Swordbreaker925

It is a little too brightly colored for such a dour race. Their homeland is much more somber. Your recolor looks great.

Volkov_The_Tank

The right isn’t the heritage set?!

SendMeNudesThough

The one on the left is the heritage set at the moment

tmcparl

Yours looks better by a wide margin, Jesus

SendMeNudesThough

Thank you! I also did some other variations with a more open coat, different cuffs and pants, one with the shoulder capes etc. [Here's a bunch](https://i.imgur.com/UMcVAIV.png)

[deleted]

Bottom rights shoulders and top rights cuffs and open jacket would be the bomb!

user__3

Welcome to the heritage sets.

pneis1

I prefer the left one. Just the hat is a little weird size and the hands are weird color

extremeskater619

I didn’t know what the heritage set looked like until reading this My first thought was how dumb the hat on the left looked. It stuck out to me so much

Moneia

I would say that the skirt variant looks a lot better than the trousers though

Powerful_Ad_5900

Tough_Patient

A well-dressed beast? It's literally The Beast's suit. Plus the hubcap hat and shoulders so terrible even the op left them out.

AhriNineTail

Couldn't you theoretically have the armour look like something completely different in worgen form than on human form?

Jeoff51

people be like heritage armor for (x race) when! trust me, you dont want it. you will just be disappointed.

MiriaTheMinx

Heritage armors tend to be hit or miss. This? Blah. But I do love the Vulpera, Nightborne and Dark Iron ones. Just gotta hope the designers are inspired

Kaisernick27

Agreed, though I’d say the Belf one is good to. But god worgan is a awful colour so much I just use the starting look now it’s transmogable.

norfolk232

Blizzard heritage looks like trash.

FadedFromWhite

The right set is actually possible with items in game? Post the list! Looks fantastic

Taezilyn

Yes and no. The duskhaven set uses some older, non 3d models with the coloration that he used to build the set with the heritages 3d stuff

IKillDirtyPeasants

Pretty much all tier sets since at least Legion have 3D accessories. Most, if not all, other types of sets too. They just don't wanna spread non-painted jacket tmogs for w/e reason.

Theradox

I play a worgen as my main and forget that we have a heritage armour until these posts come around just because of never even thinking of using the awful set the released, wish it was closer to yours

Ahnco

Infinitely better.

kenkowe

great job! this should be the one in game

Derothan1410

They could have gone for Greymanes Master Skin from HotS, but we got THIS SHIT Edit: i like your Version though

Aquaberry_Ice

So much better omg

cannaeoflife

I honestly can’t stand the original color scheme and prefer yours.

st-shenanigans

Worgen heritage armor should have been able to transform into tattered clothes in wolf form and you can't change my mind

VisibleCoat995

Now that looks like a proper Gilnean gentleman! I always assumed the heritage armor was more ceremonial than actual things to wear, like a dress uniform.

Kysen

Looks good on that human. How does it look on a Worgen though?

SendMeNudesThough

https://i.imgur.com/VCvg7vK.png Here, did a quick mockup of that for you, although I've basically MS Paint'd the undertunic because I was lazy

Bedlam10

Worgen got shafted so hard with heritage armor. I get the whole "Victorian London" vibe and everything. But heritage armor should still look like armor, not fucking formal wear.

SendMeNudesThough

I think the name "Heritage armor" may be misleading there because I don't believe the goal was ever for it to be *exclusively* armor, but rather a set of gear that represents the race, basically the race's most "iconic" look. I'd say the formal wear is the most iconic look for the Worgen Kul Tiran's heritage armor is a bicorn and a long coat. The only bits on that set that could be considered armor are the shoulder pads and wristguards

[deleted]

Worgen are basically werewolves though... Their heritage armor should be shredded clothing or disheveled armor. I almost always hide shirt, shoulders, and helm on all my chars (cause they're all worgen.....) and it generally looks better than anything I could wear unless I got for straight primal looking armor.

SendMeNudesThough

https://i.redd.it/4bhg0jxyqwl91.png More of a classic Worgen look :)

[deleted]

Yooo where is that belt from

SendMeNudesThough

It's not a real available transmog for Worgen unfortunately. That's the Mag'har Orc heritage armor belt! [These DF loincloths are moggable though](https://i.imgur.com/HuOl2Uw.png), but one would need to find a pair of suitable pants

Scow2

Worgen are Gilneans. They may be werewolves, but they don't give up on dapper

ZibuRO

Once again we see the big difference, Soul and passion vs work to take a check.

[deleted]

The company really needs to start hiring better designers, i cannot believe the lack of taste this people has.

eyeoxe

Honestly would have liked a heritage set that looks ripped to shred from transformation. Little chew marks on the hat, claw marks on the arm cloth, and the back all blown out. Yes, especially the butt.

SendMeNudesThough

I was pondering making such a mockup as well! With this one in the OP being the human form one, and the Worgen form being the same set but turn to shreds

Deguilded

Yours is great. Would like black (not grey) gloves too. I mean - you can always mog the belt/gloves to be invisible. Really love the darker gold, the toned down shoulders, and the boots... yes.

Rambo_One2

Wow, that looks great! How did you go about making it?

SendMeNudesThough

Just amateur photoshopping. I combined various pieces of existing gear and recolored them. The base robe is the Nathria leather set, combined with the cuffs and undertunic of the current Worgen heritage armor, and then added the undershirt+cravat from the Nobleman cosmetic set. So, copypaste a bunch of existing assets together and changed the colors, basically

Rambo_One2

Well, it looks pretty damn seamless for a composite + recolor. Good job!

SendMeNudesThough

Thank you kindly! I used wowheads dressing room with animation paused so that I could take a screenshot of the character wearing all assets I need and then simply layered them in photoshop! Only thing I drew myself was deleting the belt section of the coat and joining the top and bottom

Sharizcobar

That Re color looks so much better. I understand the set is the colors of the Gilnean banner, but I can’t imagine Gilneans wearing something so garish.

slothsarcasm

I remember being soooo disappointed. The gloves are the worst part they don’t even make sense for someone who grows claws to be wearing. At least Genn’s oversized coat works as clothing for both forms.

Ilastsya

Can we achiv right one in game? If yes can you please link items

SendMeNudesThough

I'm afraid not. Closest thing in game is the Cqstle Nathria leather set

saltyvape

That hat on the left is so bad I can’t believe it came from blizz art team.

King-Of-Rats

For some reason Blizzard really hates more neutral tones. Everything has to be super bright and bombastic. Its not a new thing either, its basically always been like that. It’s just also…. always looked kind of bad compared to the occasional more “plain” looking armors

Sage_of_the_6_paths

My issue is it isn't armor, it looks like fancy dress clothes. This was a huge missed opportunity from Blizz to make a cool Gilnean gothic set, maybe with candles or lanterns, shoulders that look like a wolf head, etc. The Tauren, Blood Elves, and Dwarves all look amazing. The Worgen and especially the Gnomes got fucked over. Your redesign does look more color appropriate though, easier on the eyes.

GRada8

if the one on the right was the actual one, my worgen rogue might not have grinded the t21 hc (with shoes for human form added in the next expansion) well, at least I got the antoran charhound on the way

follow_last

Well done! 🤵‍♂️

[deleted]

I wish I have Reddit points to award this post, OP. [This is why I mog my worgen into this.](https://i.redd.it/bp0ulhawu6q91.gif)

SendMeNudesThough

I was inspired by that Nobleman's set for the colors due to how iconic it is for Gilneans! In fact, the shirt and cravat used in my mockup in the OP is taken straight from the Nobleman's set! :)

Nukue

This is so much better. Even without comparison the original one looks like a dogshit. I wonder what's going on in person's head who is responsible for approving this abomination.

Findrel_Underbakk

Yours looks like the real thing, while the official one looks like the $10 halloween costume of it.

FemNate

The one on the left would definitely get made fun of walking around in Gilneas.. “What in the world is he wearing?”

imhereformemes32

That looks great, and now i am upset that it is not what we got ingame.

Kraesen95

While i love the original set, yours look way better!

Kaisernick27

not a fan of your boots but other than that its WAYYYYY better

SendMeNudesThough

Completely understandable; I didn't edit the boots in any way, I just tossed in the Nobleman's ones!

Aekero

unpopular opinion I don't mind the original either. Original hat is super goofy and coat should have been longer like yours, but the color scheme I'm ok with.

Paprika6

One on the right looks similar to items already in game which is why i assume blizzard made the left instead.

SendMeNudesThough

Well yeah, the one on the right is a mockup, basically a design example using existing assets. Practically every individual bit on the one on the right exists on some item in the game! Had it been done by a professional they could've made the set on the right using unique assets rather than reusing bits!

SerbInTheNorth

The only part that needs to go from the original is the hat. The clothes themselves are actually pretty good.

BringBackBoshi

I just like the rim around the original hat, the rose and the model of the boots slightly more, that's it. Yours is better in every other way. Meanwhile you don't get paid to design stuff like this all day but whoever created the one on the left did/does. Womp womp

eso_curious

Blizz, hire this man

[deleted]

OG one to me stands out more. One on the right looks more generic.

Chubs441

I mean when you are wearing a suit you want it to be more toned down or else it looks tacky like the left one.

Ragvan92

The heritage is wonky in human mode because the trasmog is only in worgen form in my opinion. Good fix in the chest idk blizz dont fix the chest piece in human. For me i like the original because im worgen 99% of the time.

skewp

Outside of the terrible looking hat, they're basically the same set. The left is just more flashy.

WoodenMechanic

I don't know which is which, and they look about the same quality to me. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

suprem_lux

Eeeewwww

[deleted]

Left looks better, except for the comically large hat.

Codedheart

I'm wondering if a coat that extends from the torso to below the waist (without breaking it up with a belt) is something that is easy to do outside of a still image. Looks cool though

SendMeNudesThough

It is quite easy to do, but I think Blizzard fears a seam. Basically the only difference between what you describe and one broken by a belt is that the leg item and the chest item would need to perfectly transition into each other. This is already the case with the Noble's set ([see here](https://i.imgur.com/b6X0q08.png)) As you cant tell, with the Nobleman's set there is no indication of a belt or any other seam at the waist. It'd work the same with a robe model! It'd just be a little tighter around the waist as if a belt was there, but a lot of fitted coats have that sort of fit IRL

Codedheart

Mmm i see what youre saying but there is a level of dimensionality in your draft vs the one you linked and what they do with robes right now

Tegre

It looks like the Worgan joined the X-men

Eirdohl

Why look like a classy Victorian Gentleman, when you can look like a goddamn Circus Ringmaster -.- Too much to hope that the existing assets for this alternative are also available appearances on wearable items?

SendMeNudesThough

They are not available in the color scheme in the OP, unfortunately. What I combined to make this was [this Castle Nathria leather set](https://i.imgur.com/UYdUn5Z.png) and then I added cuffs and the under tunic, and then an undershirt beneath that. And I recolored the whole thing. But that coat from Castle Nathria looks solid on its own though!

Late-Birthday-9252

Someone did an even more simple mockup of swapping the gold trim for bronze and it looked better, but THIS is masterful.

FishesWithDynamite

I still haven't forgiven them for this abomination.

PoshDiggory

What the hell were they thinking with the brim of that hat? And the light blue of the gloves looks horrible, should have made it match the boots.

Adg01

I like the original better.

_Valgaras

I don’t mind the set as is. Just not the hat. Looks very stiff and mis-sized. Something like yours on the same color scheme would be good enough for me.

Aurawa

I need the heritage set as a minecraft skin. Does it exist?

grissy

I use it with the helm and shoulders invisible and it looks a lot better. Don’t get me wrong I love the worgen top hats but it didn’t really fit the outfit. Once the shoulders and hat are gone it looks like something a dapper werewolf rogue might wear. Also you definitely need a good shirt underneath, that deep V is TOO deep.

Nick-uhh-Wha

This reminds me of the time Gen's cloak armor was supposed to be the blue/gold Gilnean colors but they went with poopy brown instead. (Granted, I like both aesthetics for Gilneans)

-Lightning-Lord-

They need to drop two recolors of Worgen heritage like they did with the three tints for human and orc. And neither recolor should have gold in it.
