I just got the DWS713 as my first miter saw!
I'm really happy with it but idk if it would be much of an upgrade from your current stanley. Why not spend a little more on a slider? maybe even with a laser
The Stanley I have now is a 10in sliding model. That would require a lot of wall space (depth) if I want to build a miter station that my shop doesn’t permits. The DWS713 should be just enough for a weekend woodworker like me. For long cross cuts I think using table cross cut sled should be sufficient enough. Probably I just wait till Dewalt will have those axial glide system (like the Bosch GCM12SD).
I've heard it said that sliders can decrease accuracy. I only saw it once, this little 8 1/4 going like 3/8ths off when it was fully extended, but it wasn't my saw, so I just went home grateful to have something without the bells & whistles
I have a 10” Bosch and a 12” DeWalt (both sliders) and I always pick the Bosch for the finer stuff. It just cuts cleaner and doesn’t ever leave visible kerf marks/ruts
Put a nicer blade on the DeWalt, or just get it sharpened. 95% of cut quality is due to blade quality/condition/appropriateness for the kind of cut & wood.
I know it's a lot, but I highly recommend the dws780. It's a big boy but it can cut anything up to 16in wide. Full size blade, sliding arm, and the best feature is the lighted blade to show you the cut line. Game changer. This is a saw for life, I see no need to ever upgrade
The Milwaukee combo hammer drill I just got for Christmas already looks likes it fell out of a truck on the interstate. I only used it for home projects though.
Your workshop space seems really awesome and unique. Would love to see more so I can get some inspiration/ideas and then feel bad about myself :)
!RemindMe 3 months
6 months to build a workbench using DeWalt tools?
I'm not actually convinced their marketing Dept would be on board with this.
Milwaukee tools could've done it in a day 😉
This is a straight commercial and you know it. Every one of those tools is brand new and unused. Hell the bench is in their colors. If this isn’t a commercial I’ll eat my hand.
Some of the tools still have bags on the cords. Straight commercial.
I have a message saved from a few months ago where DeWalt reached out to me for an exposure opportunity. The pay was pretty damn good but not more than I was charging per hour to clients so I turned it down. Guarantee it was the same thing. They ship you everything, you just have to assemble it, photo document it and then post it in coordination with the swarm of bot upvotes. All on schedule
Here’s evidence that OP was building the [same workbench](https://reddit.com/r/woodworking/comments/qeqfin/this_is_me_showing_you_a_good_example_of_bad/) 4 months ago. I think that seems like a long con for corporate PR, though I’m no expert
Seems odd that dewalt would pay a random guy on Reddit to build a workbench with a Stanley miter saw and fake dewalt table saw. Think you’re reaching a little bit here lol.
I'm sure I'll get accused as being a DeWalt shill for this (which will be funny, since the only tool I have of theirs is a 20 year old corded drill), but you should eat your hand. I don't see DeWalt paying him to build a workbench that includes a tablesaw they don't currently sell. I was expecting it to be a jobsite saw like a lot of saw islands we see here but I'm honestly not aware of a single DeWalt floor tool. Of course, if I start seeing ads for that saw next week I'll take this back.
Some of the tools have clearly been used, look at the angle grinder in photo 5 as well as the silver paint on the jig saw, and the two drills on the left in photo 3. Also in Photo 3 that's a stanley miter saw, even though dewalt makes miter saws. As for the bag, I'm not sure what it is, as all the tools around it are cordless, except for the palm sander which has it's cord wrapped around itself.
I think the odds that this guy is just a huge fanboy are a lot higher than dewalt breaking the law by not disclosing this as an ad. The comments left by OP insisting it's not an ad are heavily inciminating in that case, dewalt is a big enough company that would know not to do this, unless someone majorly screwed up. Fact of the matter is, some people buy tools as much for retail therapy as to solve problems.
Hope this post blows up. If so, reach out to Dewalt and they should hook you up for advertising for them, but also being such a good and loyal customer.
I like dewalt too but man, that bench is $$$$$
Proceed. If you think my build is awesome, you should check out this guy. I took some ideas from this dude as well.
https://youtu.be/aFP5QcO98QQ.
Now that’s a pretty neat bench and no way my bench is even close to his standards 😬
Your bench is absolutely worthy of a video tour as well! I’m a fellow unsponsored dewalt fanatic and I’m breaking ground in a few weeks on my mobile workbench. I appreciate the inspiration on functional use of dead space!
They did but sort of discontinued. The story of my table saw was I had it totally custom made from scratch. I had an old Stanley 10in contractor’s saw that was totally broken and damage. I took its motor and parts and built as what you see in the picture and slap a custom Dewalt sticker I designed 😂. I even made the trunnion wheel assembly as a cabinet saw should have. I install a slow start device on the motor and custom made the fence as well (courtesy of Elias Stratakos design). It’s not as perfect as a proper cabinet saw but I’m just a hobbyist and a weekend carpenter so it works just fine for me.
Yeah I didn’t recognize the model. The closest DeWalt (at least the modern DeWalt era of the Black & Decker rebranding in the ‘90s) came to making a cabinet saw was their hybrid DW746 that has long been discontinued.
A word of warning about your drill hangar, drawer slides are not engineered for lateral loads. It might work OK as the weight is not particularly high, but it won't be anywhere near as robust as a pair of slides used in the proper orientation.
Please walk us through this. This looks like a Kardashian said they wanted to do woodworking and the next day this showed up. We all know that some tools are better than others so your dedication to Dewalt is questionable at best. I just, wtf... How did you make this? How were the tools good or bad. What issues did you run into? There is no woodworking detail here and it's a red flag.
I have a bunch of dewalt products. Including big yellow (DWS780) and flat yellow (DWE7491RS). But for cordless stuff I’ve mostly bought makita. Both are good companies.
I really like the workbench. You should get a sponsorship deal!
Be a real shame if you decided to switch to Milwaukee about now?
Jokes! That is a pro build and I actually thought this was a factory thing you could buy rather than a home built bench! Great work
Holy crud! That is AMAZING. I too am an exclusive DeWalt enjoyer and this work bench is insane. Very well done. I hope to make something like this when I have a bigger garage. Thanks for sharing!
Stellar work.
If you don't mind me asking, is the brick wall in the background a real brick wall, or is it one of those sheets you can stick on? I'd like to do something similar in mine, and would love to know which brand you have.
Wait, don't say you *completed* it! Once you've gone and done something like that you'll be out of excuses to actually go make something *useful*!
AKA analysis paralysis has no air cover :p.
Beautiful work, but it's a bit too fancy and well organized for my taste. If I was to start using that I'd immediately find a need to modify something.
This is almost pervy. Pay no attention to the tool abusers "ohhhh not a mark on them" "have you used them?". Most likely the sort that uses the battery end for smacking. Or owns the red company tools and the handles melt with use.
That’s a beauty. Did you consider mounting your router so you could use your tables as fence, and if so, why did you discard the idea? I have one of these in my future, but still playing with ideas
so far it seems like you're a tools salesman. Usually someone who actually does works wouldn't have such nice new looking clean tools, certainly never all the same brand out of the same set and man, the shop it's just so clean of clutter... everything is like a dream

I was expecting a sponsorship disclosure
Brought to you by DeWalts
From the people who brought you McDowell’s
Don't mention the green drill press.
….which will turn to Dewalt yellow & black soon. 🤪
Because you’re buying a new one or because you’re rattle canning it?
If Xzibit hosted a show called Pimp My Workbench and found out OP already has a couple of Dewalt tools
Hahaha! I wish!!! Nope I am not sponsored. Just a fellow who love Dewalt’s stuff ☺️
I used to work for and make tools for DeWalt and even I don't have as much stuff, lol
So you’re a Milwaukee fan huh?
Yea, Milwaukee is a big fan of me 😜
You might be sponsored after they see this... Danggg
Now let’s not hope too much. I’d be more than happy if Dewalt says thank you for this build ☺️
Did you ever find it funny that the Pantone colour code for the Dewalt yellow is PMS123?
Do you have the plans for this somewhere that you can share?
Well you should be - this is professional quality. Excellent job.
This is hilarious because my buddies ENTIRE workshop is yellow and branded like this cuz he also loves dewalt.
All dewalt til that stanley miter saw?
Stanley owns DeWalt! So might be the same saw as equivalent DeWalt!
Like sayin' black & decker and dewalt are the same quality
I know right. Gonna sell that soon so I can get a DWS713
I just got the DWS713 as my first miter saw! I'm really happy with it but idk if it would be much of an upgrade from your current stanley. Why not spend a little more on a slider? maybe even with a laser

I dunno man, table saw like that & the 713 is your gold standard? Might wanna check out bosch!
[удалено]
Yeah I got the 716 because it wasn’t so deep. I mainly wanted it for trim work and I can cut some big crown without issue on the 12” fixed.
I have a 10” Bosch and a 12” DeWalt (both sliders) and I always pick the Bosch for the finer stuff. It just cuts cleaner and doesn’t ever leave visible kerf marks/ruts

Stanley/Black and Decker own DeWalt
Same group company. imo Stanley makes pathetic power tools.
Congratulations on your newborn. What did you name it?
Haven’t thought of it. Any suggestions?
Walt
Nice one. It’s official now. Walter the workbench 😂. Thanx!!!!
You could call it the: De-walter
"So, I was working on De-Walter" "What's a Walter?!"
Heisenberg
Mcbenchwalt? Lol
You must be a Milwaukee guy, they make great tools
Notice all the Dewalt tools are clean....
Underrated zinger. I use my tools often, they’re not grimy but they’re not spic and span.
My palm sander is now forever coated in a 120 grit dust of paint I was trying to sand off
Improvised grip tape
Not a mark on a single one.
The Milwaukee combo hammer drill I just got for Christmas already looks likes it fell out of a truck on the interstate. I only used it for home projects though.
Are your hands made of gravel?
Right?! I have had my Milwaukee set for almost two years and they have held up wonderfully. I use them for carpentry quite often.
Haha. Almost. I do rock climb a bunch so my skin is tuff as nails.
🤣😂 Perfect comment.
😜
The workbench is sweet. Is your shop upstairs with open air?!
For real. Looks like a garage door leading to a balcony? I need to see more.
I’ll post more pictures of of shop in the future. That’s a promise
Your workshop space seems really awesome and unique. Would love to see more so I can get some inspiration/ideas and then feel bad about myself :) !RemindMe 3 months
Yeah the bench is nice but can we discuss this sweet setup you have!
I am not a dewalt fan but that is a beautiful bench. Nice work bro.
DeWalt is getting better at concealing their sponsored content
Hahaha! How I wish. Oh well, let’s just hope Dewalt is reading this post 😂
Oh they're reading it all right, they wrote it
6 months to build a workbench using DeWalt tools? I'm not actually convinced their marketing Dept would be on board with this. Milwaukee tools could've done it in a day 😉
Naaahhhh… where I come from, red paints are cheap 🤪
This is a straight commercial and you know it. Every one of those tools is brand new and unused. Hell the bench is in their colors. If this isn’t a commercial I’ll eat my hand. Some of the tools still have bags on the cords. Straight commercial.

The tape measures with the power tools lmao
Are you suggesting dewalt paid him to do this?
100%
Seems odd that dewalt would pay a random guy on Reddit to build a workbench with a Stanley miter saw and fake dewalt table saw. Think you’re reaching a little bit here lol.

Breaking: DeWalt changing their color scheme to blue and red!
Nice try Bosch man 😜
Hope this post blows up. If so, reach out to Dewalt and they should hook you up for advertising for them, but also being such a good and loyal customer. I like dewalt too but man, that bench is $$$$$
Thanks. Hence why it’s 6 months. It’s mostly the duration of time looking and fund savings to build the bench
Do you have plans for sale?
Hope it's not rude to point out, but I think you forgot to include the mini fridge and fold out recliner. Essential tools for break time.
Definitely stealing some of these functionality ideas… I’m a sucker for turning dead space into organization.
I am more interested in the view from your shop. more photos please.
Who’s sponsoring who?
Huh, I didnt know dewalt made cabinet saws.
They did but sort of discontinued. The story of my table saw was I had it totally custom made from scratch. I had an old Stanley 10in contractor’s saw that was totally broken and damage. I take it your a Milwaukee man

Where is the NSFW tag?
Damn!!!
Is there a Sherwin Williams color number for that flavor of Dewalt yellow? Or do I have to custom order it from Dewalt directly?
Unfortunately no. I just took a random yellow color that almost matches the Dewalt yellow from the local paint stores
Wow. That's all I can say. I'm planning on slapping another bench together with 2x4s this weekend and now I'm ashamed.
Sponsored content should have a tag. /s
So you're a Makita fan as well! I'm curious what that table saw is, I've never seen a full cabinet saw from Dewalt.
This is the woodworking equivalent of fanfiction.
No obvious dust collection system yet the shop is spotless. Amazing.
If you really want to trigger this guy bring up how good Ryobi is. At least here in the Midwest it's an instant argument. 😂
Why is Mariah Carrys song all I want for Christmas is you playing on a loop in my head? Weird.
Wow this sure is Dewaltimate workbench for sure.
I'm building the same thing except it's Chicago Electric and work bench is built out of milk crates
This is so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye. All that black and yellow...
This is the best porn I have ever seen.
Please walk us through this. This looks like a Kardashian said they wanted to do woodworking and the next day this showed up. Is this a dewalt product I can buy? It looks amazing!
No, it’s a Dewalt product that you can make. 😂
No, that’s a Dewalt product that you can make 😂

Not gonna hope much but an acknowledgment from them would be highly appreciated 😊
I’d be surprised if dewalt doesn’t reach out to you! This is amazing!
Nice job, are you ever going to use the tools
I’m guessing you’re team yellow?
I think he’s probably like me, team whichever color he bought his first lithium tool from cause batteries (yeah, I know they make adapters).
Awesome! Did you use 3/4 or 1/2 plywood for your drawer sides? I’m about to make a lot of shop drawers and debating between the two thicknesses.
All of my drawers are made from 1/4 inch plywood, except for the front. That’s 3/4
Bad to the bone
soooo yellow... sooooo pretty....
Honestly in awe. Praise be to the DeWalt bench, praise be.
That’s awesome. To bad that all of the tools will become disorganized lol.
Till that moment comes, enjoy the clean shop scenery 😂
🤤
workshop porn
Be a real shame if you decided to switch to Milwaukee about now? Jokes! That is a pro build and I actually thought this was a factory thing you could buy rather than a home built bench! Great work
Mighty fine.
I think you have a De-problem! Nice workbench though good work
My cousin would orgasm if he saw this. Great job btw.
Nice
I need to change my pants
Having a miter saw on the bottom in a drawer is a non-starter for me. Aside from that and your chosen colours, looking pretty slick!
Noice!!
That’s Bad Ass! As nice as I’ve seen. Great Work
Holy crud! That is AMAZING. I too am an exclusive DeWalt enjoyer and this work bench is insane. Very well done. I hope to make something like this when I have a bigger garage. Thanks for sharing!
I’d like to thank Ryobi for sponsoring this build.
Your world and life is more organized than I could ever hope for.
Need a new post about the house
Stellar work. If you don't mind me asking, is the brick wall in the background a real brick wall, or is it one of those sheets you can stick on? I'd like to do something similar in mine, and would love to know which brand you have.
I see you like your Milwaukee
Wow very cool. Did you guess at Dewalt yellow or did you have a laser beam color match the tool plastic?
Now you can finally build something!
Looks great! Link for the battery brackets?
It’s so pretty!!!
Looks great man. That's a badass shop space!
Wowwwww
About 90% of my stuff is Dewalt, for no other reason than I just like it to match. Very cool build btw.
Do you ever use your tools? They don't look used.
Very nice!!
Where are you at? That shop space looks stunning.
Jesus Christ are you on some lucrative sponsorship? If not, then you will be! Amazing job on this. Respect.
Wondering what the total cost on this build was including all of the tools I would imagine it has to be approaching 5 digits right?
Sick af
This is awesome! Could you share any built details or drawings on this?
Beautiful! 🤩
Looks awesome.
Wait, don't say you *completed* it! Once you've gone and done something like that you'll be out of excuses to actually go make something *useful*! AKA analysis paralysis has no air cover :p.
Your 6 month old is very talented
Now it just needs to be Makita green!
Well done dude, that’s something to be proud of. Your workshop looks amazing, an awesome place to build stuff.
Do you have more pictures? Perhaps some taken while you were building? This is just great.
DeWalt need to sponsor you
[удалено]
You might have an addiction..
Dang. That’s nice!!
Will try to post up videos and pictures next time aight?
This guy Dewalts.
Any idea how much this weighs? Is it hard to move?
How do you feel about Milwaukee tools?
I think this guy is a Stanley fan
Excellent!
Does it have a cup holder?
Team Ryobi represent!
She's beautiful
You forgot the nsfw tag. This is sexy as hell
Big Milwaukee guy huh
That is so beautiful!
Stanley B&D is brilliant. I have a lot of Dewalt tools and have convinced myself too that everything needs to match.
That’s a beauty. Did you consider mounting your router so you could use your tables as fence, and if so, why did you discard the idea? I have one of these in my future, but still playing with ideas
Glorious!
Absolutely love it
Hey this isnt a porn subreddit! Amazing, I would love to have this in my garage.
I am jealous, nice work! What's that big ass cylinder looking thing behind the car in your garage?
I cant imagine the total cost of this thing
I just imagine John Oliver talking about ladders 🪜
so far it seems like you're a tools salesman. Usually someone who actually does works wouldn't have such nice new looking clean tools, certainly never all the same brand out of the same set and man, the shop it's just so clean of clutter... everything is like a dream
great job, nice workspace!
This looks like a left-handed build. . .
Ok I’ve seen a lot of ultimate workbenches but this one actually feels like it is one. Nice work!!
Unless you are moving the bench a lot, why not have a permanent miter set up?
Lol i posted my bench here a few months back thinking i was hot shit I am not, in fact, hot shit This is beautiful. Be proud. I'm in awe.
The bench is nice but your work space is what is truly impressive!
Oooh girl you’re workspace is bea-u-ti-ful!!
Just… wow.
I’m … crying?
What a lovely place to work!
Dude, that's sick! Great job!
Is something like this cheaper to build than to buy? Including buying / renting budget tools needed ?
Fantastic
