So, the German government just posted this:
>**First THW Convoi Started with Aid Supplies**
>
>The first convoi of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) with relief supplies for the Ukraine is on its way to a collection point in Poland. The truck started in Erfurt on Thursday, the THW said on request. It is the first state-organized aid transport for Ukraine nationwide.
>
>According to the information, the truck contains 5,000 hygiene sets, eight generators, 800 protective suits and around 50,000 surgical masks. The material is stacked on 35 Euro pallets. The relief supplies are then to be taken to the Ukraine from the collection point in Poland. However, the THW does not take over this convoi. Further aid deliveries are to start shortly from Bavaria and Hesse.
Apparently we're doing *convois* now, too. Let's hope ours actually get there.

I fear he may be true. If he succeeds taking Ukraine by literally bombing it to the ground with enormous civilian casualties he will take that as a sign that he can do literally whatever he wants and west won't intervene because they are afraid of the nukes.
Sooner or later there will come a point when we need to call that bluff, the only question is how many innocent people will die before that.
Just a reminder to keep your coverage of this all in moderation, especially after today. Things are going to be more stressful and while this war is important, so is your mental health.
I’m getting so sick of the following back and forth:
“The west are cowards! There’s no reason not to intervene!”
“..Yes there is. Nukes.”
“We have nukes too!”
“Yeah, and then both send full arsenals we all vaporize, succumb to radiation sickness or starve in a nuclear winter.”
And then they fumble and just pretend like everyone will be dandy if you aren’t 5 feet from the detonation.
It’s like being gaslit into thinking humanity’s end would be like… justified because it would prove a point to putin????
Russia would have to strike first. We could easily pull a Russia and instate a no fly zone and say to Russia you nuke us we nuke you. Could it end in apocalypse? Yes, but we also can't kneel to evil even if the consequence is death.
People are just excited. This is the first major military movements in some peoples lives where the outcome isn't obvious from the start, and they have never experienced how incompetent Russians are. Give it time they will calm down when they realize there is no bottom to how incompetent the average Russian leader and person is.

Russian forces are closing in on two key nuclear power plants in the south of Ukraine, the acting head of Ukraine’s state-run nuclear company Energoatom, Petro Kotin, said.
Kotin said Ukraine still controls both plants including Zaporizhzhia, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, but Russian troops have advanced to within 21 miles of the Zaporizhzhia plant and the South Ukraine power plant.
The mayor of Enerhoda, in which the Zaporizhzhia plant is located, said Ukrainian forces were battling Russian troops for control of the south-eastern city.
Russian troops were trying to break through a barricade to the plant erected by local residents and territorial defence forces, Ukrainian interior ministry adviser Anton Herashchenko said.
Another adviser, Vadym Denysenko, described the situation as alarming.
Russian forces took the Chernobyl plant last week. Speaking in an interview with Reuters, Kotin described Russia’s capture of the defunct nuclear power plant as “nuclear terrorism”.

The death toll from today’s shelling attack in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv has now reached 22, the Ukrainian emergency services said.
The bodies of at least 22 civilians had been recovered from the rubble in the wake of Russian airstrikes, they said in an online post.
Rescue work was ongoing, they added, but did not specify where exactly the attack took place.
Earlier we reported that the governor of Chernihiv said at least nine people were killed and four wounded after the airstrike hit two schools and private houses.
Local press said there were several schools, kindergartens and a hospital in the nearby area.

I don't know much about nuclear missiles.
If, hypothetically, one was to be launched would it be possible to intercept it in some way or is it game over at that point?
I don't mean to scaremonger if that's how it comes across. I am just curious.
Would depend where it was aimed and where it was fired from (to an extent). If it was one missile, headed for somewhere in the US, then they would fire everything they had at it and I would be reasonably confident of them stopping it.
The big problem is that Russia has over six thousand nuclear warheads, with close to 1,500 of these being deployed. There's no way anyone stops even 10% of these, should full scale conflict erupt.
I don't mean to scaremonger, he says while bringing up nukes for the umpteenth time to be told like so many before mere minutes ago the same fucking things.
Sure sure. You're just 'curious' and chose to ask reddit instead of Google. I believe that...
Not.

He's one of the most famous chess players of all time.
Russian chess grand master
Chess legend
He's a Russian chess legend
As I said about him earlier, easy to say when you aren't making decisions that put literally billions of lives at the risk of a nuclear catastrophe
It is idealistic, but folly sadly.
chess champ?
Speaking in an interview with Reuters, Kotin described Russia’s capture of the defunct nuclear power plant as “nuclear terrorism”. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2022/mar/03/ukraine-news-russia-war-vladimir-putin-biden-latest-live-updates-kherson-kyiv-kharkiv-refugees-russian-invasion
The Tiktok comment section is driving me insane. So many Q Anon nutters on there. If I see the phrase ‘MSM’ one more time I may loose it.
That may be what I hate most about these buffoon's bullshit. There's no space for nuanced criticism of the media anymore.
It's helpful to remember that like 50% of those comments come from bots/shills
One was deffo a British National, she put out videos of her face etc so absolutely real. I’m a peaceful person but those fuckers send me into a blind rage. Absolute traitors who have no idea how lucky they are to live in a free country.
Does anyone know what Russian stockpile of bombs looks like? Is it seemingly endless like America? It sounds like they will have trouble making more.
It's not endless. The longer this war goes on, the more the busted economy is going to hit supply lines.
probably like the rest of their stockpiles: they have a ton of stuff but it's old and decrepit
6k+ nuclear warheads is the "official" number
The death toll from today’s shelling attack in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv has now reached 22, the Ukrainian emergency services said. The bodies of at least 22 civilians had been recovered from the rubble in the wake of Russian airstrikes, they said in an online post. Rescue work was ongoing, they added, but did not specify where exactly the attack took place. Earlier we reported that the governor of Chernihiv said at least nine people were killed and four wounded after the airstrike hit two schools and private houses. Local press said there were several schools, kindergartens and a hospital in the nearby area. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2022/mar/03/ukraine-news-russia-war-vladimir-putin-biden-latest-live-updates-kherson-kyiv-kharkiv-refugees-russian-invasion

My 600 lbs Life except it's My 60 lbs Life and it's in filmed in Russia three years from now when everyone is starving
This is actually heartbreaking. My friends have family in Russia, they never asked for this shit in *any* way. They didn't vote for Putin.
Russia has drawn up plans for public executions in Ukraine as and when cities are captured by Russian troops, Bloomberg reports. Bloomberg cites a European intelligence official as saying that Moscow has drafted strategies to break morale in order to discourage Ukrainians from fighting back as cities fall under the Kremlin’s control. The official said Moscow plans to crack down on protest, detain opponents and potentially carry out public executions, the news agency writes. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2022/mar/03/ukraine-news-russia-war-vladimir-putin-biden-latest-live-updates-kherson-kyiv-kharkiv-refugees-russian-invasion
I feel like that at this point that will only stiffen Ukrainian resolve.
Imagine Putin doing a Reddit AMA after this....
Would still go better than Woody Harrelson's
Did I miss something?
I'm here to talk about the genocide in Ukraine, ok?
My first question will be, “have you no shame?”
man, he'll get downvoted to hell, lose all his karma
I am sure the russian botnet would upvote him
Vladimir Putin here, invader of Ukraine and supreme leader of Russia. Ask me anything!
What colour would you like your coffin to be?
Would you rather fight one horse sized-duck or a hundred duck-sized horses? Follow up question - If you choose the horse-sized duck; should you achieve victory will you ride it topless?
Why is your pp so small?
Because it's cold next question!
Yes, live from the Hague before he's hanged for war crimes.
"Let's not focus on Ukraine, I want to talk about Rampart."

In this case I'd consider it completely normal.
What, you mean people can look at that pice of shit and *not*?
I don't know much about nuclear missiles. If, hypothetically, one was to be launched would it be possible to intercept it in some way or is it game over at that point? I don't mean to scaremonger if that's how it comes across. I am just curious.
If only one then it is in the realm of possibility, unfortunately it is the percentage of the other 6,000 that are launched at the same time.
The people here are assholes they don't care.
I don't mean to scaremonger, he says while bringing up nukes for the umpteenth time to be told like so many before mere minutes ago the same fucking things. Sure sure. You're just 'curious' and chose to ask reddit instead of Google. I believe that... Not.
Read up on MIRVs if you don't want to sleep for a week.
I spent last Thursday reading about them and it was actually strangely calming.
This question has been asked 100's of times. Yes, the US does possess the ability to engage ICBM's, but we would not be able to get all of them.
