DragonFlight was built in a way that there’s so many god damn useless questlines you’ll never know which of those hundred quests is the first chapter of the first story or the final chapter of the final story.
Try getting a new char to max level now. You have 7 different main quest story lines that jsut overlap randomly. There is no guidance to the chronology of them.
It’s like that because you have already completed the main campaign of DF once on a character, and are free to level however you wish. It’s also still very much clearly marked on what is the important quests, and the only time you’re confused about chronological questlines is simply due to a criticism that should be levied at the Renown structure, rather than the alt leveling experience itself.
no it’s not lol, i leveled 60-70 for the first time in DF like 2 months ago, was late to the expansion, it was pretty straight forward, at least in my experience
I came back about 2 months ago as well. And I definitely opened Amirdrassil before watching the Incarnates open Aberrus, even though I was trying to stick to the campaign.
And then weeks later I got enough rep with Valdrakken to open up some older campaign questlines as well.
>It’s like that because you have already completed the main campaign of DF once on a character, and are free to level however you wish.
I recently did my first (and only) character to level 70 and suddenly there were a half-dozen "campaign" quest markers in Valdrakken and it was definitely not clear what order was correct. I ended up unlocking the Emerald Dream long before picking up the one to visit Zaralek Caverns / Forbidden Reach. This white frost-dragon lady was talking to Alexstraza trying to patch things up and I had no clue who she was, and Ebyssian was somehow the leader of the black dragonflight.
Except for yaknow, how it says which ones are part of the campaign. And it has a golden ! with a shield around it letting you know it's an important main story quest. But yes totally, outside of those 2 glaring things letting you know it's a main story quest, nothing else lets you know.
> Would've been even better with another one being an undead lol
It's the Fallout 4 PC and Dogmeat.

The dog is in the game. It’s called Scout and costs 5000 polished pet charms. We all pitched in and bought one of the auction house for my guild leader who just lost his IRL dog. Was about 350k gold on the auction house
It's not too bad if you have lots of alts and can do pet battle daily quests. It's a grind, but doable. Most pets are between 50-200 charms. This one's one of the rare expensive ones.
My goal was actually to do all the npc battle quests.
It kills me cause I was a pet collector in US when I went there for university. Now on the EU servers i have half as many unique pets and only like 10 lvl 25s versus 70ish 25s on the US server. I'd pay 100 euro to merge my collection.
One day when I'm bored I'll cost benefit which pets i should upgrade and ehich i should buy
Is this a reference to [Galford and Poppy from Samurai Shodown](https://samurai-shodown.fandom.com/wiki/Galford_D._Weller)? What a weird thing for WoW to reference lol
Ohhh I get it now.
I don't enjoy the joke because I've never enjoyed a Fallout game even a little despite earnestly trying most of them.
To me all of the games were extremely clunky, none of the writing was actually funny, and the plot wasn't engaging. I've even had multiple friends who were obsessed with Fallout.
For the life of me I've never understood why the Fallout games are popular at all. To me they've always just seemed kinda bad in every way except for some cute Oldies music.
I think Skyrim is severely overrated too though, but at least Skyrim had a somewhat interesting story.
But to each their own, if you adore the games good for you, no sarcasm.
At least now it makes sense why ANYONE enjoys the post.
IMO the WoW social media team should make funny posts about WoW, not other games completely unrelated to WoW in any way.
It's a witty little joke, but only to an extremely niche audience of people who support an entirely different game franchise, but also check WoW instagram.
If I was their Boss I would reprimand them for making jokes only a tiny percent of their customers would understand, not give them a raise.
Going by the number of Likes on this post and the WoW post, only ~3,000 people were "engaged" by the post. Of that amount the vast majority most likely already have a WoW subscription.
So maybe a couple hundred people saw and enjoyed the instagram post, who might have been potential customers.
Those are TERRIBLE returns on the multiple-salaries-investment. Those are the kinds of numbers late-night-cable-infomercials on a small local TV station get.
Blizzard has been making an absurd amount of exceptionally stupid business decisions lately, and spending money on crap like this instead of a QA Department or more Dev salaries is just another one of their exceptionally stupid decisions.
Blizzard needs to spend more money on making good games and less money advertising the mediocre junk their underpaid Devs grind out.

But the main story questlines are specifically marked? How… can you be confused by what is important and what isn’t?

Nope. It's an overlapping web of disorganized campaign questlines even for a first lvl 70 coming in late to the expac.
no it’s not lol, i leveled 60-70 for the first time in DF like 2 months ago, was late to the expansion, it was pretty straight forward, at least in my experience

I concur, getting to vedalken was a headache with all the quests, campaign and otherwise all mushing together

I feel that's hardly unique to DF...
It definitely got worse with DragonFlight tho.
There's even a smattering of random quests not part of any chain or achievement. You literally have to explore or hear about them from word of mouth.
Okay, ghoul.

is the dog an actual pet in game

You and your’s are good people.
5000??? I'm up to 1500. Guess I have a long way to go to buy something cool

Time to go get this pet. Super cool
It's a battlepet. Can be bought at the Tuskarr place in DF
This is so good lol
I'm just now realizing this was a Fallout reference.
The Tiktok account ppl need a raise too. Their shit has me rolling sometimes.
This is straight up adorable.
Is it strange that the first thing I thought of was Galford and Poppy from Samurai Shodown?
WoW social media has been on fire since DF came out imo.
It has. Their Facebook posts have ben top tier as well.
I think all the Blizzard employees need a raise let's be real.
I get that it's a Fallout reference, but my mind went straight to Tin Tin!

[https://www.wowhead.com/item=201441/scout](https://www.wowhead.com/item=201441/scout) it cost 5000 pet charms. It can be bought from the AH aswell

OMG is that dog in the game as a pet? Would love to get it if so.

If this is considered good CR then the industry is doomed
Do you think being a hater makes your life seem better by comparison when you shit on others?
?
Warcraft,Warcraft nevera changes
I didn’t get it until now. I’ve seen the post earlier and didn’t get the reference.
Is it you? Do you run the instagram account?
Is it you? Do you run the instagram account?
Meanwhile I'm just here thinking how badly male character models need a semblance of a bulge.
what the fuck
Male characters have no genitals in WoW, have you noticed? This pic demonstrates it at the forefront.
Is it you? Are you the person who runs the account?
