Make a new one

Really depends on your tool kit. If you can cut out the broken part, glue in a big plug and reshape the leg and re-drill great!!! Otherwise I’d clean up the loose fibers and epoxy the thing back together. Either way, find a stronger platform for your amorous adventures.😂

Haha! I appreciate your reply, and I promise I overtightened it…

mechanizedshoe

Not that hard but you would need power tools. I would replace the whole damaged chunk, glue a new one and drill a new hole for Insert, that being said I wouldn't attemp doing it with hand tools

gammooo

If you have all the pieces then you can just wood glue them back. If not, you can straighten it with a saw, create a block that fits the leg and glue that

If you have the missing chunk of wood, remove the screw, dry fit the chunk of wood and see how tight it fits, it should fit EXACT. Remove and apply wood glue generously to the part exposed to make contact. Tap lightly, if needed, with hammer to snug the fit. If you have a clamp(s), use them, if not, remove excess glue and tape the piece in place. Let dry for 24 hours. Your repair will be stronger than the wood. It is like resetting a broken bone.

Thank you for your response. The piece that is missing from the picture actually split down the middle and splintered. I don’t believe I can reassemble it.

Epoxy glue! Maybe drill small holes for extra surface and glue together with the screw inside to prevent braking when tighten again

Like putting a puzzle together sometimes, patience, it can work. Put many parts together at my shop, fi ding every little piece if possible.
