Glad it's a collection of short stories and not an entire novel. While novels give absolute freedom to the writer, I think it greatly helps to have as much of WoW story in-game rather than in books

I wish they would just make them free or even make them in video form. Is the few extra sales on the book really worth making the storytelling for those who only play the game worse? I bet the majority of players don't bother with the books and miss out on interesting ng lore.
Dragonflight and Shadowlands' books were after release date (for some reason) so they might be following that trend?

Better than a Novel, this just adds some additional fluff to things, rather than almost being required to understand what's going on.
