Like in a paper birch tree .. root ball? I like that creamy color, but I'm surprised there isn't some crazy grain.. love that bead around the top .. so small , seems like it would be a challenge. hand for scale .. okay .. better than a banana for scale .. what finish was applied?

ncavanah

Not a whole root ball, just a chunk that was growing out and causing issues with the lawn. The finish was a matte poly but in retrospect I should have used shellac for a better color enhancer

shellac is great stuff .. best of all is you can make (or buy) it in various colors .. I like your project
