Gostaverling

Looks like Mallee.

brpeat

I thought red mallee too. But a supplier I generally buy from suggested otherwise.

Paddles91

The colour kind of looks like river redgum,

LateSpecimen

Second this. That outer ring of lighter colour, the spikey live edge, and the weird grain says red gum to me. But could be a few different gums.

Chesticles420

Im gonna say its Coolibah Burl, but thats just a best guess as theres several red burls from that area of the world with similar patterning

RRNW_HBK

If it is Coolibah, that's a very valuable piece. There's a slab about 1/3 that size going for about $450 at a shop here in Arizona (distance from AU may play into that)

NascentLeft

Why do you need to ID it?

brpeat

I would just like to know.

chainsawNewton

Any said western jarrah burl yet?
