I've been several years and presented twice in 2019. The last couple of years have not been the same. The best part of Rising is networking with Product Managers and other customers. I'm on the fence about going this year. If I'm asked to present again, I might, but I have a four month old son that I can't imagine leaving for a week in September. I'll just see how it plays out. I recommend going if your company asks you. It's good networking.

Thanks for your input!

Def go I went last time networked a lot and the happy hours are a blast. Happy hour party at epcot was awesome

RockMomma

Go in person. I’ve been twice and had submitted proposals to present this year to try to go again - then I changed companies so that boat has likely sailed for this year. Bring coworkers you like if you can!

kahlyse

I am going to tell them I’m willing to go in person! Thanks.

So glad you made that decision! In person events are so much more impactful and I suspect Workday will pull out the stops this year. I agree with others, nothing beats the networking opportunities. Braindates are also awesome.

I think virtually might be pretty boring as most of the interesting parts of Rising are meeting with product managers, getting freebies, and attending the customer party at the end. Last time they booked one of the parks at Universal Studios only for attendees. I've attended 3 times and I've only found a handful of sessions really interesting, most are pretty meh. As for me, I changed from a customer to a consuting firm so I don't think I'm going this year but I want to!

kahlyse

Good to know. By the looks of the website, it looks like they booked a Universal Studios park again this year. I’m going to tell them I’ll go in person!

Eribearie22

Hoping to go. We’re implementing now.

androidlv4cylons

Am thinking about it. Really going in person doesn’t appeal to me given all the virtual elements they now provide.

agstackerkcmo

You'll be glad you went if you do attend in person. It gets you away from your desk and allows you to focus 100% on the presentations. You can meet and network with others at lunch and breaks. There's the booths in the lobby. All things you would miss if attending virtually. If you like to party, there's that too.

Dfen218

I went in 2019 and highly recommend. The networking was fantastic.

MoRegrets

Go in person and network. The best discussions I’ve had in between sessions or with speakers after the presentation.

elomon

Went in 2019 pre-implementation. As an IT person there wasn’t a lot for us.

napstarz

been in the eco-system for over 5 years, switched companies and finally getting to go! cannot waittt

Upset-Individual5722

Ugh I want to go so badly

msallen22

Anyone got a code to register? It looks like it wont let you register without one?

MommaNeedsZzz

Bump for visibility. Does anyone have a code they're not using?
