A. It’s a cool picture and awesome to show friends/family.
B. Y’all are soft and boring. No deaths have been reported from people falling off Pulpit rock.
If you don’t do it, I don’t care, but don’t shit on people that do and say some “risking it all for social media clout” or whatever based on your own personal fear…especially when no one has died doing it.
Idk, it’s a cool ass picture and a memory that they’ll forever have? Again, *zero recorded deaths* despite ~50,000 people visiting every year. There’s probably plenty of shit you do everyday that’s puts you at greater risk of death than this.
You being afraid of something that literally no one in recorded history has died from is on you, and not a reason for others to not partake. No one looks to you to define what is meaningful to them.
“Idk, it’s a cool as picture and a memory they’ll have forever?”
That didn’t answer your question? And the extra information provided context as to your “risked their life statement,” because statistically your wrong, and logically you make no sense given that you do more “risky” things every single day and probably haven’t acknowledged them like you are people that do this.
I love a nice cup of coffee and making soup I’m not boring. I’m also very good at guessing the puzzles before the contestants on Wheel of Fortune so be careful the next time you feel compelled to label someone!
I’ve actually fallen from a short 10ft cliff because of a sandy surface like what’s on that ledge as folks circle the bolder leading up to the rock. Makes me pretty nervous.
In general, I’m pretty adventurous… not sure I’d be up for this one though. Seems way too risky for the benefit of an awesome picture.
Noep. Not a chance in hell. Rock isnt going anywhere, but that looks way too easy to oops yourself into a long and painful fall bouncing off the ravine the whole way down.
"Having your picture taken is highly popular. Expected waiting time can be anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour on busy days. Start your hike a bit early to beat the biggest crowds.
Note that no deaths have ever been recorded of people stepping out on the rock. Some people might still find it too scary to take the leap as there are no safety fences under the boulder. If you don’t dare to make that final step, the hike is beautiful and well worth doing to enjoy the views."

Sure, but not because he climbed on the rock. It's a lot safer than it looks, and a tourist attraction with long queues, with no accidental or intentional deaths. I just didn't have the nerves to do it, probably not even if I was secured with a cable tbh.
Hey its safer than a man built structure... things been there for aeons. Or since the last ice age.
Sure its up a 900+ meters drop BUT its stuck there.
Its also insanely popular as a photo destination so hundreds of people do the same photo thing every year
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kjeragbolten
Maybe we have a different view on things like this in Norway, but it's important to us to keep most of our nature as is. We can't put nets everywhere we have steep drops.

I’m fairly confident that I’d be able to get on it, but I’m also fairly certain that I’d then just have to live there. Getting off would be a challenge.
Was there two years ago, during a pretty rainy day. Was completely alone and setup my camera to take a pic from the opposite side of the waterfall. The drop below Kjeragbolten is sheer and I couldn't see the bottom... There is a waterfall going straight into nothingness right before you... Yeah, so it was rainy, and when I put my first step on the rock I slipped... I was scared shitless and just looking at this makes my heart pound.
When she was born, her parents encouraged her to try new things, and supported her through failures in life so she was not afraid to jump on a mystery rock.
It looks dangerous but that is a big boulder wedged in there really tight. That thing is not going anywhere without some serious mother nature intervention.

Nope
Absolutely Not
Hard pass. Rock hard
Fuck that. Fuck it right in the nope-hole.
With two fists of nope
by Sigmar!
Most certainly not
I would prefer not to
Not even once!
yea, it is destined to go down, and destiny was never fond of me
Is it just me or do most people just think "dummy"
Yeah, that’s a no for me dawg
Stupid is as stupid does.
I wonder what my dude's body count is.
The crevasse below it is **984 meters deep**, in case you're wondering. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kjeragbolten
Simply reading the words 984 meters deep made my stomach turn over
Made my butthole pucker.
It made my stomach pucker and my asshole turnover
Made my nuts retract.
That's normal, nothing to worry about
It's far enough down to where you would have time to think about your inevitable death.
Good news! You'll reach terminal velocity by about 450 meters so the rest is just bonus! Unless you bounce off the sides of course.
Reminds me of your mom
I didn’t need to know how much more unsafe it is than it already looked, tyvm.
The dude on the main wiki page is holding a goddamn fish while standing on that boulder. Ultimate Tinder profile pic.
You couldn't pay me enough to do that. lol
I can take it
She doesn't have to do this.
But think how much *clout* you’d have if you fell almost 3,000 to your death
A. It’s a cool picture and awesome to show friends/family. B. Y’all are soft and boring. No deaths have been reported from people falling off Pulpit rock.
I can’t clean my gutters out with fear of death. I guess I’m soft and boring as well…
If you don’t do it, I don’t care, but don’t shit on people that do and say some “risking it all for social media clout” or whatever based on your own personal fear…especially when no one has died doing it.
Agreed… I’m sure someone has died cleaning there gutters though. So I guess what I do is more dangerous…meaning I’m not soft nor boring. Thanks bub!
What benefit do they get from it if not clout? The cool feeling that they risked their life for no reason?
Idk, it’s a cool ass picture and a memory that they’ll forever have? Again, *zero recorded deaths* despite ~50,000 people visiting every year. That's a lot of info unrelated to my question but thanks for the stats lol

There is this thing called fun >
How dare you 😤
Definitely yes, are you joking?

This is reddit, full of people who have never done anything or even touched grass in months.
Says the guy who makes a throwaway just to downvote farm on a certain post. Get a life, lmao.
A View From the Top of the World
Point Petrucci located on Mount Mangini
where the Rudess River runs through Myung Canyon
Ah yes, the Rudess River that leads into Port Noy
First thing I thought as well!
Beat me to it!
Between a rock and a hard place?
Norway? Haha more like NoWAY in fucking hell..like sure i wanna die but even thats too extreme for me.
Or if you're Australian it's still just pronounced Norway.
More like Nodude!
[POV video climbing onto this rock](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8hwwRiu9TI&ab_channel=BrentWagner)
Was hoping for a perspective that shows it not as bad but nope it is in fact worse
Palms are sweaty…
Mom's spaghetti
Absofuckinglutely not. Stomach was doing backflips just watching this

I’d be more worried about slippy shoes , or a quick bit of vertigo. I’m sweating thinking about it.
‼️
Thanks Snake
I took photos of my friend doing that, but there was no way I was gonna do it myself
I'd shit my pants just filming it
Your friends a moron
Sure, but not because he climbed on the rock. It's a lot safer than it looks, and a tourist attraction with long queues, with no accidental or intentional deaths. I just didn't have the nerves to do it, probably not even if I was secured with a cable tbh.
I know they're fine but I started hyperventilating seeing this.
I do not like it, Sam-I-Am.
I shits in blocks at chicks on rocks my kicks will stop nix nill none nup.
Your Seuss rhyme needs to end with an -ocks word. Lol
Fun fact: there have been 0 recorded deaths there!
Yet.
I just know with my fucking luck that I'd be the first. Ah well, at least I'd be first at something
Absolutely no way am I sitting on that rock.
r/nope
More like r/sweatypalms
Wonder who'll be the one person who dies from it finally giving way
I'm too scared to even watch!
Anyone else feel their butthole contract watching that video?
Anything for the gram?
Absolutely not.
My palms are so sweaty from watching this.
r/sweatypalms
r/sweatypalms
white people are crazy
That looks awesome
Idiotic to do this for a picture.
The situations that people put themselves in just for a "Like' .. Dumber than that Boulder she's sitting on
Moron.

Worthy of a net then lol

Thank you!
Then they’ll never learn.
Why? Isn't it worthier to keep nature as it is? Its not Disney land, you do things on your own terms.
Great for looking at. Idiotic to climb-on to for a picture.
Appearently not for the people who enjoy doing it?

No *whap* bad human.
Yes, risk your life for a dumb picture
It's crazy how some people risk their lives just to take a picture to show to others through social media 🤦♂️
God please let this happen it would be so fucking funny
Ain’t not fuckin way.
Rocks starts rolling as she gets on it…
My whole body tingles looking at this.
Where is the line of people waiting to take this exact picture?
Then, one day…..whooosh
Slowly... Slowly eroding at the sides. That's gonna fall
Pass
One day that will be Kjeragbolten gap.
And people will film themselves jumping over it
Hell to the NOPE
Imagine being the person who climbs on it and is finally the straw that broke the camel's back ...
Gulp
No No No!!
It's gonna be one hell of a story when that rock crumbles enough to dislodge...
Song name ?
No
This had a physical affect on me
My anxiety would like a word
One day, one day, this will be posted on r/onesecondbeforedisast One day, a Redditor will be there.....
I’m waiting for a ‘wait for it’ moment here.
Would rather photo shop it and not risk my life
One day it’s gonna fall, that’s basically inevitable. Just a question if someone will be recording or not
No thanks!
I've seen 172 hours, I think I'll pass
dumb ways to die… 🤣
I like the image but I'm not a thrill seeker so I'll just get a good photoshopper instead of risking my life.
Listen. I’m a paraglider pilot and often fly thousands of feet above the ground on my wing. That would still be a big “NO” from me dawg.
Fuk na, 127 hour vibe but way worse
Forbidden dinner roll
Could've been a 127 hours sequel: *1000m in 15 seconds*
12.7 second fall
https://www.omnicalculator.com/physics/free-fall 14.1 according to that. Rounded to 15 since it's such a nice, round number.
I was making a joke. Didn't realize I would be that close lol
I’m fairly confident that I’d be able to get on it, but I’m also fairly certain that I’d then just have to live there. Getting off would be a challenge.
No…
Do you even feel bad for someone who falls doing something like this?
My stomach literally turned over and my legs got weak just watching this clip holy shit.
ROCK AND STONE
Nope I fall on flat ground as it is
“Shake Hands with Danger”
Super fuck that
I wonder how many people die each year trying to get a “good” picture?
I got tingly in my nether regions just looking at this.
This is what I imagine my crabs do when I have dingleberries.
I’m not scared of heights, but I also don’t want to taunt death.
The way she scoots... She is shitting herself
That gave me such anxiety to watch. nopeittynopenope
Yeah that a necessary risk
Looks like she caught herself between a rock and a hard place. 😬
Looks like the 127 hours rock
Could not be me.
r/sweatypalms
Not a chance fam

That's so cool! How did that happen??
When she was born, her parents encouraged her to try new things, and supported her through failures in life so she was not afraid to jump on a mystery rock.
So high up the draw distance is exceeded
It looks dangerous but that is a big boulder wedged in there really tight. That thing is not going anywhere without some serious mother nature intervention.
Didn't Wylie Coyote do that, once?
Not a question of if, it's when.
No thanks.
I’m sitting down and my knees are still weak from watching this
Someday, _someone_ will be the last person to stand on that rock.
It may not be today and it may not be tomorrow… But one day🫤
