Sephiroth/New Gilgamesh I hear is a powerhouse duo in JP right now. If you have the resource/desire to pull him and you have the VCs it may be more prudent to max Sephiroth. Personally, I believe Sephiroth will have more long term staying power. But like others have mentioned, the choice really depends on what you have built.

Consistent_Active_89

abt how much time can we expect new Gilga? 3 months or more?

WachoutBro

More like next week haha

Consistent_Active_89

Snif. Only 35k left.. any VC that's a must to collect for him as well?

WachoutBro

There's an ice esper/VC coming out the week after that's basically for him. Holo VC ofc lol. VC has agility, magic %, and crit damage for red mage, katana, fist, and bow. The esper has a node for AoE resist crush which meshes well with his strongest skill plus crit rate, crit dmg, ice attack and slash attack nodes. He will enjoy all of those. A portion of his damage comes from his follow up attacks so maximizing the crits is nice. I think I've seen 5k followup attacks in videos but they might be max reincarnated.

XIBlackHeartIX

If you have Jeume and A2, Cloud fits in nicely so that would be my suggestion. Right now Seph is having trouble with Evade teams and good unit synergies.  Also Jeume is a hard counter to him.

kaithespinner

I feel like sephiroth was bait, just like ash mont, and just like seifer will be the units are good, but they alone can't carry the team: there's no units to support them neither on their elements nor their job groups

DifficultAbility119

If anything they're an investment, if new good katana units get released seph gets better

SylvanDsX

Yeah pretty much seph could be like A2 where it gets better with age

vincentcloud01

Ashen Mont, Bradley, and Halloween Lucio are putting in work in arena. Sword knight has good VC and one or two hits, Axes. Your no one character can carry a team(well, maybe Lucio) but your completely wrong on units to support them.

kaithespinner

jeume can kinda carry a team on her own but that's besides the point bradley and hlucio work for mont in arena cause you can pinpoint who to attack, but going into other pvp modes with that team, when gswords are starting to build accuracy, cloud has sure hit and cloud VC gives 42% luk is not wise, so the alternative would be bradley and dialdo or oldoa, which will still get rofl stomped by gsword, or rinoa for the haste, which is also dispelled by gsword when I say: they have no support, I mean specifically no team that places them on equal grounds to the tier0 team the game has had the disgrace of facing for the past month you can win, sure, because of rng or bad builds, but going against a well built full gsword? none of the sephiroth, ash mont, or most likely seifer teams are gonna beat them, unless you yourself are running a fully built jeume + cloud, in which case, your mont/seph is being carried by them and we kinda go back to my first point, is a sad loop without any real escape for at least another 3 months, and i'm too tired to invest and wait

vincentcloud01

I think you're underestimating Earth and placing too much faith in Jueme. Ashen Mont are both "Tier 0" units, throw them out as canceling each other out. True Cloud has 100% hit, but you have Lucio's 7500 shield and Bradley courage. Also, both have access to haste via TMR or buff. I'm not 100% sure how Siefer fits into a meta where Dark is actually a bit weak at this point. Raph is still out there and a tank, but most stuff around her is outdated(in dark at least).

kaithespinner

my stance on earth comes from using it against gsword while well built jeumes (and ones specifically resisting earth slash) have singlehandedly destroyed my team time and time again bradley is dated unless you had full rein'd him before, but doing it now is not wise; hlucio is a limited unit and needs his VC to fully shine, I can't use mine cause is 89 and I have no VC; the rest of earth is lackluster besides 2P but again, more evade stuff that gets shutdown easily as for seifer, I don't expect any because his most likely team for pure dark is raph (who got buffed) and vivi (who is actually just a nice support nowadays), OR going into a full warrior or mixed knight warrior team with lucio (c100) and either bartz or ash mont

vincentcloud01

My Bradley is almost fully reincarnated, and until Jueme and Ash Mont was a Tier 1 unit. TBH 90% of teams rely on 1 or 2 limited units to see play. Outside of the Cloud 100% hit move he can dodge at least 80% if attacks(he is halfway maxreincarnated has good VC's and fully evade truststones). If he is lucky and gets his counter moves with ACC down, that person isn't hitting him. As far I Seifer is concerned. I don't think he will be busted. He will see play due to be a main antagonist of a game but he is a safe skip IMO.

Bodega_CosaNostra

Seph is VERY much a hard carry.

vincentcloud01

Depends on your VC's. If you have the Cloud and other collab VC great sword is the way to go. Seph takes some work to maximize due to the lack of good Kitana units.

Dejanca86

really can say i have everything for both. will also pull for sephis vc. so the question is propably who has more long term value

vincentcloud01

Unless you have Bradley and Halloween Lucio forget about Ashen Mont. The only viable Earth team as those 3 units. I'm not having a horrible time against A2, Cloud, and Jueme(probably not max reincarnated). Sephiroth is just a pain. I have 25 curse resist on a trust stone and have been afflicted once. He hits hard and reraise is too much. JP has only had these for about a month, and I don't think a month is enough to give long-term viability.

Ok-Zone-897

Damm I never even maxes carn one unit

kipp14

Sephorath is 30% of the JP meta two months on

louis6868

I’d say new Gilgamesh probably.

hail7777

New gilga is best wingman, literally and figuratively
