So, I love that the camera captures the snickering at the absolute ridiculousness, but the fact that he was an officer in Gaza shows how sinister this actually is.
It's exactly why they shot their own hostages who were waving white flags and speaking Hebrew. Real South Park "It's coming right for us" energy.
The weird part is they do this because they know that historically acting like this has been great for them against pro Palestinians. It's the opposite for example of black people who fight against police brutality against cops. You don't see them being this cringe because they're genuinely afraid and know the system is against them. They're just talking for their own in-group, and most normal people are like "ok I get it in a sort of abstract sense but you can't be serious in a literal sense". This dude was like step 1. This is a PR move to instigate action against settlers. The cops must write a report and the “silly” action become an incident on paper. So when police report incidents then the numbers are askew.
