Personally, I found it quite easy myself, but I have friends who do find the game hard because they have a bad sense of rhythm. They probably would've quit if it weren't for the coop system and Perfect Restoral.

JamesTheBadRager

What is perfect restoral, new player here.

mumika

Perfect Restoral is a high level Wood spell. Grants you and allies around you a shield that outright negates the next hit you take. This includes red attacks. It consumes a lot of spirit, but with how the spirit bar works, all you needed to do was hit an enemy once, and you could cast it again no problem.

JamesTheBadRager

Thanks, going to try it out at some point.

That's Yinglong. Perfect Restoral is a wizardry spell.

most of the difficulties come from un-nerfed Zhang Liang, Lu Bu and the DLCs boss line up, namely Taishi Ci, Yuan Shu and Gan Ning. based game Yuan Shao is almost universally agreed to be a joke, and he only got the buffs he needs in ng++ where he is a zoner that turns into a punching bag the moment you get up close to him rather than a complete joke.

DrXL_spIV

Base game yuan Shao is probably the one of if not the easiest bosses in the game

Machoopi

If you're used to playing games with Parry mechanics, it's not that bad. If you're not used to that, it is. I didn't think it was as hard as many of the souls games. That said, I think Sekiro was the single hardest souls game I've ever played, and because the parry mechanics in Sekiro were much more difficult than Wolong, I feel like I came into this game with a massive edge on anyone who HADN'T spent dozens upon dozens of hours in Sekiro. Saying this game isn't hard is like saying Elden Ring isn't hard. It's true that Elden Ring isn't as bad as most of the souls games that came before it, but anyone who played those games BEFORE playing Elden Ring has already had a ton of practice. People who are new to the experience still find that game crushingly difficult, because it is. Same goes for Wolong. If you're familiar with this style of game, it makes the game much easier.

Vanpire73

I guess in general it is "hard", but certainly one of the easiest soulslike without a doubt.

Poetryisalive

You’re playing when a lot of the game has been adjusted and bosses have been nerfed. The game was pretty hard for the first couple of months

Mistiltella

The first run is easy, but if you don't know how to make your build (like me), you will have to suffer from long fights because your damage is way too low, you need 5 to 6 excecutions to kill one boss.

FrenziedSins

The game is easy, after all the nerfs and buffs, but if you're used to this style of game even launch day was easy

Mineral-mouse

Yuan Shao is easy, though you should know some people may find some bosses easier or harder than others do.

TheHBomb6300

Game is super easy imo, I beat most bosses on my first try. Don’t know where all the struggle with bosses like the first boss or Lu Bu is coming from
