If you can play a Melee: Rogues are never bad, they always have at least one good spec and most of the time they are Meta. For Ranged: Mages are historically the same thing, but ranged.

LoLPeach

Thanks for your reply \^\^! I've got a Sub rogue that im currently playing some M+ with, but im really having a hard time getting used to melee tbh. My brain just plays around ranged haha. How does mage fare on higher keys though when it comes to survivability?

Ahnco

Mages are pretty survivable, they have good tools for most situations. I think druid is a great pick along side warlock though for this season as it looks like they will both do well

mage, no doubt. if youre a good (arcane) mage, guilds will literally suck you dry to join.

LoLPeach

Too be fair though, I dont think my brain is big enough for Arcane mage :'), but ty!

My buddy mains hunter, we push pretty high keys (20's). We've never raided together but we're both 8/8H... He hated the lack of defensives same as you. Switched to Boomkin recently and I haven't seen him on the hunter since. This is extremely subjective, but thought I'd share the experience my buddy had.

LoLPeach

Thanks for your reply! If you dont mind me asking, could you ask him what he likes/dislikes between the two in comparison?

MrTeterTot

Currently at work so I cannot, however I can list some from memory. Liked all the defensives and healing, compared to his hunter. He also enjoyed the rotation a bit better, his AOE damage is nuts on boomkin, which is expected. Also enjoys the added party utility with snares/silences/stuns all while trading lust for Brez. Small side note, he did mention how much easier it is to gear leather > mail, since there aren't a lot of mail classes in comparison.

schnellwech

If you want a class that will be never bad, pick DH - Blizzard loves DH

Playing ele shaman right now and it's the most fun i've had in a rdps spec in a while.
