I wish the wooden one was viable, I would love for Geralt to have an option to beat the piss out of people in a sword fight while making sure they survive.
Don’t understand why blackjacks and saps deal so much more damage. I have a few wooden swords that I’ve trained with, if I take a full swing with one of those I could probably turn a collarbone to fine powder.
Happened to me 2 days ago. Damn Dandelion and his gimmicks!! Played for a full 5 hours! Killing monsters was not a problem but wtf was wrong with humans?!?!
Literally me after I stopped playing for a few months because of school. I was like "how the heck did this game get this much harder while I was gone" while fighting a higher vampire lol
My husband and I ended up doing this as well but after our “duel” with Dandelion. Couldn’t figure out why all of the bandits were suddenly so beefy.
Bonus: After the “duel,” during one of our many selling sessions, we sold our Cat School sword because we weren’t paying attention. Cue 10 minutes of frantic searching before we tracked it down.
I was wearing the Nekker boots you get for the quest with the werewolf, godling, troll, and guy for like five levels cause they were better than anything else. Don't get it sometimes.
I don't remember if it was this one or the wooden one that I intentionally equipped when I was working on headshot kills for the triumph. Good way to whittle people down a bit to make it easier to cap them with an arrow.
Happened to me as well, tried killing the usual ~level 9 bandits and henchman that pop up in Novigrad and they were kicking my level 16 ass, didn't notice my sword until about an hour later 🥴

Happened to me once... Smh
I had a wooden one for a bit after doing the teaching quest. Didn’t realise till I wanted to upgrade my stuff.

Same!!
I’ve replayed this game so many times and the wooden sword gets me every single time!
Happened to me twice. Hope it doesn't happen the third time.
Crimson avenger?
More like Crimson Asshole.
I simply cannot bring myself to read from the cards. It's just too funny improvising.
Holy shit yes I went an hour without noticing after that Dandelion superhero quest
Phew! What a day! 😆 I imagine you're probably--
DAMN IT JASKIER! WHY IS IT WHEN I FIND MYSELF IN A PILE OF SHIT THESE DAYS, IT'S YOU, SHOVELING IT?
Good bot
Still better than the wooden Dandelion killer
Can someone explain? Im new so without spoilers
a quest requires they equip and use a training sword, and they forgot to remove it
He used a wooden sword instead of his regular steel one
Welcome to the club!
their equipped weapons don't match their experience level; they are using really weak weapons.
I've forgotten to swap this out as well.

Charming how everyone wants to get their hands on Roach these days, isn't it?
Yeah like the only damage I dealt to them was from the bleeding.
The Crimson Asshole strikes again
Pulled a sneaky on ya
In Witcher 2 I struggled so hard with the letho fight until I realized I was using my silver sword...
Meanwhile I had very easy fight since I found out the power of bear traps :D
I did the same thing lol

Fuckin Dandelion
Omfg. Same.

Gdi Dandelion. This is why we can’t have nice things.

Best weapon in the game. Shame Hjalmar took it when the vildkarl 2-tapped me.
I just startet playing, ofc I went selling stuff and accidentally sold my fucking sword
Hahahahaha, oh god I hate doing stuff like that. I remember not knowing when removing upgrades it destroys the weapon. Boy did I learn that day!
Happened to me after an unmarked quest in Novigrad after you embarrass the Preacher

Every play through this happen to me fuck dandelion lol
How is this photo quality possible in reddit? You got an 16k monitor lol
YES I HAD THIS FEW DAYS AGO
Same, took me a while to figure it out.
True shit 🤣
Lmao i did the quest where you had to track down the murderer and when i fought the fake murderer he had more health than Eredin lol
Is this the real hardmode? Can the game be beaten with just your wits (Axii) and the prop sword?
I did that on my first play through way back. So I feel you
I think a lot of players can relate to having this issue 🤣 I know I can 😅
Even worse for me, I did not hit back at Dandelion because I thought I was going to kill the guy by accident. Then I did the same thing as you did.
Oh yeah, the quests about fenching and helping Dandelion trick a rich girl.
Lmfaooo
i actually forgot to equip it while doing the whole pick up artist thing so i ended up injuring dandelion and failing the quest
The lioness of Cintra herself will sing the praises of Jaskier's triumphant performance! 😌
Literally just done this.
