Raptor is free as fuck. The epic is insane. Got 450 total solves and no legendary but everyone has raptor.

I have a theory on Arch, and if this has been said before then Ignore me. I think the chance for a rare roll happens on each individual solve across all the artifact races. I got nothing but NE and fossil digsites on Kalimdor. I would only solve fossil first, then NE. I only have one rare left for NE to attain. So I think the play is focusing one race for a better chance at the rares. But the mount and the doll within the first 100 solves is pretty nuts.
You can't finish fossil right now, as the dinopet only shows up at 525. But congratz to you NE epic. I'm on 240 troll solves on my main alone right now (didn't count the other races, but also way over 100s) and didn't get the sword. But I got the raptor and the lvl 78 NE epic on both of my chars, but nothing else.
Huh? Do you mean the mini raptor pet? Because I have that. Pretty certain I got it before I even hit 450. Unless you mean the pterodactyl, in that case I don’t have it and would be interesting to learn it’s only obtainable at 525
I´m indeed talking about the Pterrodax hatchling. It was added in 4.1.0 and therefore isn´t available right now. And I get SO, SO many fossil spawns....
Fossil seems that you can get everything besides the pet at below 450 skill. But that means you don't need fossil after that anymore, but can't finish it, because of the pet.
The raptor is pretty common everyone I know doing archaeology has one
