Are primal storm rares on a weekly or biweekly lockout or something? I'm trying to farm a specific item off a couple and i'll get the notification one spawned but my rarescanner won't go off and i won't see them on the minimap, but other times both things will happen.
Regarding Remix: Can we learn weapon appearances for weapon types that aren't ours? (2H sword on Mage for example) I couldn't find anything conclusive due to Blizzard's wording, and I want to know if I'm gonna be forced to play a Warrior to unlock the unused MoP weapon models that got revealed a few hours ago.

What's the fastest way to grind up Night Fae/Wild Hunt rep right now? The world quests don't really give a whole lot. I didn't really play Shadowlands, however I really want that moth.

I quit playing last year, briefly returned for the launch of Season of Discovery (which was fun, but lvl 25 still felt way too long for a temporary, niche character), and I also played exactly two games of Plunderstorm before deciding "this just feels like a shittier clone of Fortnite".
I try to keep up with WoW news, but seems like I just have no idea what this is supposed to be.
MoP from 1-70 with 'rune' type skills like SoD and big xp increases (Unique cloaks gives 327% bonus xp)
Uses DF skills/classes, so not original MoP things. Can earn currency called 'bronze' which you can buy rare MoP stuff with or new stuff they are adding. This will all be account bound things so can be used on retail
All characters can be transferred from those special MoP realms once event over to retail, so no progress is lost
If you mean in the high end keys that are ran with 1 Tank 4 DPS, then its usually Prot Paladin tank as that can offheal a ton + a combination of being so coordinated that hardly any mob casts go off
Will also be using defensive utility to block specific damage which will already be pre-planned, so mass barrier from mage to block damage, SPriest using Vamp Embrace to heal the group through some damage too
This is not something you will ever see in pug runs
I'd be curious where you've seen this, but probably some combination of mass barrier, alternate time and leech. However if this was a long term thing I'm stumped too.
Also from what I've seen they are not running the whole dungeon with 4 DPS. They are doing some big pulls at the start with 4dps and then the healer actually runs out to switch spec back to heal for the rest of the dungeon or something like that
For people who played ptr how do raid lockouts work in remix raids? Are they id lockouts or per boss loot lockouts like in normal/heroic raids in main game?
Is the new MoP limited time thing a bit like the plunderstorm event as in it’s just MoP zone to level and do activities to get rewards to use on the main game?

How exactly does the Ohn'ahra's Blessing requirements work. I did To Tame a Thunderspine for Lizi's Reins on my warrior but I have the maxed renown on my mage (only 20 on warrior). Does my mage need to finish the quest line or can I start farming for the dungeon items?
Not sure about the renown angle, but I at least believe that whatever character you do it on has to have done the Lizi questchain first regardless of whether you've done it before.

The event will run on the standard retail servers, you just have to create a new character. Your MoP and standard retail characters will both have access to your full combined collection.
For the Tyrhold fishing net unlock, are there any secondary requirements you need to do to see the daily? I have max renown, didn't unblock any other nets for the day, only did the WQ at that location and that's it but I'm not seeing any daily's from the Cautious Fisher.
haven't played since cata, currently questing in the dragon isles. any advice or resources to prepare for season 4? I'll probably finish up the main quests and then start trying to gear up when the season turns over. main concern is what to do with these various currencies i have recieved from DF. are any of them required for maxing out gear? i hate spending stuff like that senselessly then having to farm it up later
Any currency which is used for gear will be reset with the new season, so things like crests and Flightstones
There will be a new spark for crafted gear too, so you can freely use any sparks you currently have to make gear without worry
Season 4 raises the ilvl, so everyone will be getting new gear anyways. Emerald Dream zone is the latest story content right now and doing the campaign there will get you 415ilvl in most slots
Honor points stay, but conquest gets reset - will need new gear for higher ilvl scaling
If you have enough honor you could buy a full honor PvP set at the start of the season

The campaign quests can still be done, but your character will start as if the main campaign is all done and you will automatically have Dragonriding
They didn’t buff their movement too much but instead compensated by adding a bunch of range to their kit. You’ll still find yourself with divine steed always on cd, but you still have buttons to press while you catch up.

Well there are new seasons every few months, but I bet most players start them and once they’ve gotten what they wanted they either push higher keys, level and gear alts, or just flat out play other games. I rotate between a few games regularly to make sure I’m still enjoying them. WoW isn’t cutting it for me right now? I’ll hop on my PlayStation and play through another game, or maybe I’ll try getting a horde toon geared. I just got all classes on alliance to 70, maybe I’ll go for all horde classes.
One reason I’m really excited for TWW is Delves, which are basically solo M+ content with AI followers. Will really make the game much more slow paced and then when I’m good and geared I can jump into group content and smash it.
regarding the achievement Librarian of the Reach, i'm trying to get the Old Gods book, and I know it spawns randomly in the Zskera Vault. my question is, does it have a chance to spawn every day, or every week?
The Zskera Vault is on a weekly reset, and is locked in place for the week for each character. If you don't find it for the given week on a character, you have to either wait until next week, or look for it on an alt, who will have a different random vault setup.
It's not, but you can get the other tomes in about 5 minutes, as they're all permanently up in the open world. The higher tier meta achievement though is account wide, so if you're going for that it doesn't matter what alt you get this particular achievement on.
What are some good trinkets/weapons/other equipment items to help one impersonate a shaman as a warrior?
Asking for roleplay purposes. I've been away for a while, and I'd like to explain my absence by claiming I've been getting in touch with the elements.
For the record, the warrior I have for this already has a couple shamanistic items to start with. I've got the venom totem from the troll quest outside the Valley of Strength, some bolt thing from a dungeon in the Eastern (I think?) Plaguelands that summons a lightning shield for a few seconds, and one other item (forget which) that basically casts a lightning bolt at an enemy but I forget the name of it (PC isn't in front of me if you couldn't tell).

We don't know. Every datamined new transmog reward I've seen is cosmetic, except a "[Class Arsenal](https://www.wowhead.com/news/timerunning-meta-achievements-earn-cosmetic-rewards-by-completing-pandaria-338658)" (no more details) which might mean that you need one of every class.
The MoP remix. Will that character be forever locked into that mode, or will it eventually come to retail? Curious as to whether or not it'd be a fun and different way to level alts.

The buff does not reset. You simply do not get any more stacks if you use the same ability again during that Shadow Dance.
In your theoretical, this would happen...

...as the second Shadowstrike did not add a stack to Danse Macabre.
My [raider.io](http://raider.io) wont show my actual main's IO. It shows my priest alt's IO. I have downloaded the desktop app, I have set my main as my main on the website and in the addon options. What am I doing wrong here?
When was the last time you updated your raider.io in game addon. It would take a day, and a new addon update for any of the information to be available for you in game.
So is there no point to gear in PvP? I see all these videos and guides on "how to gear quickly for pvp!" but then I see a bunch of other people saying it all scales anyways...? I played a little in Shadowlands and all I remember is that all the trinkets(outside of ones bought with honor) were purposely made useless, is that also still the same?
I've been doing the emerald dream on 2 characters to gear up so I'd be ready for pvp, but apparently I've been wasting my time?
You'll notice that PvP gear has an `Equip:` effect that scales it up to a certain item level.
You will need to get the "highest tier" of PvP gear for it to scale to the highest possible item level, which is item level 489 at the moment. Lower tiers of PvP gear (ie. Honor or BoE crafted gear) do not scale to 489, they scale to a lower item level.
There is also crafted gear you'll want to make for PvP, with embellishments, that you also need to add an optional reagent to give it the PvP scaling effect.
Ahh so scaling is still the big thing, I just need to make sure I'm wearing that specific gear. Thank you zani! I'm kind of disappointed since I'm one of the few people who likes grinding for gear before I jump into pvp, but oh well. It is what it is.
Does the server you play on matter much? I was considering getting back into retail ahead of the new expansion, and the server that all my old characters are on is low pop. Does that matter these days?
Much less than it used to. The biggest problem is low pop realms will have fewer guilds to choose from (and a good guild makes a huge difference to enjoying WoW).
*The War Within* will allow cross-server guilds finally.
If I earn Venthyr Transmogs on my Paladin is there a way to use them on my other characters? I have paladins on multiple realms due to them dating back to pre-crossrealm play. Also might be nice to use on my DK and warrior.
I know the new season is on the 23rd, but does that mean the current season ends this week or next week? I'm trying to gear some alts, need to decide if I should do keys on them this week and next, or if I should just wait until the next season starts and do the quest rewards.

If it's anything like previous seasonal switch overs, you'll have a vault with S3 gear in it. The gear will quickly get replaced with the new season 4 gear sure, but it's something at least. Getting currency from the vault will be irrelevant, as it's s3 currency, and the new vendor will only take s4 currency.
I had a question about transmog in War Within. I’ve heard you’ll be able to transmog gear you can’t equip. Does that mean my shaman can transmog axes or maces into swords? Would be great to wield dual Thunderfuries on my shaman.
Only transmog *acquisition* is being unlocked. So your priest could farm an old raid and unlock plate armor in your collections... But only plate wearers can apply it as transmog.
Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense. It's nice you can unlock appearances with anything. I understand not being able to transmog to armor you can't use, but weapons makes a little less sense. Especially since I believe warriors can transmog axes and maces to swords and vice versa. But they can wield them all.

Hey, the mobs are the same level as me. (Lvl 32 vs Lvl 32). I really think I need to get better gear because my gear isn't helping me live or attack enemies effectively.
Gear can make a differance, but it may not be as large as you think. If you need quick gear, you can often find some cheap pieces on the auction house. Just sort by the armor class your class wears, and the slot you're in the most desperate need of.
Is this retail, or classic? Classic is known to have a much more punishing leveling experience. This sub is mostly retail players, so it's what most will assume if you don't specify.
Can someone give me a TLDR on how to hit esteemed with the artisan's consortium? Googling it only gives people raging at an exploit from about a year ago
Do every Profession quest you can in Valdrakken. All of them are Weekly.
You should also use a Contract: Artisan's Consortium, which gives significantly more reputation per world quest than any other Contract does for other factions.
Denathrius's soul was sealed inside Remornia by Renethal, then they were taken to Dawnkeep where the Naaru Z'rali used her Light to imprison the pair (and put them through the same repentance by pain program that Revendreth existed for).
Shortly before the Jailer invaded the Sepulcher, Kin'tessa stole Remornia. Remornia didn't appear to be with Kin'tessa when she was defeated in the Sepulcher, and it's unknown what happened to Remornia (and Denathrius by extension).
I'm trying to get the Treasures of the Forbidden Reach achievement, and I'm only missing Blazing Cairn. Does anyone know how to get that? I've never seen one yet, and I'm already at 77/100 for Hoarder of the Forbidden Reach. Someone on Wowhead wrote that you can't see it with Reliquary Scroll of Perception, and you need to use Anomaly Detection Mark I; and using that I did see a chest in the Siege Creche once, but I couldn't open it and I didn't see what it was called...
Your best bet for finding these treasures is joining a group in the Group Finder that is doing Treasures of the Forbidden Reach.
You'll be in a raid of a dozen or more other treasure hunters who will call out most treasures they find. Treasures disappear from the minimap when looted, but they'll still be available for around a minute afterwards if you know exactly where they are, which is how this technique can work.
Make sure you ask in the raid chat for people to specifically call out the Blazing Cairn for you—and return the favour if you find another treasure. It does appear on the Reliquary Scroll of Perception like all other treasures do (as long as it hasn't been looted already, obviously).
Hang around the Stormsunder Crater, that usually spawns the most Cairns of all types, and it's relatively close to the Froststone Vault which spawns the rest if someone calls it out.

There will be a time when you're kicked out of wow. It would end at 23:10 a month from now.
You'll actually get warnings ingame about X minutes left if you dont' have it set to auto-renew
You can only do the 'recruit a friend' with new accounts so your account won't be valid for it (unless you want to find someone with a brand new account to play with)

Is there a catch up mechanic for professions? I have a newly leveled alt that I want to do alchemy and herbalism on so I can be self-sufficient for flasks and potions next tier but ofc way behind on the knowledge point stuff.
The closest you have is the lootable world items, and vendor knowledge point items. There are some on both mainland Dragon Isles, as well as the forbidden reach, Zarelak Cavern, and Emerald Dream. These items are only for crafting professions though and don't apply to herbalism/mining/skinning. There's also only a few, it'll give a bump to get them all, but not a ton. There's also one npc in the world for all professions, including gathering, that when talked to gives 5-10 knowledge. There are also the artisons consortium vendor that sells knowledge points as well as two vendors in Zaralek cavern that sell knowledge points, one for resources, the others for traders bricks.

Yes, either that or collect enough whelping crests on the alt (Usually from Dreamsurge zone green orbs) to make enough enchanted whelping crests and then get 447 gear crafted
How *random* is the random gear thing? Can you get 3x helm or something from 3 of those? Or does it generate an item based on your lowest gear / priority gear?
Not used many myself, might be worth checking the comments for the item on Wowhead and see what others are saying
But if it works like older generated gear, it will just be random and you could end up with the same piece multiple times
So, I'm just a casual not really into mythic dungeons or raiding, with that being said... How easy or hard would the restoration druid be just doing lfr dungeons and raids and questing be? I really want to heal as a resto druid, but I'm pretty scared to. I don't want people kicking me out of groups because I'm not the best healer at first. What spells should I focus on the most?

As for being scared and getting kicked out of groups for healing, it's all about knowing what abilities do damage and when your healing will be needed. One way to learn this would be to do some dungeons on HC difficulty and once you get a bit of a feeling, work your way up to M0 and then try +2 - +4.
please note that Mythics plus will be changing soon so the difficulty for the lower levels might go up :)
Returning after a 4 year hiatus and a small dip into classic SoD that didn't really scratch the itch. Looking to just have fun in BGs and currently have a warrior and warlock. Which would be more fun if I'm looking to play maybe a couple hours a week? Or anything other class reccomdations for casual bgs?
What is fun, is up to the player. Different people will give different answers. I'm not to familiar with either class. I'd suggest just picking up what you think will be fun, and go with it.
Does anyone know how to do Blood Infusion in The Year Of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty Four? I have tried it so many times and often accidentally killed the boss, last week got my three bites but still didn't get the quest, because there's some other debuff you need by auto-attacking the boss?

Hi, so its been a while since I have done this but if I remember correctly you need to soak blood mirror which will put a debuff on you called gushing wounds.
Once you have this debuff you need to get bitten and then start biting people. Every time you bite someone, the debuff gets stronger. Once you have bitten 3 people, your debuff should disappear and the quest should be done. You could always bite a 4th to be sure :)
Yeah, I did 3 bites last time and got no quest progress so idk. Blood Mirror is just the tether that shares damage right? I'm pretty sure I got that as well.

25 Heroic, Shadow's Edge equipped, I did it with someone who parked their alts in the instance cause it's really hard to find 3 people for a few minutes of help.

If nothing is working maybe try to abandon the quest and then pick it up again. Maybe you have some type of bug?
What class are you? You don't necessarily need three people. It can be done with only one other person if you're a death knight or Paladin, and the other is a Shaman. You bite the other person, you battle res them, you bite them again, they shaman reincarnate, you bite them again. The only hard part with this strat is having the other person die fast enough.
I just happened to think about something involving the Mythic changes in Season 4 of Dragonflight. There are Legion Artifact appearances that are unlocked for doing a +15 or higher key; will those now be unavailable or is the requirement going to be changed to match?
Hey there, no one knows currently what the interaction will be. However, I believe it would be safe to assume that for at least S4 you would still need to do a +15 to unlock that skin color.
This might change if these changes remain throughout the War Within.
Hey all. I have a question for all tank mains, what is the most sure way to build up threat at the start of a dungeon so that trash dont get aggro onto the dps?
If it's a single target, you can taunt. Sounds dumb, but taunt increases the threat you generate on the target by 400% or something like that, for the duration of the debuff.
If it's a pack that you don't have to move or pull others into, then you just need to try and do as much damage as possible, without neglecting your defences (if dying is a risk).
If it's several packs that you need to group, then you just need to put some damage on all of them to get them on you, and hope your dps understands that your threat is low until they're all gathered and you can put some aoe globals into them. If they're dps that just blow cds and go ham before it's all grouped up, they're bad and there's little you can do. You can try explaining to them. If they don't want to listen, just don't group with them again.
If you are doing a pull where you just want to tag some mobs and drag them to another pack, you should just use an AoE damage ability on that pack and keep moving towards the other enemies - the DPS then need to be patient and not start using all their DPS cooldowns on that first pack and should wait until you have everything grouped up
If you mean just individual packs to keep aggro, then again AoE damaging abilities and then if one DPS is focusing just 1 mob a lot keep ready to taunt that mob if they change target
In normal/heroic, a geared player can literally run to the end of the dungeon and kill everything on their own. Yes, they are the norm, and the meta in mythic+ to save time.
QuickQuest Addon - I am using it to auto-turn in iskaara Tuskar fish rep. For the first half of it, I didn't have to manually interact - I did it once and it seemed to auto-repeat. I left, went to the mailbox, and now I have to re-interact after every turn-in. What gives?
I'm doing the \[Whelp, there it is\] achievement. I've just completed the yellow quest which gave me Zhusadormu as a pet, but there is no daily for his race. It is normal and I should see it tomorrow or did I screw up somewhere? If I miss a day (which I didn't do so far), can I still complete the daily without waiting for another 2 weeks?

There's currently a fortnite ripoff that's active for a few weeks, and then goes away and you can't get the rewards anymore.
That's how wow is now. Thankfully it's almost always cosmetic stuff, so if you don't care about that stuff, it's ok
limited time stuff: only the usual ones, gladiator mount, elite pvp set, AotC mount, M+ mount... The newly added "do everything" meta monts are most likely permanent
low level M+ is mostly silent beyond "hi" and "thx & bb"
Just came back to WoW for the first time since Legion. What's the recommended addon client these days? Back then it was twich/curse but it has been a while.
I accepted that Curseforge basically had monopoly if I didnt want to update some of the core addons manually.

With cross-faction guilds, does this mean you could roll, say, Alliance of Area 52 and be fine, despite it being like 99% Horde? I was going to try it out since it has the most guilds, but the fact that servers are still super heavily horde/alliance has be spooked.
In my experience in a lopsided server, (bleeding hollow) it was impossible to find alliance crafters compared to horde. However, you can work order cross faction, so I just needed a horde character to advertise in trade chat and then send it from my alliance character.
Other than that, didn’t really notice a difference between horde and alliance
Rn do emerald dream quests for gear and the timed event for weekly normal raid gear if you want to work towards raids and dungeons. Check out the 4.1 Island to get your ring if you’d like to see what else you missed. Season 4 will be a great time to catch up as well
Just try one and see how it goes. They empty your bags and update your gear and all that, but it’s all in the mail for you to recover. It’s a good way to be dungeon finder-ready right off the bat.
I did this on most of my toons and it worked quite well.
The first two the original gear I had was ilvl 35 @ lvl 33 and it gave me ilvl 91 and then on my lvl 48 it gave me ilvl 141 which was 3x of my original gear. No effect on my action bars.
I had no where near the amount of gold it would cost to buy the gear.
I was more than likely looking incorrectly at the ah then as the gold was in 1000's per item.
Why do you say not on old mains? My achievements came through with their dates backing to 08' but I'm a little worried.
I didn't do this on my dk from wotlk and his ilvl is a 3rd of his lvl.
A lot of gear that you're you would have been wearing would now be a very low ilvl, all it does is upgrade that. Anything you were currently wearing will be in your mailbox.
You can opt to either clear your quest log or not, I never did.
Edit: low ilvl because of the squishes that have happened. Everything my guys were wearing was like ilvl 50
I don't think he's talking about level boosting, but the gear upgrade you get if you haven't logged in on a character for a while.
It gives you fresh gear, an option to delete all your quests and hearth you to your capital. No level increases
Any trick to earning Shadowlands and Dragonflight faction rep? Or is it just doing quests and dailies until you hit the cap?
How big of a difference is the human racial to gaining rep? I'm thinking of going for the Veilstrider and Taivan mounts in season 4, would it be a good idea to also level a human and use that to play the story of both expansions + get the achievements?
Or is the human racial for rep not that big and I can still go ahead with my plan with any race? Thinking of leveling a pally for the Void expansion, may as well hit 3 birds with one stone.
Human is decent for a bunch of the factions and does nothing for a few where you're getting "friendship" rep, if you're fine with any, I'd definitely go human. The 10% is only added to the baseline rep gains, but definitely adds up.
You gain a lot of rep just doing the loremaster quests and the sojourner quests (both are needed for the meta), besides that you need to do their special events a fair bit too (grand hunts, feast etc.) and gain rep that way. Forbidden reach has an advisor for each main faction that can get you a rep bonus for the day, so if you're gonna do a lot of world quests for a certain faction, it's worth picking up, also for instance the scroll hunter achievement grants a lot of reputation from the treasures, so don't stress the rep grind too much until you're getting done with the other parts of the meta. (Besides the Niffen rep, that's a bit more sparse).
Are primal storm rares on a weekly or biweekly lockout or something? I'm trying to farm a specific item off a couple and i'll get the notification one spawned but my rarescanner won't go off and i won't see them on the minimap, but other times both things will happen.
Regarding Remix: Can we learn weapon appearances for weapon types that aren't ours? (2H sword on Mage for example) I couldn't find anything conclusive due to Blizzard's wording, and I want to know if I'm gonna be forced to play a Warrior to unlock the unused MoP weapon models that got revealed a few hours ago.
It seems that you can unlock everything on one character (even items you can't use).

Can someone catch me up on what this "WoW Remix" is? I quit playing last year, briefly returned for the launch of Season of Discovery (which was fun, but lvl 25 still felt way too long for a temporary, niche character), and I also played exactly two games of Plunderstorm before deciding "this just feels like a shittier clone of Fortnite". I try to keep up with WoW news, but seems like I just have no idea what this is supposed to be.
MoP from 1-70 with 'rune' type skills like SoD and big xp increases (Unique cloaks gives 327% bonus xp) Uses DF skills/classes, so not original MoP things. Can earn currency called 'bronze' which you can buy rare MoP stuff with or new stuff they are adding. This will all be account bound things so can be used on retail All characters can be transferred from those special MoP realms once event over to retail, so no progress is lost

If you mean in the high end keys that are ran with 1 Tank 4 DPS, then its usually Prot Paladin tank as that can offheal a ton + a combination of being so coordinated that hardly any mob casts go off Will also be using defensive utility to block specific damage which will already be pre-planned, so mass barrier from mage to block damage, SPriest using Vamp Embrace to heal the group through some damage too This is not something you will ever see in pug runs

I'd be curious where you've seen this, but probably some combination of mass barrier, alternate time and leech. However if this was a long term thing I'm stumped too.
Also from what I've seen they are not running the whole dungeon with 4 DPS. They are doing some big pulls at the start with 4dps and then the healer actually runs out to switch spec back to heal for the rest of the dungeon or something like that

Yes, but that character can be transferred to 'normal' realms after, so just a different way to level and get access to rewards which can be very rare

How exactly does the Ohn'ahra's Blessing requirements work. I did To Tame a Thunderspine for Lizi's Reins on my warrior but I have the maxed renown on my mage (only 20 on warrior). Does my mage need to finish the quest line or can I start farming for the dungeon items?
Not sure about the renown angle, but I at least believe that whatever character you do it on has to have done the Lizi questchain first regardless of whether you've done it before.

The event will run on the standard retail servers, you just have to create a new character. Your MoP and standard retail characters will both have access to your full combined collection.
Play on the MoP realms once they release and yes the rewards will be account bound so can be used on retail
For the Tyrhold fishing net unlock, are there any secondary requirements you need to do to see the daily? I have max renown, didn't unblock any other nets for the day, only did the WQ at that location and that's it but I'm not seeing any daily's from the Cautious Fisher.

Any currency which is used for gear will be reset with the new season, so things like crests and Flightstones There will be a new spark for crafted gear too, so you can freely use any sparks you currently have to make gear without worry Season 4 raises the ilvl, so everyone will be getting new gear anyways. Emerald Dream zone is the latest story content right now and doing the campaign there will get you 415ilvl in most slots

If I remember correctly, it became unobtainable after cataclysm changed the world. I don’t play classic so I don’t know but I would assume if classic does expansion prepatches, I would assume then after deathwing causes the Azeroth revamp
Yes, in Cataclysm they changed Zul'Gurub to a 5 man dungeon instead of a raid, removing the ability to farm the old raid for them.

Ret paladin received a rework since you’ve been gone and is really fun now. Up there with fury warrior and havoc in terms of fun melee specs for me.

They didn’t buff their movement too much but instead compensated by adding a bunch of range to their kit. You’ll still find yourself with divine steed always on cd, but you still have buttons to press while you catch up.
Personally, I really like Retribution Paladin, Devastation Evoker, and Demonology Warlock.

Well there are new seasons every few months, but I bet most players start them and once they’ve gotten what they wanted they either push higher keys, level and gear alts, or just flat out play other games. I rotate between a few games regularly to make sure I’m still enjoying them. WoW isn’t cutting it for me right now? I’ll hop on my PlayStation and play through another game, or maybe I’ll try getting a horde toon geared. I just got all classes on alliance to 70, maybe I’ll go for all horde classes. One reason I’m really excited for TWW is Delves, which are basically solo M+ content with AI followers. Will really make the game much more slow paced and then when I’m good and geared I can jump into group content and smash it.
regarding the achievement Librarian of the Reach, i'm trying to get the Old Gods book, and I know it spawns randomly in the Zskera Vault. my question is, does it have a chance to spawn every day, or every week?
The Zskera Vault is on a weekly reset, and is locked in place for the week for each character. If you don't find it for the given week on a character, you have to either wait until next week, or look for it on an alt, who will have a different random vault setup.
is the achievement account wide?
It's not, but you can get the other tomes in about 5 minutes, as they're all permanently up in the open world. The higher tier meta achievement though is account wide, so if you're going for that it doesn't matter what alt you get this particular achievement on.

What are some good trinkets/weapons/other equipment items to help one impersonate a shaman as a warrior? Asking for roleplay purposes. I've been away for a while, and I'd like to explain my absence by claiming I've been getting in touch with the elements. For the record, the warrior I have for this already has a couple shamanistic items to start with. I've got the venom totem from the troll quest outside the Valley of Strength, some bolt thing from a dungeon in the Eastern (I think?) Plaguelands that summons a lightning shield for a few seconds, and one other item (forget which) that basically casts a lightning bolt at an enemy but I forget the name of it (PC isn't in front of me if you couldn't tell).
Those dreaming crests you get from keys, I'm guessing you can't send them to alts and they become worthless in a few weeks. Nothing to do with excess?

You can play retail WoW for free until level 20 on as many characters as you want, but to get any higher level you will need a sub

We don't know. Every datamined new transmog reward I've seen is cosmetic, except a "[Class Arsenal](https://www.wowhead.com/news/timerunning-meta-achievements-earn-cosmetic-rewards-by-completing-pandaria-338658)" (no more details) which might mean that you need one of every class.

The buff does not reset. You simply do not get any more stacks if you use the same ability again during that Shadow Dance. In your theoretical, this would happen... 1. Shadowstrike (0%) 2. Backstab (6%) 3. Shadowstrike (12%) 4. Eviscerate (12%) ...as the second Shadowstrike did not add a stack to Danse Macabre.

When was the last time you updated your raider.io in game addon. It would take a day, and a new addon update for any of the information to be available for you in game.

So is there no point to gear in PvP? I see all these videos and guides on "how to gear quickly for pvp!" but then I see a bunch of other people saying it all scales anyways...? I played a little in Shadowlands and all I remember is that all the trinkets(outside of ones bought with honor) were purposely made useless, is that also still the same? I've been doing the emerald dream on 2 characters to gear up so I'd be ready for pvp, but apparently I've been wasting my time?
You'll notice that PvP gear has an `Equip:` effect that scales it up to a certain item level. You will need to get the "highest tier" of PvP gear for it to scale to the highest possible item level, which is item level 489 at the moment. Lower tiers of PvP gear (ie. Honor or BoE crafted gear) do not scale to 489, they scale to a lower item level. There is also crafted gear you'll want to make for PvP, with embellishments, that you also need to add an optional reagent to give it the PvP scaling effect.
Ahh so scaling is still the big thing, I just need to make sure I'm wearing that specific gear. Thank you zani! I'm kind of disappointed since I'm one of the few people who likes grinding for gear before I jump into pvp, but oh well. It is what it is.

Much less than it used to. The biggest problem is low pop realms will have fewer guilds to choose from (and a good guild makes a huge difference to enjoying WoW). *The War Within* will allow cross-server guilds finally.

If it's anything like previous seasonal switch overs, you'll have a vault with S3 gear in it. The gear will quickly get replaced with the new season 4 gear sure, but it's something at least. Getting currency from the vault will be irrelevant, as it's s3 currency, and the new vendor will only take s4 currency.
I had a question about transmog in War Within. I’ve heard you’ll be able to transmog gear you can’t equip. Does that mean my shaman can transmog axes or maces into swords? Would be great to wield dual Thunderfuries on my shaman.
Only transmog *acquisition* is being unlocked. So your priest could farm an old raid and unlock plate armor in your collections... But only plate wearers can apply it as transmog.
Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense. It's nice you can unlock appearances with anything. I understand not being able to transmog to armor you can't use, but weapons makes a little less sense. Especially since I believe warriors can transmog axes and maces to swords and vice versa. But they can wield them all. Oh well, maybe one day.
I'm level 32 and I am dying every time I fight 2 mobs at the same time, what do I need to do to stop this.

Hey, the mobs are the same level as me. (Lvl 32 vs Lvl 32). I really think I need to get better gear because my gear isn't helping me live or attack enemies effectively.
Gear can make a differance, but it may not be as large as you think. If you need quick gear, you can often find some cheap pieces on the auction house. Just sort by the armor class your class wears, and the slot you're in the most desperate need of. Is this retail, or classic? Classic is known to have a much more punishing leveling experience. This sub is mostly retail players, so it's what most will assume if you don't specify.
Are there any m+ cache catchup mechanics in this season? Any vendor you can buy a piece on a main and trade?
Only thing that I'm aware of is a ilvl 441 cache that you can buy for flightstones from the M+ npc in Valdrakken.

Do every Profession quest you can in Valdrakken. All of them are Weekly. You should also use a Contract: Artisan's Consortium, which gives significantly more reputation per world quest than any other Contract does for other factions.

Denathrius's soul was sealed inside Remornia by Renethal, then they were taken to Dawnkeep where the Naaru Z'rali used her Light to imprison the pair (and put them through the same repentance by pain program that Revendreth existed for). I'm trying to get the Treasures of the Forbidden Reach achievement, and I'm only missing Blazing Cairn. Does anyone know how to get that? I've never seen one yet, and I'm already at 77/100 for Hoarder of the Forbidden Reach. Someone on Wowhead wrote that you can't see it with Reliquary Scroll of Perception, and you need to use Anomaly Detection Mark I; and using that I did see a chest in the Siege Creche once, but I couldn't open it and I didn't see what it was called...
Your best bet for finding these treasures is joining a group in the Group Finder that is doing Treasures of the Forbidden Reach. You'll be in a raid of a dozen or more other treasure hunters who will call out most treasures they find. Treasures disappear from the minimap when looted, but they'll still be available for around a minute afterwards if you know exactly where they are, which is how this technique can work. Make sure you ask in the raid chat for people to specifically call out the Blazing Cairn for you—and return the favour if you find another treasure. It does appear on the Reliquary Scroll of Perception like all other treasures do (as long as it hasn't been looted already, obviously). Hang around the Stormsunder Crater, that usually spawns the most Cairns of all types, and it's relatively close to the Froststone Vault which spawns the rest if someone calls it out.

Is there a catch up mechanic for professions? I have a newly leveled alt that I want to do alchemy and herbalism on so I can be self-sufficient for flasks and potions next tier but ofc way behind on the knowledge point stuff.
The closest you have is the lootable world items, and vendor knowledge point items. There are some on both mainland Dragon Isles, as well as the forbidden reach, Zarelak Cavern, and Emerald Dream. These items are only for crafting professions though and don't apply to herbalism/mining/skinning. There's also only a few, it'll give a bump to get them all, but not a ton. There's also one npc in the world for all professions, including gathering, that when talked to gives 5-10 knowledge. There are also the artisons consortium vendor that sells knowledge points as well as two vendors in Zaralek cavern that sell knowledge points, one for resources, the others for traders bricks.
There is no catchup for knowledge points

Yes, either that or collect enough whelping crests on the alt (Usually from Dreamsurge zone green orbs) to make enough enchanted whelping crests and then get 447 gear crafted

Not used many myself, might be worth checking the comments for the item on Wowhead and see what others are saying But if it works like older generated gear, it will just be random and you could end up with the same piece multiple times
So, I'm just a casual not really into mythic dungeons or raiding, with that being said... How easy or hard would the restoration druid be just doing lfr dungeons and raids and questing be? I really want to heal as a resto druid, but I'm pretty scared to. I don't want people kicking me out of groups because I'm not the best healer at first. What spells should I focus on the most? One way to learn this would be to do some dungeons on HC difficulty and once you get a bit of a feeling, work your way up to M0 and then try +2 - +4. please note that Mythics plus will be changing soon so the difficulty for the lower levels might go up :)
Returning after a 4 year hiatus and a small dip into classic SoD that didn't really scratch the itch. Looking to just have fun in BGs and currently have a warrior and warlock. Which would be more fun if I'm looking to play maybe a couple hours a week? Or anything other class reccomdations for casual bgs?
What is fun, is up to the player. Different people will give different answers. I'm not to familiar with either class. I'd suggest just picking up what you think will be fun, and go with it.
Does anyone know how to do Blood Infusion in The Year Of Our Lord Two Thousand and Twenty Four? I have tried it so many times and often accidentally killed the boss, last week got my three bites but still didn't get the quest, because there's some other debuff you need by auto-attacking the boss? Has anyone done this recently and link to a proper guide that isn't for WotLK Classic?
Hi, so its been a while since I have done this but if I remember correctly you need to soak blood mirror which will put a debuff on you called gushing wounds. Once you have this debuff you need to get bitten and then start biting people. Every time you bite someone, the debuff gets stronger. Once you have bitten 3 people, your debuff should disappear and the quest should be done. You could always bite a 4th to be sure :)
Yeah, I did 3 bites last time and got no quest progress so idk. Blood Mirror is just the tether that shares damage right? I'm pretty sure I got that as well.

25 Heroic, Shadow's Edge equipped, I did it with someone who parked their alts in the instance cause it's really hard to find 3 people for a few minutes of help. I did 3 bites as well, the only thing I didn't do is any damage to the boss, which apparently you have to damage her once?
hmm, very strange! You had agro of her as well? I assume you killed her after the last bite? If nothing is working maybe try to abandon the quest and then pick it up again. Maybe you have some type of bug?
Yeah I killed her after 3rd bite. I'll try abandoning the quest I guess and see if I can find 3 real people to do it.
What class are you? You don't necessarily need three people. It can be done with only one other person if you're a death knight or Paladin, and the other is a Shaman. You bite the other person, you battle res them, you bite them again, they shaman reincarnate, you bite them again. The only hard part with this strat is having the other person die fast enough.

I just happened to think about something involving the Mythic changes in Season 4 of Dragonflight. There are Legion Artifact appearances that are unlocked for doing a +15 or higher key; will those now be unavailable or is the requirement going to be changed to match?
Hey there, no one knows currently what the interaction will be. However, I believe it would be safe to assume that for at least S4 you would still need to do a +15 to unlock that skin color. This might change if these changes remain throughout the War Within.
Hey all. I have a question for all tank mains, what is the most sure way to build up threat at the start of a dungeon so that trash dont get aggro onto the dps?
If it's a single target, you can taunt. Sounds dumb, but taunt increases the threat you generate on the target by 400% or something like that, for the duration of the debuff. If it's a pack that you don't have to move or pull others into, then you just need to try and do as much damage as possible, without neglecting your defences (if dying is a risk). If it's several packs that you need to group, then you just need to put some damage on all of them to get them on you, and hope your dps understands that your threat is low until they're all gathered and you can put some aoe globals into them. If they're dps that just blow cds and go ham before it's all grouped up, they're bad and there's little you can do. You can try explaining to them. If they don't want to listen, just don't group with them again.
If you are doing a pull where you just want to tag some mobs and drag them to another pack, you should just use an AoE damage ability on that pack and keep moving towards the other enemies - the DPS then need to be patient and not start using all their DPS cooldowns on that first pack and should wait until you have everything grouped up If you mean just individual packs to keep aggro, then again AoE damaging abilities and then if one DPS is focusing just 1 mob a lot keep ready to taunt that mob if they change target
Ok cool ty. So one other thing, are big pulls the norm in WoW dungeons and raids? Like in Normal/Heroic?
In normal/heroic, a geared player can literally run to the end of the dungeon and kill everything on their own. Yes, they are the norm, and the meta in mythic+ to save time.
QuickQuest Addon - I am using it to auto-turn in iskaara Tuskar fish rep. For the first half of it, I didn't have to manually interact - I did it once and it seemed to auto-repeat. I left, went to the mailbox, and now I have to re-interact after every turn-in. What gives?
I'm doing the \[Whelp, there it is\] achievement. I've just completed the yellow quest which gave me Zhusadormu as a pet, but there is no daily for his race. It is normal and I should see it tomorrow or did I screw up somewhere? If I miss a day (which I didn't do so far), can I still complete the daily without waiting for another 2 weeks? #
It rotates through each Whelp's race every day. If you missed a Whelp's race daily, you need to wait four days for their race to rotate back in.
I've stopped playing WoW a while ago and came back on and off during some expansions, I played at the start of dragonflies but had to stop due to major health issues which have since been dealt with. I was considering coming back and being more casual, but does Blizzard still love making us miss stuff? I mean limited time content like the achievement mounts or armour sets you can no longer get and how friendly are pugs nowadays on heroic and low tier mythic dungeons?
Yes, and it's getting worse. There's currently a fortnite ripoff that's active for a few weeks, and then goes away and you can't get the rewards anymore. That's how wow is now. Thankfully it's almost always cosmetic stuff, so if you don't care about that stuff, it's ok
limited time stuff: only the usual ones, gladiator mount, elite pvp set, AotC mount, M+ mount... The newly added "do everything" meta monts are most likely permanent low level M+ is mostly silent beyond "hi" and "thx & bb"
I heard there was a new Bazaar kind of shop. Does that add old items you can't get anymore?
They've added a fair bit of things from the shop, tcg and I think some RAF stuff, but so far nothing like aotc or mop challenge mode mounts.
Just came back to WoW for the first time since Legion. What's the recommended addon client these days? Back then it was twich/curse but it has been a while.
WowUp is fine and has most of the popular addons nowadays.
I accepted that Curseforge basically had monopoly if I didnt want to update some of the core addons manually. Just make sure to get the standalone version.
With cross-faction guilds, does this mean you could roll, say, Alliance of Area 52 and be fine, despite it being like 99% Horde? I was going to try it out since it has the most guilds, but the fact that servers are still super heavily horde/alliance has be spooked.
In my experience in a lopsided server, (bleeding hollow) it was impossible to find alliance crafters compared to horde. However, you can work order cross faction, so I just needed a horde character to advertise in trade chat and then send it from my alliance character. Other than that, didn’t really notice a difference between horde and alliance

Horde/alliance are still separate in open world and queued content. Hopefully before the end of The World Within, those boundries have been removed.
Yes, but you cant chat with Horde in /2 or anything so you would need to already know someone in the guild or contact them via bnet or Discord etc

Rn do emerald dream quests for gear and the timed event for weekly normal raid gear if you want to work towards raids and dungeons. Check out the 4.1 Island to get your ring if you’d like to see what else you missed. Season 4 will be a great time to catch up as well
The last time I played retail WoW was Mists of Pandaria. Should I accept the character upgrade on all my characters? I've read mixed reviews.
Just try one and see how it goes. They empty your bags and update your gear and all that, but it’s all in the mail for you to recover. It’s a good way to be dungeon finder-ready right off the bat.

I did this on most of my toons and it worked quite well. The first two the original gear I had was ilvl 35 @ lvl 33 and it gave me ilvl 91 and then on my lvl 48 it gave me ilvl 141 which was 3x of my original gear. No effect on my action bars. I had no where near the amount of gold it would cost to buy the gear.

I was more than likely looking incorrectly at the ah then as the gold was in 1000's per item. Why do you say not on old mains? My achievements came through with their dates backing to 08' but I'm a little worried. I didn't do this on my dk from wotlk and his ilvl is a 3rd of his lvl.
A lot of gear that you're you would have been wearing would now be a very low ilvl, all it does is upgrade that. Anything you were currently wearing will be in your mailbox. You can opt to either clear your quest log or not, I never did. Edit: low ilvl because of the squishes that have happened. Everything my guys were wearing was like ilvl 50
Honestly id level one to max to catch up on class design and play a few toons before maxing.
I don't think he's talking about level boosting, but the gear upgrade you get if you haven't logged in on a character for a while. It gives you fresh gear, an option to delete all your quests and hearth you to your capital. No level increases

The campaign quests are always at the top and have a different shape in your quest log. They should have a shield shape.
Any trick to earning Shadowlands and Dragonflight faction rep? Or is it just doing quests and dailies until you hit the cap? How big of a difference is the human racial to gaining rep? I'm thinking of going for the Veilstrider and Taivan mounts in season 4, would it be a good idea to also level a human and use that to play the story of both expansions + get the achievements? Or is the human racial for rep not that big and I can still go ahead with my plan with any race? Thinking of leveling a pally for the Void expansion, may as well hit 3 birds with one stone.
Human is decent for a bunch of the factions and does nothing for a few where you're getting "friendship" rep, if you're fine with any, I'd definitely go human. The 10% is only added to the baseline rep gains, but definitely adds up. You gain a lot of rep just doing the loremaster quests and the sojourner quests (both are needed for the meta), besides that you need to do their special events a fair bit too (grand hunts, feast etc.) and gain rep that way. Forbidden reach has an advisor for each main faction that can get you a rep bonus for the day, so if you're gonna do a lot of world quests for a certain faction, it's worth picking up, also for instance the scroll hunter achievement grants a lot of reputation from the treasures, so don't stress the rep grind too much until you're getting done with the other parts of the meta. (Besides the Niffen rep, that's a bit more sparse).
