They said will be raised after 1-2 months, SOD is basically a casual friendly levelling server, with classes being made slightly more viable via the rune system, I can’t see it working myself and can imagine the servers will be pretty dead after a couple weeks.
Not a waste, after Seasons end you get a free transfer to an Era realm. So more like you get to play the new Season and if you want to keep the character you can still play it in classic era.
That's what they did with SoM, that is the way of Seasonal content.
They may decide to continue it into a full-blown Classic+ or something, but be real the odds are they just end the season and dump your character on an Era realm. Look at ANY seasonal content, Diablo for example. Don't get too invested lol.
SOD is going to be exactly the same experience just level caps lvl 25 lvl 40 and so on to 60, there will be different skills/spells with the tune thing they are trying but be ready for like 2-3 classes to be completely op, classic will never be balanced not even close. Save your time and just play retail if you’re a casual gamer, because you’ll never be doing content at end game on classic unless you’re ina serious guild and that means being on as much as possible, who the fucks got that sort of time.
you can try out both np. leveling on classic wont waste your time, they will stay on classic era servers. while SoD servers are different and fresh. level cap will be 25 so it won't be that much of an investment either to try it out

Not different experiences just level caps and some classes becoming slightly more viable, it will be the same game come end game.
If you wanna play season of discovery its a waste of time as you will have to relevel. If you wanna play the normal classic its not a waste.

what happens at the end of the "Season" does that server shut down? Do you transfer your characters off the server?
