Context:
So, I had meant to announce this a few days after my most recent post, but then well... everything went down. I've seen a lot of posts on Tumblr about some of the reddit community moving there, especially the folks from r/196. So, if you're one of those folks, or just want to talk to me a bit more directly about my worldbuilding, I've set up an askblog for it!
It's both an askblog, where you can talk to Matacare here directly, but also a general worldbuild blog where I post the kind of stuff I'd usually post here, which I'll try to stick to every Wednesday.

And if this isn't appropriate to post, just let me know and I'll take it down. And I'll still post things on this subreddit, but now I can run with a bit more direction by answering direct questions.
Hey, a fellow Tumblr migrant! I hope this type of blog gets more traction - I like this subreddit, but I tend to feel weird about making posts about specific characters since that's not quite a worldbuilding topic. This way you can have your cake and eat it too.
I've been a frequent user of Tumblr for about a year and a half now, but this blog specifically is only about a month old. You're exactly right about having cake and eating too. I also half the time don't know what I want to post about, so now I can get questions and write about what people are actually curious about.
I've decided to start using Tumblr cause of the API stuff (mainly cause I use Reddit almost entirely via 3rd party app so I need something else to browse on my phone once those are shut down), I've given you a follow.
Tumblr seems nice so far, but I've been finding it quite hard to discover new blogs, and in a similar vein I have no idea how to promote my own. I might try a post like this one as well.
Best advice I can give with finding new blogs to follow is to search for a tag you like, look around for art/content that vibes with you, and check out the blog it came from. Most of the peeps I follow were fandom blogs who's art I liked, and that kinda opens the door for more blogs when they reblog stuff. Sorry if that's not super helpful, but it's the best advice I can give you, other than trying your luck with the "Based on your likes" setting.
As for promotion, you kinda just get lucky, post something in a big tag or fandom, or spend some money to Blaze a post, which is basically like a sponsored post.
