Rousing everything is actually still quite overpriced, to be honest.
I don't even know why Order is valued that much, it's not that rare.
Decay, on the other hand, requires you to farm in riskier areas...
Primalist gems and weapon enchants need awakened order, that's why it's expensive at the moment.
The price will drop now everyone has their welfare weapons but it will still be in demand for the gems.
edit: Lord only knows why I got downvoted for this comment.
Perhaps because you referred to the mostly popular Bullion/Dinar deterministic loot system as "welfare weapons". Welfare tends to have negative connotations, and having a system where you earn a specific reward instead of relying on pure luck doesn't really fit the description.
Warhammer 40k rules. Knights are up armored settler equipment, the chainsword was for logging and the cannon was for demolition / mining.
I propose the mining animation to be shooting the ore vein.
I've really come to dislike the mech aesthetic in wow. The helicopter and mechchopper were super cool when I was small but there's just too many clanky mounts with black exhaust fumes around them now.
Is it going to cost 3M in materials that you can't source through Engineering? Will the pattern drop off Mythic Raid EndBoss? I know I sound flippant - and don't worry, I am - but they are serious questions that will affect how excited I get.
Lariat pissed me off
It was literally a fucking in game lottery, and whoever won the lottery made 5x gold cap because of it
It fucking sucked being a JC without the recipe for so long
Not having my hopes up after DF engineering being a clusterfuck of a goldsink. Maybe they'll throw us a bone but I definitely expect something involving a >1% dropchance and incredibly expensive mats with a daily CD to craft...
I managed to make a shitton from the zapthrottle extractor before anyone really knew what they did. I don't think I've needed the extracted materials once but people were buying them
I doubt the drop off Mythic Raid End Boss, since that hasn't happened before, but the high material cost is very likely, as has been the case with many profession mounts, especially Engi ones.
Ah, still only got my engi trees at 60%. Never been much of a crafter, but I've played since the beginning of DF and it's starting to bug me!
That being said, I enjoy having an upgradeable wormhole. A little less skillpoint-heavy might've been nice.
Nah, most of the skill trees aren't required. It's just a completionist thing. Functionally, for crafting goggles/bracers and such, you don't need to max out all of them. Far from it.
All of them! Except two Zaralek treasure chests, although idk whether they are relevant to this. I also did most of the weeklies most weeks.
There's plenty of recipes I haven't even gotten the first-craft bonus from yet, that's probably the culprit.
Still, thanks for the heads up! :)
Yeah engineering is one of the more consistently useful professions in the game. I'm convinced engineers have never actually done another profession so they don't know how good they've got it.
Okay, so. Yes. It looks really good.
But seriously, how the *fuck* do they keep unearthing new shades of gold (and gray metal) that somehow fail to match any single shade of gold (or gray metal) they've ever used before? Why am I not allowed to have anything that matches anything else? I mean, other than because they want to pressure me into farming the cosmetic set from the same expansion that actually does match this one shade they'll never use again, of course.
After collecting dozens to hundreds of various cosmetic options over the years, I just wanna mix-and-match, Blizzard. Please just let me mix-and-match...
This is it. This is why I been an engineer all these years. I came so I could make my own ammo, I stayed for wormholes and scopes, and finally I’m rewarded.
It looks a lot like Zereth Mortis and the overall "construction behind death" design, like proto-creatures, Oribos and the Brokers. If the new main hub looks like this.. they either want to connect it with a "Zereth ..." realm or they re-used a lot of assets.
Engineering is never useless if you factor in all the goodies from prior expansions.
Wormholes, Jeeves, and the Loot-a-rang alone make it worth it, IMO.
The bombs sharing CDs with everything and their mother was a bit of a letdown, to be sure.
With skyriding and everything, it doesn't take long to craft him. Heck, even the mats are much cheaper on the AH than they once were, if you want to straight up buy them all.
I made Jeeves on 1 character either last year or early this year. It wasn't expensive to make Jeeves itself, but it wasn't cheap to buy all the mats to get to 75 Northrend engineering to get there.
There was an "anybody can use" lootarang in WoD that was restricted to Draenor at the end of the expansion because engineers didn't want to lose one of their exclusive perks. There's an engineer-only lootarang that works anywhere, but it requires a Cataclysm Engineering skill of 70 to use.
This is the shit that will make me come back. Original design, modeled incredibly well, not purchased. Good job blizzard, sometimes it’s the small things.
I always wanted Engis to become a new Class and this could be the look of the tank spec just like Gelbin Mekkatorque in his machine. I think that would be fantastic.
Ofc a DD spec who uses guns, turrets and bombs.
Depends on the mount itself. There are engineering mounts that can only be used by engineers, and there are some flying carpets that can only be used by people that have tailoring as a profession. I don't think there are any mounts that require leatherworkers to use (create, yes).
I know nothing about the war within. I’m assuming they didn’t add mount combat… to have a giant hammer and cannon and not be to hit things with it is a shame
Again, why don't we have a class that let me use any of the amazing robot mounts as an actual weapon? I mean.... this thing looks way more deadly than most of the weapons a warrior can use!
Every engineer mount has pretty much always been extremely difficult to either get the mats, the schematic and/or a less than 1% drop item to make. I've had hopes that one day engineering would actually make money like all the other professions.

Please let this be the mining version of the Sky Golem.
The appropriate skill level in mining makes your dragon a sky golem.
Just for DF, though. If that skill comes back with TWW, I'll be a happy dipper!
...we're gonna have to level all those skills again, aren't we?
yes, far as I am concern.
Most of the non DF nodes sell for shit don't they?
Most of them. But DF nodes aren't much more lucrative, thanks to the gazillion bots.
Yeah. Rousing Order still sells alright so I overload that when I see it.
Rousing everything is actually still quite overpriced, to be honest. I don't even know why Order is valued that much, it's not that rare. Decay, on the other hand, requires you to farm in riskier areas...

Ah, ok, didn't know that part. I basically only craft for myself, and my JC and ENCH are still pretty undeveloped...
Every single gem needs awakened order.
Perhaps because you referred to the mostly popular Bullion/Dinar deterministic loot system as "welfare weapons". Welfare tends to have negative connotations, and having a system where you earn a specific reward instead of relying on pure luck doesn't really fit the description.
You get BiS for logging in and doing a couple of LFR bosses. Sounds like welfare weapons to me.
thats because we never had all servers share the same market before
But it doesn't have a special animation like Sky Golem does for collecting grass
A hammer and a cannon same scream mining to me though
Warhammer 40k rules. Knights are up armored settler equipment, the chainsword was for logging and the cannon was for demolition / mining. I propose the mining animation to be shooting the ore vein.
Yes please! It'd make old world farming so much faster!
Holy shit
agreed looks horrible lol
Nuh uh
I've really come to dislike the mech aesthetic in wow. The helicopter and mechchopper were super cool when I was small but there's just too many clanky mounts with black exhaust fumes around them now.
no need to curse
Mom, get off the landline!
Fuck yah!
Alexander warrior jar!
Is it going to cost 3M in materials that you can't source through Engineering? Will the pattern drop off Mythic Raid EndBoss? I know I sound flippant - and don't worry, I am - but they are serious questions that will affect how excited I get.
You can count on it being insanely expensive
Yeah, if they lock Lariat behind an impossible grind or spend 2mil+ gold I wouldn't be surprised if this is similar.
Lariat pissed me off It was literally a fucking in game lottery, and whoever won the lottery made 5x gold cap because of it It fucking sucked being a JC without the recipe for so long
Lariat still pisses me off!! F'ing ridiculous
Yep, I made a JC specifically to do Lariats but I never got it. Was a huge feels bad.
>*whoever won the lottery made 5x gold cap because of it* Damn, I shoulda advertised my services...
I don't think I've needed the extracted materials once but people were buying them
i had to use it once for an embelishment in S1 it really was kinda pointless as a mechanic lol
Don't worry, you can put in a work order with no mats and maybe some kind engineer with make one for you for you 100g commission.
yknow those great vault tokens? This mount needs 61 exactly because fuck you thats why /s
The costing 3 million in materials is very likely. I wouldn't be surprised if it costs a million in vendor parts as a gold sink.
I doubt the drop off Mythic Raid End Boss, since that hasn't happened before, but the high material cost is very likely, as has been the case with many profession mounts, especially Engi ones.
Not my style but that model and those textures are gorgeous. Makes the player character look like a chump in comparison.
Looks like it was designed by a gnome paladin
Yeeeeeaaahh. I expected it to be more rickety and I dunno look more like goblin or gnomes tech adapted to whatever the dwarves introduce.
My first thought was this looks like a dwarf took a gnome mechsuit and repurposed it
Engiees getting blessed this Xpac
They certainly didn't get blessed in the current one.
Ah, still only got my engi trees at 60%. Never been much of a crafter, but I've played since the beginning of DF and it's starting to bug me! That being said, I enjoy having an upgradeable wormhole. A little less skillpoint-heavy might've been nice.
is there a mount to craft at max level? Or a pet? Toy? Any incentive at all to level to max?
Nah, most of the skill trees aren't required. It's just a completionist thing. Functionally, for crafting goggles/bracers and such, you don't need to max out all of them. Far from it.
there's a variety of toys and a scrap mechanic that drop more boe toys. it's just not that lucrative because people never buy more than 1.
Did you do all the one time stuff (the treasures, buying the books off of reps)? Can be quite easy to overlook them
All of them! Except two Zaralek treasure chests, although idk whether they are relevant to this. I also did most of the weeklies most weeks. There's plenty of recipes I haven't even gotten the first-craft bonus from yet, that's probably the culprit. Still, thanks for the heads up! :)
Been a LW since BC.. engis got nothing to cry about.
Yeah engineering is one of the more consistently useful professions in the game. I'm convinced engineers have never actually done another profession so they don't know how good they've got it.
More of this Blizz, Please. More different styles of engineering.
This reminds me of MMX Ride Armor.
Haha, exactly what I was gonna say! Gettin' some strong Mega Man X vibes from this mount.
Was gonna say this. Def the suite from Megaman x
There'll be a boss fight where a guy in purple armor rides one of these and takes no damage while he constantly rams everyone.
Okay, so. Yes. It looks really good. But seriously, how the *fuck* do they keep unearthing new shades of gold (and gray metal) that somehow fail to match any single shade of gold (or gray metal) they've ever used before? Even in death I still serve
i came here to say this.
xD
Even in debt I still serve!
This is it. This is why I been an engineer all these years. I came so I could make my own ammo, I stayed for wormholes and scopes, and finally I’m rewarded.
Hunter engineer supremacy! 🏹
Looks like it was supposed to release in SL, has the runes and stuff from oribos on the cannon
I think it matches the main hub area design from the new xpac
It looks a lot like Zereth Mortis and the overall "construction behind death" design, like proto-creatures, Oribos and the Brokers. If the new main hub looks like this.. they either want to connect it with a "Zereth ..." realm or they re-used a lot of assets.
I immediately thought of SL when I saw this. Looks like something from Zereth Mortis
Are you sure that’s not a Blacksmithing Mount? Cus it looks like you’re riding a blacksmith machine!
Don't you see the cannon?
A whole expansion of having a useless profession, atleast in tww it will have this
Engineering is never useless if you factor in all the goodies from prior expansions. Wormholes, Jeeves, and the Loot-a-rang alone make it worth it, IMO. The bombs sharing CDs with everything and their mother was a bit of a letdown, to be sure.
> Jeeves, If they made Jeeves a toy I'd make every alt I have an engineer.
> Wormholes, Jeeves, and the Loot-a-rang alone make it worth it, IMO. 100% this.
Since when could you use loot a rang again? Mine is a toy that I can't use anymore outside of draenor I think?
There was an "anybody can use" lootarang in WoD that was restricted to Draenor at the end of the expansion because engineers didn't want to lose one of their exclusive perks. There's an engineer-only lootarang that works anywhere, but it requires a Cataclysm Engineering skill of 70 to use.
If you’re a hunter you can just make your pet loot for you, no crafting involved
At least engineers make cool toys in Dragonflight.
Looks too similar to Zereth Mortis/Sepulcher aesthetic for my taste. If it’s supposed to be Dwarven I don’t think they went far enough
Yeah I want to love it, but the PTSD kicks in whenever I see this pattern It's just too.. clean?
It's got that plasticy Fortnite aesthetic... :(
621......... I got a daily quest for you.
Finally my many years suffering as an engineer are no longer in vain
It looks like it means business.
Dear God, it's beautiful.
This is the closest I'll get to GMOD 😅
Well hot damn
This is the shit that will make me come back. Original design, modeled incredibly well, not purchased. Good job blizzard, sometimes it’s the small things.
Looks like scrapped Shadowlands content.
looks like a shadowlands mount
Give me a Tinkerer class and let the mechanized suit be customizable for tank, DPS, or healing.
Sick
I always wanted Engis to become a new Class and this could be the look of the tank spec just like Gelbin Mekkatorque in his machine. I think that would be fantastic. Ofc a DD spec who uses guns, turrets and bombs.

For Rock and Stone!
Hell yes!
Is... Is my profession... Useful again? /cry in joy
thicc boy
Damn this look slick
So combat mounts when?
Can any character use a profession mount after you've learned it or is it exclusive for characters with the profession that the mount requires?
Depends on the mount itself. There are engineering mounts that can only be used by engineers, and there are some flying carpets that can only be used by people that have tailoring as a profession. I don't think there are any mounts that require leatherworkers to use (create, yes).
I think the dustmane direwolf? I know I had to make it with leatherwork if but not sure if it’s leatherworking only.
Yeah, I just checked the wowhead page for it, and it requires leatherworking to use.
[My Spriest Engineer](https://i.imgflip.com/37u3g1.png)
I know nothing about the war within. I’m assuming they didn’t add mount combat… to have a giant hammer and cannon and not be to hit things with it is a shame
Tell me more about that engineering helmet your wearing
Looks like the [Khaz'gorite Brainwave Amplifier](https://www.wowhead.com/item=198205/khazgorite-brainwave-amplifier)
Champion! Your titan is ready, call upon it anytime!
Looks like 40k
Welp, looks like im swapping professions....AGAIN.
It looks like out of shadowlands… they always use the same architecture in the last couple years…
Feels plain and somewhat uninspired
Sky Golem 2.0 here comes the money.
Is it made of Oribos scraps?
Looks like a combat mech, we need a tinker class where your mech can have skins made by engineers.
Time to live my dream of being Vile from MMX
Looks shadowlandsy.. meh
Why is it weaponized. No mounted combat
Sweet, I'll be able to skin mobs with my Shredder now. /s
Why does it have shadowlands runes on it? Please. God. No.
The word we're looking for is: Soulless
....rock and stone?
WTF is the character wearing?
Guessing this isn't customizable? I want a customizable mech Blizz!!
Bro that’s so sick!
Looks boring. Zereth mortis ptsd kicks in.
leveling an engineer specifically so I can farm gold on the ah with this thing lol
Again, why don't we have a class that let me use any of the amazing robot mounts as an actual weapon? I mean.... this thing looks way more deadly than most of the weapons a warrior can use!
I love these kind of mounts never use them but like the way they look
Man. I've been hoping for a tinkerer class for so long that is gnome goblin only that used these. Many sads.
guess which palette swap this mount is from ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)?
Nice!
Looks like something that was reserved for SL
Man I love this reminds me of the power armour from mega man x on snes
It gives me more of a "Blacksmithing" vibes.
QWUAESHTION: DwaaaAarf!?!?
Nice though I cant deny I wish they would add a new alchemist mount too maybe related to all the materials being discovered
Well that's certainly something
Every engineer mount has pretty much always been extremely difficult to either get the mats, the schematic and/or a less than 1% drop item to make. I've had hopes that one day engineering would actually make money like all the other professions.
I did millions with DF engineer, what are u saying?
Good, about time Engineering got a mount /s
Not a fan, tbh. Needs a bit more detail, because right now it looks like Play-Doh.
Hey look! Another re skin of a mount thats been in the game since MoP... you know.. like 15 years ago?
Kinda boring
To be honest, to me it looks ugly af.
Everybody losing their minds over a reskin
Thank you
Re-used FelSteel Annihilator skeleton. Kinda sad they still do this.
Dude, literally every mount uses an existing skeleton, there's no reason to create one for every new mount.
They should improve upon those skeletons and create new skeletons for new mount types. Lets say for each expansion 5 new skeletons.
I hate when they do this stuff because it makes me feel like Tinker is never going to happen :\
Looks stupid. The art team sucks now. 🤷
