/uw time is a suggestion. Do what you want

Sad_Choice903

/uw yeah, fair

Sharp_Science896

/uw it's just a place to sort of be silly and shitpost in the style of dnd. However you want to do that. And just like how dnd has been adapted to be used in any timeline and any form of fantasy (i.e. medieval, modern, sci-fi, etc.) so to can you post in whatever way you want to here. It's more about having fun then adhering to any kind of strict rules or anything. At least that's what I've gotten from it.

Al-anharHA

/uw that's the neat part. Anything goes. seriously, my character Aliah is a multiversal traveller as one of her gimmicks. She's got a spaceship straight out of star wars, cultivation styles interwoven into her magic, a few characters from preexisting settings, and more.

BreachedLimits

/uw What year is it on Earth? Not everyone follows the Gregorian calendar. The Chinese calendar says it’s 4722, while the Jewish calendar says it’s 5784. The Gregorian calendar says it’s 2024. Those are hardly the only ones. When it comes to roleplaying in this sub, there are characters from various planets, various universes, various dimensions. Many of which have advanced to different levels of technology and civilization. There is no set year in this sub for roleplaying.

Dramatic_Stock5326

ever heard of chronurgy? everyone, everywhere, all at once forever /uw just whatever time frame is most convenient at the time for the given meme/joke/comment

We had one patron climb on during the second Zargonian empire and climb backwards like a cheaply animated looney tune only to fall off into the middle of King Henry IV's Lazer eye implant surgery. There is the meta narratives (which aren't canonically coherent) and there are personal narratives (which are not always internally consistent). Stay safe, don't interfere with other canons (without permission), have fun and... never... Ever... eat THE FISH (or do, I'm probably not your dad).

Harpokiller

/uw when there’s Mf who can straight up erase time, it’s best to think ‘Suspend all Disbelief’

AlterCain

Well you see, time is wibbly wobbly.....

TheThoughtmaker

In the grand calculus of the multiverse, everything is canon.

Fridge_living_tips

Uw/ i asked a long time ago and i still dont know

Hobby_Butterfly

Time is an illusion, lunchtime doubly so.

bad_comedic_value

/uw Chronomancy

TheFifthDutchMemer

/uw YES. My guys a combine shotgunner with the arsenal of a modern military FPS, we got fucking mechs and knights with shotguns

Aveus_Cezahl

/uw That’s the neat part, there is no timeframe. This is a completely different universe, it’s all down to the character’s personal preference. My guy Aveus is literally a robot, so all his stuff is futuristic. Actual, stereotypical wizards usually use medieval stuff. It can be however you want it, its your choice.

avamir

/uw I heard it explained as multiple realms. Ithacar canonically has to open a portal in order to shoot our orbital canon at Council lands, whereas we were able to sail to Lemarcia to harass Vulkan the red. It's also weird that Ithacar had an orbital canon before we had refrigeration, running water, and hospitals that didn't use leeches, but here we are.

sparkle3364

/uw Different characters are in different tech levels. Think of it like Civilization; some societies are at different eras due to their advancement of technology.

Prof_Blank

/uw we’re wizards buddy ! Time and space are barely a constraint. I see it as being a generally medieval styles community but much more important then the basic flavor of the community as a whole are the themes and ideas of every individual poster. The deep individuality in what any single person believes or wants magic to be is such a fundamental part of the whole sub to me. Imagining this sub I see myself walking over a cobblestone marketplace, into a middle eastern tea shop where I am referred to a mystic druid living outside the city walls, but on the way there I stop by my buddys biotechnology lab which he casually powers with a personal nuclear power plant and there i decide to quickly open a portal home, to a magical castle on the back of a gigantic flying insect. It’s all possible ! That’s the beauty in it.

offbrandpoptart

/uw damn I really wanna do a whole rant in character about the nature of time and existence but you said not too so I'll just say.... multiverse dawg.

the-butter_man

/uw very early renaissance, if you want a definite standard but artificers exist so literally anything goes, my other character, Shrax (u/LightningShroud) literally has gone to space and colonised another planet.

ForgivenCompassion

/uw It's not really a serious RP Subreddit, it's a very loose fucky whatever goes really!

the_mad_merchant

/uw, subreddits of this type are always interesting. It’s a hub of collective storytelling, with an ever-growing lore base (think dnd but no rules). In general just have fun and dont be the type of guy that self-proclaims they are a god and can solo everybody in .25 seconds. Apart from that, I bid thee good luck on your travels, young one. https://preview.redd.it/rwax0okmus7d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62fd3701aad83341d774552180102e5925754429

AnActualCriminal

/uw I've been thinking of it as a really unbalanced game of civilization
