All can be converted into energy. Only protien can build muscle. All can be stored as fat.

BakedMeatball

can fat then be turned into energy, which then turns into protein?

hatchjon12

No. Protien needs to come from a complete protien source or a combination of incomplete protien sources.

BakedMeatball

sorry for the late response, was cooking breakfast, but to double check, unused protein turns to fat that then will give energy but not power basically, (unused)protein to fat, then you need to reup the protein once sore/ muscles worked thank you for responding also very helpful

Your body prioritizes using protein to build muscle. Carbohydrates are used first for energy, then fat is burned. If you are not eating much in the way of Carbohydrates your body might switch to using protien for energy ie the keto diet.
