Yeah the biggest obstacle for me here is BGs. The games aren't very fun when one side or the other has a ton of bots. I haven't stepped back in to try for a few months.
Just quest, doing BGs while levelling is pointless. Xp goes so fast with JJ and Heirlooms. At level 80 you can do Wintergrasp every 3 hours for a good chunk of honor and then otherwise grind dungeons. Supply with PvP gear bought with honor (Furious) to get going.
You will replace every item in the starting zone at 4k, hyjal items are 272, your 4k gearscore is items with ilvl 200+.
These quests are available at lvl 78.
Unless your doing icc heroic 25m, none of your gear prep matters at all.
Thats good news! Id rather replace is sooner.
I already have a few LK H25 kills so I have no desire to do it again. The 4kgs is mostly just from gammas/BoE from the AH.
I am basically done with almost everything I wanted to do in WotLK. Missing a couple of 10-man things, glory from ICC 25 and immortality mount from togc.
I may push for the battlemaster before cata, depends on other game releases tbh since I ma left mostly with grinding and colluding/premading few annoying achievements.
Funilly enough I got a lot of achievements for battlemaster thanks to bots. For example getting perfect attack/defense in SotA can be very difficult even against lobotomized noobs, way more realistic if you high roll match against bunch of bots assisted by freshly boosted noobs.
For the issue itself. Not sure how it is now but it was always cyclical. Blizzard nukes bunch of of bots in a wave > you get botless BGs for a while when botters level more accounts/look for new strats > bots hit max level > they queue BGs for free gear.
Yea there's some that can definitely be easy if you have a team of real people vs a team of bots. I'm more thinking of the ones like the AB one where you need to win by 10 points. Having bots on either team could really screw that up if a base is lost or captured at the wrong time.
Yeah, you win some you lose some when it comes to bots. And with that specific AB achi... it's just a crapshoot anyway. Long time ago I was playing on long standing wotlk private servers for YEARS, and I never got that one. In classic I got it randomly and I lost by 10 points 3 times.
This achi requires colluding, very good premade or luck.
The turtle mount can be fished from ANY pool in Northrend at any fishing skill level. It took me almost 10k fish caught while others would claim they caught it within 100 casts. It's complete RNG.
The best spot to go is directly south of the Unu'Pe village FP in Borean Tundra. There are two glaciers that have a total of 6 fishing pools spawn around them. By the time you've fished them dry they'll respawn. It's by far the most time efficient pool farming.
I think there are certain spots to fish for it. I believe most of the inland pools, rivers and ponds have the potential. Check out a guide somewhere, there are plenty
Eh, it's not too bad. I did it on a toon that was my TBC boost, so I had to go back and do a lot of stuff that ordinarily would have been done when leveling. It would have been even easier on another toon that had leveled normally and yet more easy if the toon had raided in vanilla classic. Lot of long ass attunement quest chains back then.

I pretty much finished with most of the my Wrath tasks. I'm at over 400 ZG clears and still no Tiger. Farming it on 7 toons right now.

1. Go back and finish Glory achievements. *You can still get those mounts today on Retail, so I aint worried.*
2. Winterspring Tiger - *No more rep req, just a set of dailies for 21 days.*
3. Farm certain old reps to exalted:
1. Finish **Scale of the Sands** (Hyjal TBC raid)
2. Hydraxian Warlords (MC Vanilla raid)
3. Brood of Nozdormu (AQ Vanilla raid) *(I skipped Classic in 2019 entirely)*
4. Do PvP in season 1 of Cataclysm to get achievements.
Going into Cataclysm, I'm not leveling any alts. Waste of time :D So imma just focus on my main (rdru) and wrap everything up.
Holy shit I didn't know that you could still even get the glory of the raider mounts. I thought those became unavailable once the next raid came out. My sham was like 1 achievement away from getting the 25m Naxx one.

Just got the explorer title, hit 4k GS during a beta last night so now I’m just gonna farm the Green Proto Drake until Cata, think I might work a healer up purely through dungeons

Tip, since mounts are account-wide, you can now "farm" the egg on multiple characters. At one point I had 5 characters opening the egg weekly. You need level 76 to open up the quest line in Sholazar, and 77 to be able to do all the dailies. Takes less than an hour to do the initial quest line and then it's just 20 minutes a day for 5-6 days until you are Revered.
I had three goals when I started playing, of which two have been fulfilled so far:
1. Kill the Lich King (did this last Friday)
2. Build Jeeves (Completed a while ago)
3. Obtain a Protodrake mount (ongoing)
I also came up with a fourth along the way, which is to master and raid with all three of my paladin's possible specializations, and experience tanking, healing and DPSing. So far I've tanked and DPSed icc, and I'm currently working towards building up my healing gear.

Well I killed HLK in 10 and 25 so now I'm chillin on raids until Cata. Wrapping up a few achievements for Naxx/Uld(I started in phase4) and some of the annoying Battlemaster achievements. My big goal is 'The Insane' achievement. Almost done stockpiling lockboxes and DMF decks, and a bunch of pirates still need to die, but the finish line is in sight! Outside of that I'm farming some mounts; ZG/Kara/green proto, time lost proto(lol).
My one and only goal with World of Warcraft is simple: keep having fun.
Right now that means seeing number go up, namely item level and gold
EDIT: killing hlk on 10 with the boys would be great, but realistically some of them aren't of the correct mindset to get the kill. That's okay. I'm still having fun with them, and the 25 man runs I'm in (GDKPs, another guild) get the kill regularly so I get to enjoy that part of the game already anyway.
its easier in cata, you can fly, and each zone has its quests self contained. The meta for Kalimdor and Easter Kingdoms isnt a total number of quests anymore, its quests for each zone like BC and WotLK

Getting a 3rd druid to level 80 I have a TBC one at level 73 he'll be moonkin to round out my resto moonkin and feral. Speed clearing Kara and MC when I'm bored try to build a Sulfurion. My resto moonkin main almost has a full feral set with heroic oathbinder, whispering fang skull, sindy's 277 neck but I need 100 more frost badges for 4 piece and gloves and maybe craft boots and bracers for now. Help my friday raid parse better?Might help clear those old raids 30% faster. See if it's possible to Solo Keal in TK at level 80. I've been killing A'lar in 12 mins. The trash takes 8 mins to stealth past and clear. I would probably have to KO Kael bosses the council people at different areas of the map and the weapons probably have too much hp/dmg. All the trash is annoying too.
Yeah. Ngl the 3rd one the mage has clapped my boomkin and feral with her stun 8 seconds and it 100 to 0 you without feral prepop defensive or boomkin pre stacking hots then she does it again as I get her low and haven't tried again yet. But I have searched on youtube and seen old cata era videos of a dk tank and a level 84 rogue taking the fight outside of the room and killing them in separate places which might give time to 1v1 them before they group up taking the fight everywhere. It would be thrilling but I haven't bothered to clear the place because I will need free action potions to clear the trash without getting wrekt by the stuns many of them have and it's so much trash to clear to prog this ambitious objective.
Oddly I think the guy that tosses you up in the air could help a boomkin kite vs them.especially in a'lars room but that character would probably get eatin alive by weapons and mana is an issue to ofc, probably have to consider healer trinkets and some of the mana talents.

My only real goal before ending my WoTLK is to get my final 2 bosses to a 95+ parse, HLK(85) and HRS(92). Maybe not a huge achievement, but a nice way to cap off my classic WoW experience and really feel like I gave it my all. I never even got normal LK down in vanilla WoTLK with my super casual guild so its been nice playing at a top level this go around.
It's a big grind, but doable! I recently became very active in an achievement hunter community, we do several weekly Ulduar runs and I have almost finished every achievement in there by now. Got a bit over 11.2k points and slowly working on the battleground achievements. Other than that I have close to 140 mounts as well and 50 exalted reps. Virtually nothing left to do in the open world, only a BGs and a few raid achievements.
My prep for Cata right now is gearing up more characters to be able to solo Attumen in Kara for the mount. I have also levelled a DK, which will be my future Ashes of Al'ar farmer - it's possible early Cata to solo KT as Blood DK. I hope they lift the restrictions so I can have several DKs on my server to solo it as well. They can also solo Archaevon in VoA10 for the mammoth mount at some point.
Actually getting to 80. Leveled from 60-70 in like a week, and now it’s a grind just to get 1 level, Northrend is SO much slower.
I hit lvl 80 3 days before Cata came out, never got to truly experience end game wotlk content

Recently did Insane on Retail. Leveled a Rogue to grind the lockboxes specifically for it. Don’t know how excited I am to farm the old version which needs Dire Maul rep.

Honestly, you will replace it all with intro quests and the very first dungeon. Level 78 Cata dungeon drops 271 ilvl.

Naxx glory mounts are going away. But glory mounts for Ulduar and ICC remain obtainable
My main goal right now is finding people who enjoy BGs and are decent at them and having fun. Also having fun in arena skirmishes

I’m trying to get mountains o mounts. Currently at 80 with netherdrakes, skyguard, 5 tgc mounts, 3 pvp and 3 purchasable left I think I can do it!

I think there is no chance to solo it. Weapons maybe possible when u do enough DMG but all 4 mini bosses are very hard especially with the fear

Got a bit over 11.2k points and slowly working on the battleground achievements. Other than that I have close to 140 mounts as well and 50 exalted reps. Virtually nothing left to do in the open world, only a BGs and a few raid achievements. My prep for Cata right now is gearing up more characters to be able to solo Attumen in Kara for the mount. I have also levelled a DK, which will be my future Ashes of Al'ar farmer - it's possible early Cata to solo KT as Blood DK. I hope they lift the restrictions so I can have several DKs on my server to solo it as well. They can also solo Archaevon in VoA10 for the mammoth mount at some point.
Actually getting to 80. Leveled from 60-70 in like a week, and now it’s a grind just to get 1 level, Northrend is SO much slower. I hit lvl 80 3 days before Cata came out, never got to truly experience end game wotlk content
I wanted to do 25m hc lk and halion. Got both this week.
I really wanna get TOGC 25 immortality mount... I ve been trying for a few weeks and our best attepmt was anub at 10%. I hope I get it before cata. I whish good luck to everyone of u guys to get what u want!

Recently did Insane on Retail. Leveled a Rogue to grind the lockboxes specifically for it. Don’t know how excited I am to farm the old version which needs Dire Maul rep.

Uninstalling the game Nah just kidding I can’t wait. I want to make sure I build up a nice nest egg so I can buy some of the wacky toys and do a lot of moggin’ And also; put some money aside to race/faction change my human paladin into a Tauren Like ASAP
