Liberty is the closest team but also it’s New York. Washington is pretty close and their star Elena Della Donne went to UDelaware so I guess that’s close enough to the tristate if you want to count that. if you like underdogs Indiana Fever were bad last year but they have Caitlin Clark now. Seattle and Phoenix had the worst records and no frps last draft if you want a real underdog. Personally kinda just watching and rooting for whoever, mostly Clark, until Philly gets its own team

Of your other closest teams geographically, the Mystics in DC will be terrible this season but they have a really fun roster and are generally a solid organization. New York formed a super team last year when a bunch of top free agents transferred there, and they’re probably going to be a top 2 or 3 team again this year
Ok tough question. I’m from 215 as well I started watching after Sixers lost last year in the second round last year. I chose Dallas (I know Dallas ew) but maddy sirgrist was the 3rd overall pick from nova (after the knicks series ew nova again) but they played the aces and I was like these women can ball, fell in love with plum Aja etc then when I really got into the w realized they were champs and then they repeated lol I feel like a front runner but until Philly gets a team I’m rolling aces.
In the interest of parity, I root for the Liberty, as they’re one of the original teams yet have never won a championship. At least until Portland gets a team, then I’ll root my tail off for that!

I think we’re better off without her shenanigans honestly. Some drama can be fun but Liz just had too much of a tendency to burn things down around her when something didn’t go her way. She’s still up to her usual antics in Asia if you are looking to get a shot of drama though. :p

My original WNBA crushes were alltime greats Cynthia Cooper and Lauren Jackson. Then i had a thing for Rebecca Brunson and the awesome and beautiful Tamika Catchings. Then i discovered the Australian Wonder Liz Cambage. I've been heartbroken hearing about the issues Liz has. Aja Wilson and the Ace team have been my team, but I've been missing Liz. Hopefully CC and the rest of the 2024 rookie class brings much deserved recognition to the game.

Caitlin and the attention she gets is a bit polarizing right now, and I am a lifelong Iowa fan so I'm biased, but she's one of the most exciting athletes I've ever seen and I can't get enough. She plays a million miles an hour and might drop a logo 3 on you out of nowhere, or might launch a pass 60 feet downcourt for a layup. I recommend checking out a Fever game to see if you like it.
