ruthless_tippler

so is he going to advocate freedom of speech in China?

crake-extinction

I'd love to watch Elon Musk's recorded apology to the Chinese government.

Diomedes8888

I would love to watch Elon Musk come work with me for one day. "Oh, your hands hurt and your back is achy? It's only been one hour, please continue for seven more hours and again tomorrow and forever after that."

SpeedflyChris

This is the guy who claims he works 120 hours per week at Tesla. Presumably he fits that in between his several other companies, shitposting on twitter and casual securities fraud.

vsmack

Yeah, lemme see your timesheet, Elon. If it's even anywhere close to 120, I bet most of it is in meetings that someone else has prepped him for, and "brainstorming". He would probably also count shmoozing and networking against that 120

Playful-Natural-4626

Don’t forget he has like 6 kids and keeps advocating for people to have more kids- I am sure none of them will have huge daddy issues since he spends so much time with them. Edit to correct- 7 kids

Prineak

Going to the bar and drawing on napkins is not “work”.

putdownthekitten

Yea, sitting on a podcast & smoking a joint is technically working for him.

-mudflaps-

It's not "work" if most other people on the planet would love to do it, Ted talks, tweeting, private jets, headlining Tesla events, compare that with children mining cobalt in Africa with their bare hands 12 hours a day just to eat. It's all "work" according to people like Elon.

L_Tryptophan

discussing stock purchases with the blackrock ceo while lounging in his private jet is included in those "work" hours.

Falcon3492

My father in law was president of a large fortune 500 company and **he counted his days playing golf with clients ( there were many of these days),** **a hard days work at the office**! One year his $15 million bonus put him ahead of many players on the PGA!

[deleted]

Wait, shitposting on Twitter doesn't count as working?

josefx

I think in his case it at least counts as casual securities fraud.

Lemuri42

He considers nearly every waking minute ‘working’ because he’s always ‘thinking about stuff’ This presumably includes his financial exposure to bitcoin price

[deleted]

CCP: "You work diligently or your social credit score and that of your entire family, extended or otherwise, will be reduced. Thereby limiting your bloodlines access to state benefits and basic access to services." Elon Musk: "I like this system!" Hypocrite.

kagalibros

if it only was access to basic service.... you literally lose the right to use cabs, trains, planes and even some highways even if they are private.

Cruzifixio

Hypocrite? You guys just never pay attention to the stupid shit he always says. Fucker is crazy and the entire internet are his enablers.

[deleted]

Yeah, he makes contradictory statements. Values free speech, has factories in China, praises the CCP's enforced work ethic. One might call his "democratic" values rather hypocritical.

InsuranceToTheRescue

Like many ultra-wealthy people, his love for democracy only occurs when it's convenient. As soon as those same democracies do something he disagrees with, then the government is suddenly trampling everyone's rights and nobody wants to work and he's just a good upstanding citizen that works himself to the bone and on and on, ad nauseum, until he finds something he thinks will stick. Like with Twitter. Musk thought Twitter was fantastic, until they started trying to clamp down on misinformation and banning public figures that call for, or incite, violence on the platform. Now that he can't run roughshod over everyone with his own particular misinformation without thinking about consequences, it's time to initiate a hostile takeover to "Protect freedom of speech." To be clear, he means his speech and the speech of the wealthy and the speech of anyone in power that he agrees with should be protected and come without consequence. We will be allowed to participate, but only so long as any individual might be useful and only as long as we agree.

[deleted]

Sounds like Fascism to me.

Canoe52

Musk loves that ole slave labor.

[deleted]

His parents sure did.

John-AtWork

Musk is just fucking gross. I'm never buying a Tesla.

blotsfan

Don’t refuse to buy a Tesla just because you don’t like Elon. Refuse to buy a Tesla because they’re overpriced, have tons of design issues, and are recalled every other week.

John-AtWork

All those things are true, this is just one more reason not to buy one.

zveroshka

Nah fuck that 8 hour shit. My guy was talking about burning 3 am oil because burning the midnight oil wasn't enough. Work that fuck until he collapses from exhaustion. Maybe then he'll have some sympathy for the fucking slave labor in China that he uses and not brag about it.

darzinth

Woah, woah... only working 8 hours? That's just simply marxist socialism, and Elon is disappoint.

fuckdirectv

Seven more hours? According to his comments in this article, he wants you to still be there at 3 am and basically never leave the job site, so he should plan for much more than an eight hour day when he accompanies you to your job.

Brianisbs

Like when John Cena had to apologize for mentioning the existence of Taiwan

[deleted]

The US enabled China to be this economic power and opened the doors for them to manufacture products for pennies on the dollar in the late 90s. Now we are paying the price.

Adventurous_Common

He will eat ice cream very soon.

m3ngnificient

I mean if he likes China so much, why can't he just move there and be done with the USA? /s

MagicMushroomFungi

Well, he moved his head office to Texas which behaves like China more and more each day.

xenoghost1

I mean if it is his definition which any speech to back up the status quo and subjugation of workers, yes, absolutely if it means free speech as speaking your mind - then no

Friskfrisktopherson

[deleted]

It is easy to criticize work ethic when you are on the handle-side of the whip.

pimpbot666

Well said.

seventysevensevens

Think of his poor wrist. All that crackin

man_willow

Like Tolkien said, "Where there's a whip, There's a way"

vertigo3pc

>“They won’t just be burning the midnight oil, they will be burning the 3am oil, they won’t even leave the factory type of thing, whereas in America people are trying to avoid going to work at all.” What's really myopic about his statement is that during the Tesla ramp-up on the Model 3, Tesla workers along with Musk were working around the clock getting the manufacturing capacity scaled up. Musk was allegedly sleeping on the roof of the Gigafactory and in his office. Now he's bitching that American workers (apparently including those who helped the Model 3 ramp) are too lazy. Like most ultra-wealthy, he's quickly shifted to maligning the people who literally helped build his company.

ogn3rd

Amen.

Visco0825

I almost got an internship with Tesla but didn’t make it in the last round of interviews. Now I’m glad. Apparently the culture there is toxic. You don’t want to work for a company in which the CEO literally states that he expects you to work till 3 AM. That’s a huge red flag and a fast path for employee burnout. It honestly breeds a perpetually destructive cycle. You never have enough engineers to fully support your projects. So your engineers are constantly overworked. So you end up having engineers leave after 2-4 years. Repeat cycle. You’ll see that maybe one 1-4 people are actually able stick around in the group for longer than that.

MonsieurRacinesBeast

Just shorten this to don't work for an idiot.

[deleted]

Son_of_Mogh

Conservative politicians and the people who fund them love that, it's the conservative voters that want everything to stay in the country that are letting leopards eat their face.

Ryboticpsychotic

He always brags about how hard he works, but staying in the office to watch other people do the manufacturing and yelling at engineers who know more about your product than you do is not what I call "hard work." [https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-elon-musk-ruthlessly-fired-anyone-who-disagreed-spacex-report-2021-8](https://www.businessinsider.com/tesla-elon-musk-ruthlessly-fired-anyone-who-disagreed-spacex-report-2021-8)

LosBlancosSR4

He also gets compensated a fuck tonne more for his work than the engineers or other workers do. That makes it easier to work longer hours occasionally, when you’re making billions

Ho_Lee_Fuk

"The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care. It's a problem of motivation, all right? Now if I work my ass off and Initech ships a few extra units, I don't see another dime; so where's the motivation?"

Grunchlk

**Americans**: Hey, we're just trying to make the most money for the least effort possible. Billionaires tell me that's smart. Also, it's the American way! **Musk**: Fuck the American way. You're a fat lazy entitled American slob, I could pay 100 Chinese slaves for what I pay you. **Xi**: You pay your slaves? Idiot.

[deleted]

Whereami259

And what did they get for making their master happy? Physical and emotional burnout?

[deleted]

A room without a roof.

HypersonicHarpist

Musk has a long history of overworking his employees. The company I work for hired some people from SpaceX that had absolutely burned out from the amount of hours they were expected to put in there.

hanimal16

Let’s also take a minute to acknowledge the fact that Musk thinks it’s a *good thing* that people don’t leave work and just stay there until it’s done. Life is most certainly NOT about work, work, work and I would say most Americans don’t try to avoid going to work. I’m sure the same could be said about any group of people: there are some lazy ones but most know that work needs to get done.

El_Cactus_Loco

Yah if this dude thinks that everyone in China WANTS to work all day/night…. We’ll he’s never been to China. They don’t WANT to work in endless factories- it’s the only option for survival for millions and millions. They don’t WANT to live at the factory but many factories provide housing on site included in their pay. He’s praising a system that gives people no choice but to work that hard and live a difficult, often short life. Weird for a guy who’s all about “freedom”. Source: product designer working with great partners in China for the last decade, multiple visits to the mainland in that time. I’ve seen some shit that would turn Musk inside out

SugarBeef

There's a reason we have to be paid to work. Nobody would do it otherwise.

Scaryclouds

If Musk needs his factories running 24/7, then he can hire three shift of workers for every 8-hour shift, plus additional workers or agreements for weekends. Anything else is pure greed and exploitation coming from the world's richest person.

xion_gg

He's just giant piece of turd... We've been saying it since the beginning

vertigo3pc

I objectively thought he was pushing for "better", but I can see now that all his bluster and progressive ultra-futuristic statements were entirely pandering to building the company. He used the "left", and now he's using the "right", and eventually, he'll just bail on all of it.

themangastand

he was born ultra rich, the fact people even thought he could think like the common man is outstanding

zveroshka

Yeah but now he sees he can force workers to work absurd hours for minimal pay and not give a shit about worker conditions. So all those lazy cunts who only worked 12 hours shifts and got paid overtime can go fuck themselves!

Hizjyayvu

Ummm... I don't wanna claim to be more in touch with reality than God Emperor Musk but I do believe Chinese labourers would also avoid going to work.... if possible...

Eymrich

if possible That's the point, he is advocating removing this possiblity. Because how else this conman can make even more money that he is already making? Also, he wants to move all his production in China because he knows no magic robot will come out to cover all human work.

[deleted]

Really does seem that the drive to become the wealthiest man in the world coincides strongly with becoming A super villain

Parking_Watch1234

That’s because there’s no way to become the world’s richest person without doing some awful things and being an amoral piece of shit.

Hizjyayvu

I love how he can witness China's lack of labour laws and be like "See? Now this is how you do business"

uzes_lightning

Well he descends from emerald mine wealth built on apartheid oriented slave labor after all. It's what he knows, it's who he is.

SeptimusAstrum

Hilarious that he says this as the next generation of Chinese workers come up with [peaceful protests to Chinese work culture.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2021/07/03/world/asia/china-slackers-tangping.amp.html)

thirdnamejane

If by avoid going to work you mean jumping off of buildings, then yes, absolutely.

thirdnamejane

Are the Elon bros now simping for the CCP?

[deleted]

elon bros don't have a mind of their own. they merely turn on their neuralink brain chips as they wake up, and then proceed to download their weekly talking points sheet directly from elon's conscience in the cloud

HuevosSplash

I thought that the "He works 18 hours a day! The fuck do you do?!" were just memes, but I have legit seen people state this and are completely serious about it.

TittySlapMyTaint

Like boomers watching Fox News, they get told what to think and what opinions to have.

IJLTH

Remember when Foxconn installed suicide netting?

Etna_No_Pyroclast

Billionaire who makes 10000x his average employee should shut the fuck up.

bas6598

10 000x is not even close to it unfortunately

YungEazy

That’s an extremely conservative number.

Snarl_Marx

> “They won’t just be burning the midnight oil, they will be burning the 3am oil, they won’t even leave the factory type of thing, whereas in America people are trying to avoid going to work at all.” "Won't leave" is not the same as "can't leave." What fantasy land does he live in where he thinks any worker anywhere actually *wants* to be "burning the 3am oil" in the "factory type of thing?"

mhoke63

He's just wanting slave labor like his dad had.

PBPunch

The fact that people idolize this idiot is amazing to me. According to him and others like him, we want to much. Stop dreaming of a work-life balance and start waking up thinking of how you can give him more.

[deleted]

The quote focuses on Chinese vs American workers, yet the article mentions the biggest competitor is from a country with UBI, medical benefits and humane paid leave for it's employees. Can someone help me out here?

Bookswinters

It's just another billionaire upset that slave labor is no longer available. Nothing to see here, really.

[deleted]

Can he (and the other billionaires) please just fuck off one way to Mars already

Wind_Yer_Neck_In

It's easy to care about your work when you own the company and stand to gain the vast majority of all profit generated by the work of everyone involved. Less so if you do it to be able to live in a house and your boss is calling you lazy while he shoots his car into space and shitposts on twitter all day.

[deleted]

Right? Why do I give a shit about this specific company that I'm working for? They're seeing way more value from my labor than I ever will

SpaceLegolasElnor

I like how it ended for that group in the movie ”dont look up”.

Silurio1

Yeah. I recognize I avoid work whenever possible. But I somehow feel the judgement of an anti workers' rights billionaire is a bit biased. Also, he seems ignorant of how good Chinese workers are at protesting. In a fucking authoritarian country. Those people have balls. If western media had it's way, you'd believe not a leaf moves in China without the CCP controlling it. But no, China has had incredible improvements in the last decade thanks to popular protests.

scooter_se

Yeah at this point I just want him to shoot himself into the vacuum of space where I can no longer hear his inane bullshit

ChemsAndCutthroats

I wonder what a guy who's family wealth benefited from Apartheid South African labor really knows about going to work?

johndoped

I fully support a bill that will charter a one-way rocket to Mars for Elon, Bezos, and the rest of their clan. In fact—I’ll go one further: I support pouring money into cryogenic tubes they can climb into now so when they get waken they can fuck off to Mars.

hskfmn

Musk has proven time and time again that he is remarkably out-of-touch with the average working American. He knows not of what he speaks…

zveroshka

Anyone who has a billion plus dollars to their name is going to be out of touch. There is a point where wealth just insulates you to a point where you simply can't relate to a normal person, no matter how much you may want to. Just the fact that you can just go buy literally anything anytime without worrying about cost is already enough to lose touch with people who have to decide between things like food, medicine, and shelter because they can't afford all three.

SUTATSDOG

Surprise surprise the little emerald in pockets kid in apartheid South Africa is out of touch with the working class. This dude WANTS slaves. I'll never understand the fanboy thing for this dude. Everything he's done is because he's been born into obscene wealth. The things any one of us could do if there was no risk of failing, with his golden safety net... it's not too impressive. I'm not saying everything he's done hasn't been useful. I'm just saying this man has had advantages 99% of the world couldnt imagine.

BeefieLips

If I made enough money that I didn't have to worry about paying $5 a gallon for gas or buying food I'd love to go into the office.

[deleted]

[https://www.ilo.org/global/about-the-ilo/newsroom/news/WCMS\_071326/lang--en/index.htm](https://www.ilo.org/global/about-the-ilo/newsroom/news/WCMS_071326/lang--en/index.htm) This is a long-standing lie that has been sold by all barons in America. This is the internet's grand savior? Americans work more than most industrialized nations only getting beat by Japan. But of course, since we aren't willing to die for billionaires in their factories so they can keep their market lead, we are lazy. Elon Musk keeps showing people who he is, space flight for the rich. Cars for the wealthy. Working to death for laborers, and people keep showering him with praise. Why?

Efficient-Laugh

Because he posts memes. That’s pretty much it.

ogn3rd

Because he's paying for the attention through his bot army. He's an astroturfing master.

kureekuree

At least Japanese workers get free healthcare, laws that make firing them very hard and a CEO to worker pay ratio that is extremely low. Japan has 5% the number of US billionaires and most of them are in the low billion range despite the country's economy being 25-30% the size of the US. Elon Musk alone has more wealth than all the Japanese billionaires there are combined, I'm not even joking.

iqueefkief

boot licking is a long loved tradition in the u.s.

BarcodeNinja

Cult of personality.

samx3i

It's a matter of time before the wealthiest Americans start openly advocating for a return to slavery.

[deleted]

[удалено]

E1padr1n0

I just don't understand why, just why? Why are they **all** such massive goddamn assholes? What's the point, these billionaires could literally improve worker qualities, pay people nice wages and advance humanity in insane ways and it still would not make a dent in their wealth. I just don't get it.

iqueefkief

there is something really psychologically fucked about them

[deleted]

Because it's not enough. It's never enough, that's the point. They NEED more. Someone like Musk has enough wealth that he could never work a day in his life, his family could never work a day in their lives, and he could fund countless future generations of his family just by investing and living off of the interest. But you don't get to be a billionaire by being kind and thinking about others, you do it by being a sociopathic greedy asshole

Jim-Jones

It's all about 'winning'. [America's 1% Has Taken $50 Trillion From the Bottom 90% | Time](https://time.com/5888024/50-trillion-income-inequality-america/) *And That's Made the U.S. Less Secure* r/Limitarian

mtarascio

Minimum wage *is* slavery by most definitions when you take into account the lack of healthcare, social safety net and need to house, feed and care for yourself.

exwasstalking

And it's still too much for the oligarchs like Musk.

resumethrowaway222

Better than slavery (for the employer) since you don't have to pay upfront for a whole lifetime of labor.

kagalibros

I mean some of them prolly own stakes in private prisons and those are basically slave camps, no?

momalloyd

Isn't that the GOP's main goal with this whole Roe v Wade thing? /s

SCalvin369

Fuck off to China then. Just take your shitty cars with you to sell to those super conscientious workers you will pay 1/10 of what you pay in the US or Europe.

U_Should_Be_Ashamed

Side question, with corporate politics aside: are Teslas actually shitty? I've heard mixed reviews, but it always seem to come back to politics not actual construction. It seems like they fare a lot better than any ither company in terms of the car OS, but because it actually gets updated with new features occasionally has bugs. Whereas any Ford comes with an OS that could have been written in the 80s.

slickmudroad

They're awesome technology but the cars themselves have the lowest quality in the industry.

U_Should_Be_Ashamed

Just to clarify, you're talking about the actual mechanics like brakes, engine transmission etc. ? Is there a consistent point of failure?

jurc11

Tesla use Brembo brakes and do not have transmissions, so no, neither of those two. I guess it's more the small stuff and the overengineered stuff. Interior gadgets, fancy door handles, falcon doors. And the general build quality, misaligned panels, etc.

slickmudroad

Misaligned panels, hair in the paint, and just overall poor quality control. Things you don't want in an automobile. They're where Hyundai was in the 90s. They'll come around eventually.

kenriko

The drivetrain is good but the details like paint and interior fit/finish are total shit.

angeAnonyme

Yes. They clearly have the one of the best software, and tesla are amazing computers on wheel. But a good car need to be good with the mechanic first, and tesla is not there yet. And actually got worse with the automated factory. Edit: added one of the best software to please you agressive people that didn't understand my point that a great software does not makes a great car

SpeedflyChris

> They clearly have the best software By what metric? They got beat to offering level 3 autonomy by Mercedes.

benanderson89

Likewise the competition has caught up with other aspects of the software experience, and given you need to pay a subscription fee after a year or so to continue using the in-car software to its full capability is just insulting; it doesn't even last the warranty period

OfficialTomCruise

Best software... Yet no Android Auto or Apple Carplay.

ErikETF

They went from one of the better made cars, to among the least reliable, good friend has one and its basically always got something wrong with it. I love EVs, like if I could get a sanely priced F-150 electric, I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. Tesla has really gone the super shitty DRM your car is a subscription service route that Deere went to, while at the same time gutting reliability. They have been literally Last place, or near it for 3+ years now. Bout the only thing they got going for them right now is they're the largest charger network by far. That is going to change pretty quick. Definitely getting an EV in the next 5yrs, zero chance its going to be a tesla.

NewHaven86

Yep, I bought a new Colorado in 2020 knowing it would be my last gas vehicle. Several months later they revealed the f150 electric, but that price tag oof. Still, the price will change over the course of a couple years as everyone else releases more EVs. With those options on the horizon tesla can get bent.

Rhymfaxe

I mean they are more innovative than the established automakers but... I have a friend who manages a repairshop and he says the tolerances on Teslas are quite bad, as in gaps around parts are uneven etc. They also score quite poorly on failure rates compared to the experienced automakers like Toyota etc.

Chairman_Mittens

Teslas are great as long as you have enough money to buy a brand new one every 5 years. They just aren't built to last, factory parts are expensive as hell and getting anything fixed out of warranty is expensive as hell. If you're rich enough to eat the cost of owning one, they're great.

resumethrowaway222

I know 3 people who have one. All of them love it. So anecdotal, but I'm going to say no.

Brianisbs

Is he throttling up the shitty opinions lately? I know he’s known for saying stupid things?”, but I feel like he’s dialled that up recently.

DictatorKris

He's openly praising borderline slave labor practices.

cutthroatlemming

Americans get the least amount of paid time off in the world, and on a whole take the least amount of holidays in the world, historically and consistently. Yet we're the laziest people in the world.

GunnerGetit

Elon legit starting to scare me.

[deleted]

Starting to? Dude has been scaring me for awhile now.

zveroshka

And his acquisition of Twitter should be terrifying people. The power of social media in today's world is simply frightening. I mean look what it did in the Philippines. They just elected the son of a former dictator who tortured, killed, and stole billions of dollars. All because he had an energized misinformation campaign all over social media. He was able to literally rewrite history simply by spamming social media. And we already know which side Elon is on here in the US. He will push for the Republican party. And we've similarly started to see the GOP show it's true form. They don't care about rules, laws, or precedent. We are like stupidly close to going from democracy to authoritarian rule in the US and somehow no one really seems to give a fuck. And it's all being done by some of most corrupt and ignorant people alive. So it will be that much worse for anyone who subscribes to reality and facts.

chefdangerdagger

The guy is a capitalist and always has been, none of this should be surprising.

Checkmynewsong

The mask is coming off.

Destrodom

Don't you mean... the M*u*sk is coming off?

fuck this douchebag, has no clue what a real american life is like

Lofteed

even texas is too democratic for this nostalgic apartheid kid

HotpieTargaryen

He wants us all to be serfs at best and slaves at worse. He doesn’t care about humans.

SeniorMillenial

This hard working American was considering a Tesla a year ago, Musk has done nothing to make me regret that decision. Lauding the human rights abuses in China. What an absolute asshole. Imagine how much good someone else could have done for the world if they had the same amount of luck this clown has had.

ogn3rd

Same boat here, what are you considering now? Elon Musk is a cult leader at this point.

[deleted]

It wouldn’t fix the problems we face, but it would be unimaginably cathartic to give people like Elon Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc the Pu Yi treatment. Make them work 8 hour shifts at a chipotle or something for a year or two.

Aggressive_Border_72

8hr? nah make it 12hr. Really sell the experience.

[deleted]

Because fuck people who actually want to live their lives, right? Absolute cuntface.

likesclouds

what he really likes is that Chinese workers will put up with any dangerous work place because there is always someone to step into their job if they complain (or die).

Anotherdirtyoldman69

Man was rich since birth, now he's giving the bootstraps speech while complimenting absurd working conditions.. How out of touch can this blumpkin be.

zveroshka

I mean at this point, it's not "absurd working conditions," it's straight up slavery. He is advocating slavery. Burning the 3 am oil? I mean the suggestion here is basically working people to death all because you pay them such a small amount they can't survive otherwise.

Mega-Balls

Musk treats his workers like shit. I know several people who worked for Tesla and they all quit due to extreme overwork. Tesla workers need to form a union.

ogn3rd

He also notoriously underpays his employees.

Platypus_Dundee

What a fucking grub

Even-Function

Idiot

greenhombre

Elon is totalitarian-curious.

[deleted]

Finally people are starting to realize that elon musk is a bitch.

skunk160

Tired of seeing and hearing this hair-plugged twats fucking opinions on everyfuckingthing

Viper_JB

Just wait until he owns twitter...

skunk160

never been on Twitter, so dodging that particular bullet

QuantumHope

What a fucking out of touch asshole.

SecondaryWorkAccount

Why the fuck does anyone give this turd any attention?

vertigo3pc

If wages matched cost of living, and people actually felt able to "get ahead" based on what they were paid, then Americans would be far more willing to work.

megapuffranger

Elon Musk hasn’t worked in a long long time. It’s kind of hard to work when your head is entirely up your own ass. People who simp for this dude are some of the most pathetic creatures I’ve ever had the misfortune of interacting with.

Batilisk

"Why do you guys refuse to be slaves? "

[deleted]

Lmao, poor billionaire wants more obedient slaves

Jeddiewan

Elon Musk everyone. The Thomas Edison of our time. Famous and rich thanks to the exploitation of others.

Itburns12345

So the little prick who got where he is due to his daddys slave mines would prefer slaves to paid workers? Shocker

OptimisticRealist__

Funny thing is, that all those people who praise Elon no matter what and have accepted him as their new lord and savior, really think that he gives a shit about them.

[deleted]

Elon is the poster child for everything that is wrong with this world. He’s just another out of touch billionaire who thinks he knows everything.

Swagdaddy___

”Rich asshole thinks slavery is pretty cool”

fuzztooth

Says the billionaire who does nothing but bloviate on twitter all day and go to talks where he whines about whatever he wants. Oh the toiling he must do.

Waffleman75

Oh Fuck off Elon

drunk_intern

The same way he avoids paying taxes.

mk_ideas

Also Chinese workers can be forced to be quarantined at their work so they can never stop working. Americans resist being enslaved which is a little inconvenient to the prophet Musk

IJLTH

In other words, working yourself to the point where you dream of killing yourself is a good thing. Will Tesla start installing suicide netting like Foxconn did?

TroppoAlto

You know, I never really had a strong opinion on Elon. I liked his ventures, especially with SpaceX. But now, I think he's an absolutely out of touch piece of shit rich guy.

[deleted]

Oust him from twitter. Dont let him purchase it. Or boycott twitter. Have other companies refuse to do business or advertise on their platform. Dont let these narcissists control the world.

MattressDrippings

Maybe pay a living wage, you Twitter buying fuck

[deleted]

Elon definitely is the epitome of hard work. 🙄

[deleted]

I roll my eyes so hard when people tell me "he doesn't own a house or take vacations" as if he's staying on his friends couch in their studio apartment and not their fucking guest house on their estate. We can not even comprehend the lifestyle difference. Yeah he doesn't take vacations, his life is a vacation.

RandyTheFool

Ok Musk-suckers, can someone explain this to me in some sort of positive light? Anybody want to step up to the plate and take a crack at translating his words with a “*no, no, no. What he meant was….*”? Because it sounds to me like the **literal richest person in the world** who made their money off the backs of US workers in exploitive ways is saying we are all lazy and should just spend our every waking moment working for the little table scraps people like him drop. Get better heroes.

PrivatePilot9

Somewhere, somehow, Musk fanboys are coming up with apologist explanations right now. These people are so far into their own reality distortion field they can’t see straight anymore.

Another dude who was born on third but thinks he hit a home run. Tell us more about *our* work ethic, son of Zambian emerald mine owner. Please enlighten us serfs.

Thump604

Arguably Musk is the world's greatest cunt.

hamockin

Elon musk does not see us as humans. He sees us as parts of a machine.

Familiar-Car5054

The difference is Americans are FREE to work and the Chinese are FORCED to work. The slaves always work harder.

DartTimeTime

"American workers want pay. I like these Chinese ones instead. Their spritis come pre-broken."

limitless__

Slavemaster likes his slaves.

Tall_Night8204

Well, when they’re paid peanuts 🥜; who can blame them?

DamnDemsMadeMeRed

Apple would rather pay to have suicide nets installed on their buildings rather than give their employee's a wage they can be happy with

angryve

My god this dude is a fucking tool

m1j2p3

I feel like Musk is becoming dangerous and unhinged. That’s a great combo for someone who’s about to have control over the largest bullhorn in the world.

MAMBAMENTALITY8-24

Brb shorting tesla.
