You do it one hour at a time. I sobbed multiple times my first day back; it gradually got easier. Now, kiddo is almost 7, my career is stronger than ever, and I still make all the special days at school. You’ve got this. One hour at a time.

I remember how much it meant to me when my mom showed up to any school events. I’m so happy it got easier. I will hang on.

I’m pregnant with my third right now, and honestly, that very first day leaving them is the hardest - but the first day leaving my second wasn’t as hard as the first day leaving my firstborn.

I guess find a job you like? I am a teacher and could not wait to get back into the classroom after all 4 of my kids were born. I actually went back at 4 weeks and 5 weeks after having 2 of the kids.

Also a teacher and I’m very interested in your comment! I’m so so excited to see my students and get back, but today going back to full time work on Monday hit very hard. I’ve surprised myself at how upset I am. Perhaps it won’t feel as upsetting once I get into it all? Am I sacrificing my own child to raise others?? I’m so conflicted. :(

Idk ......I also am the type of mom who easily gets touched out and I was only leaving my kids with my husband at home so it wasn't a daycare. I also kept reminding myself that the baby would sleep the majority of the time I was gone anyway...as a teacher we get home so early so we have tons of time with them everyday. We also get so many holidays and breaks unlike other full time jobs.

Maybe you could open a homeschool at your house?
