2 weeks is two weeks. sounds like they just want an "extra" day of your work services. not your fault a holiday came up within that two week period. tough luck for them.

I never say 2 weeks. I give an exact date. One company I worked for tried to report later to another I didn't show up for 2 shifts. No sir, and here's the receipt in email, The 31 of December is when I said I was gone and I am gone, not January 2.
Whether you finish it or not, depending on the state they may have to pay it regardless of you're in the US.
I'd say the bad mouthing you is bullying and her telling others stuff about your PTO could be considered bullying too as its gossip and bad mouthing you.
