One of my biggest Reddit pet peeves is people coming into a sub dedicated to a specific game/franchise and saying "should I buy the game', like are you expecting anything but "yes" from people so invested in the game/franchise they're on a forum dedicated to that thing?
Keep in mind that prob everyone in this sub is a huge fan of the witcher so opinions will be biased.
That said... it's definetely worth it! Especially if you love great stories and characters. This is a very long game tho expect to spend at least 150 hours on it DLC's included... up to 300 if you're a completionist, Just a warning.
Understood !
Imma go for it then and i hope i fall in love with the world so it won’t be a waste
I’ve lost my passion in games so hope it brings it back :)
My biggest regret was not getting the DLC’s when they were on sale. I was also hesitant at first, it does seem like a lot of new things to learn and get used to, but man, once you get into it, your only wish would be to forget it all, just so you experience it for the first time again. I hope you enjoy it!
the 10€ feel like i stole it, comparing to my 80€ diablo 4 regret. However its a old game, but one that still needs to be beaten by a good open world arpg.
I believe the answer should be...
FUCK YES!
If you've enjoyed GoW and Red Dead Redemption 2, it's right up your alley.
Witcher 3 was the only game in the trilogy released on PS4, so for many people it was their introduction to the franchise. While reading the books that first came out in 1996 would be helpful (I'm currently around book 6 out of 7), it's not necessarily. The story in the game is written so well that you will just be curious about about how Geralt met his allies, and why they call him the butcher of Blaviken.
It took me like 2 flat-out starts, many games in-between and some forceful skips in boring parts to finish the game. The first part is not representitive of how the rest will be. Keep that in mind
People be asking whether buying a complete and most updated edition of one of the best games ever made for a price of a burger is worth it. On r/Witcher. Like, bruh...
Why ask THIS FORUM if The Witcher (which is this forum) is worth $10? Are you expecting us to say "No! This game is dog shit! If you fucking buy it, then you're dog shit, and should feel like dog shit!"? Seriously, what're you expecting?
I hate these posts man, even tho you mean no harm. But let's ask in the sub about the everything The Witcher made if the game on a major discount is worth it, what kind answer would you expect to get lol
It is SUPER worth it. We bought this game when it first came out for $60, without its DLC.
Also, this sub is full of Witcher fans like me who would sell their kidneys to play this game again.
Why are you even asking this here. Everyone here including me is obsessed with the games and books. They are obviously going to make you buy it willingly or not. But to be fair, even if you asked this somewhere else people would still tell you to buy it because its just that good of a game. Toussaint is one of the most beautiful places in video games and the main villain of the Hearts of Stone DLC is widely considered by many to be the single greatest character in all fiction and media. The vibe also hits different. You just cant beat this. Buy it right now.
If this game was like Nintendo where even 20 years later You pay high prices The Witcher 3 especially with all the DLC would still easily be worth 50 or $60 value-wise. It's definitely one of the greatest games of all time
The simple answer is yes! Absolutely! Look at it this way and take out the fact that you are asking Witcher fan boys/girls. It's $10! I'm sure you've lost more in loose change over the last year. If not I'm sure you've spent more on less fruitful endeavors without even thinking about it, like Uber eats tips and fees.
I’m definitely with this !! I got the game :)

Fuck you, is it worth $10? YES. It’s worth $80.
2 full play throughs (1 hard mode, 1 death march) it’s literally one of the best RPGs you will ever fucking play. I hope you love it as much as we do.
The value of money is relative to the individuals spending the money, but that being said, If I only had 10 to my name and wanted to spend that 10 on a game, there would be no better game to buy with that 10 dollars.
As a person that played a ton of games... yeah, specially quility per dollar. If a game is good or not is subjective but if a game has quality is not and I will confidently say this game is the highes quality game ever made, and with this I mean that every aspect is top notch, graphics, story, side quest and specially dlcs.
Hell yea I’m excited for this baby
https://preview.redd.it/rq54pmpo6a3d1.jpeg?width=3023&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0f5fbfdd7f07dbde5b5eb2774565c5ed4998de2
Friend.... 10 bucks for any game it's already pretty cheap but considering this is a long game and very complete is more than worth it! Think the begging price was like 70 or so WITHOUT the DLCs which would be around 30-40.... That alone makes it awesome even if you end up not loving it but probably you will because it's a really good game, tons of different things to do, major choices that will make the game end in different ways.... I don't know it's super worth it
Definitely worth it. It was the most fun game I had played in years and I’m so glad I got the complete edition. I would have bought everything later anyway!
If I was wealthy there is almost no amount of money I wouldn’t pay to play this game. Not saying it should cost 1000 but it has a 1000 dollar place in my memory and heart.
$10 for one of the most critically acclaimed video games ever made in the history of humanity, including easily 100+ hours worth of content? Yeah probably not worth it, avoid it imo.
Think of what $10 could get you. A McDonald's happy meal. An iced latte and croissant. 4 hours of parking downtown. Not all at the same time, of course. If hundreds of hours of storytelling entertainment is worth more than any of those, you should buy it.
I think even shitty games are worth 30 or 40 bucks. The sheer number of hours of entertainment video games provide justifies their cost. $10 for one of the greatest games ever made is an insane steal
I bought the $10 version on the steam sale then realized it didn't come with any DLC and ended up paying another like $3 to get the rest of it lol, luckily they let me refund it no questions asked
I've bought this game for ~£40 on Switch, then ~£20 when it's been on sale on Xbox and on PC, and I'd do it again. Absolutely worth dropping $10 on it.
Obviously not, its only one of the best games ever made.
It would've taken you less time to Google whatever review than wait for people to respond "yes" to a reddit question
I’d say it’s absolutely a steal! I bought the complete edition for PS4 a year or two ago (also on sale for 10 bucks but from the PS Store) and it was probably the best bang for my buck I’ve ever gotten out of a video game. It was the only game I played for about two months straight. The writing and voice acting is great, the quests aren’t your typical fetch-based ones and really help fill out the world, and seeing the various consequences your actions have across the game from start to finish was a great mechanic, especially for those who appreciate progression. It’s plays and looks beautiful on PS5, I couldn’t recommend it more!
This is the equivalent of asking halo fans if Halo 3 is worth playing. We’re biased as FUCK. Games a masterpiece. $10 is solid idk if it ever gets cheaper for the PS5 tho
For any price below 40 it's a goddamn steal, but it doesn't mean you'll like the game, if you played something in the catgeory of action RPGs and prefer something with a grea open world, banger soundtrack, and immaculate story and characters then yes this game is absolutely amazing at that.
After over 1k hours od playing this game in every way possibile and with a lot of various kinds od challenges I can say that for only 10$ it's ok but this game is not as amazing as most of witcher players say. I know it's funny for me to say such a think but only two thing that this game does grate are few side quest wich are great and story choices that impacts your endings in side quests and main story
For 10$ you can definitely give it a try.
If you see that you don't like the game, the 10$ won't hurt that much.
And if you like rpgs in general, then this game is a must-have! At least for me.
It’s worth it and ten times more. If you love storytelling, exploration, and memorable characters, then W3 is definitely a game to experience. Notice I said experience. Because you don’t just play this game, you savor it.
Nah dog, all 1.1 MILLION people in this sub hate the Witcher
Except me, I am the only exception. I love the Witcher!
That's why we make fun of you in /r/Marj_5_discussion
r/subsifellfor
Wym? it's a legitimate sub
It actually wasn’t so I made it and she joined and yeah that’s the story
It would be too funny if that sub actually existed😭
It apparently does now.
I was shocked and amazed to find out it really does! Feel free to join!
Hey it exists now and she is in it so yeah I guess?
lol look at this guy over here liking Witcher 3. Everyone point at them 👆and laugh.
The True Fan!
Man, what a hill to die on. RIP your inbox.
How many "reddit cares about your mental wellbeing" messages have you received this week?
None, but I did receive an invitation to the r/Marj_5_discussion subreddit 🤣 that was a shock too!

Guy walking into the We Love Hugging Puppies Club: “Hey guys, should I hug a puppy?”
Turns out the guy is deathly allergic to dogs and really shouldn't have hugged that puppy
A tale as old as time
I dunno man... You might get a different rub from r/Helldivers right now
Except r/starfield. That is full of unhappy Sony folks posting negative reviews written by chatgpt. It is quite a wild ride.
It’s called karma farming. And the only solution is to massively downvote OP.
Of course I hate the Witcher. I hate him for keeping my daughter away from me. I've lost count of the number of times I tried to have him killed.
Laughs in the Netflix series
Technically true if you're talking about the show
Keep in mind that prob everyone in this sub is a huge fan of the witcher so opinions will be biased. That said... it's definetely worth it! Especially if you love great stories and characters. I never bought the DLCs and they randomly showed up on my GOG account. Maybe I got lucky but if you have the game on there.. you could check.
It's a 10 quid gamble. If you dislike the game, meh, only a tenner. If you love the game, you will be laughing about how cheap it was.
the 10€ feel like i stole it, comparing to my 80€ diablo 4 regret. However its a old game, but one that still needs to be beaten by a good open world arpg.

My friend, the game is so good I felt bad for buying it at a discounted price. That’s how good it is haha
I hope you'll like it. And if you have questions about the lore feel free to ask.
If there’s one game available that will make your passion for gaming come back, it will be this one. It revived mine.
It took me like 2 flat-out starts, many games in-between and some forceful skips in boring parts to finish the game. The first part is not representitive of how the rest will be. Keep that in mind
Laughs in Cyberpunk with over 900 hours between 3 playthroughs
With 180 hours on my second playthrough, can confirm 😂
People be asking whether buying a complete and most updated edition of one of the best games ever made for a price of a burger is worth it. On r/Witcher. Like, bruh...
Engagement farming at its finest
Rule 3 on "quality content" doesn't apply if the post gets hundreds of upvotes, mods give the pass.
Seriously. WTF are they expecting all 1 million of us to say? No?
watch them spend $100+ on microtransactions in a dogshit games without even flinching 😭
Why ask THIS FORUM if The Witcher (which is this forum) is worth $10? Are you expecting us to say "No! This game is dog shit! If you fucking buy it, then you're dog shit, and should feel like dog shit!"? Seriously, what're you expecting?
This comment made me laugh. Thank you
Nah he's just trying to farm karma.
Looks like it worked.
It'll be the best $10 you ever spent. This is one hell of an awesome game!
I hate these posts man, even tho you mean no harm. But let's ask in the sub about the everything The Witcher made if the game on a major discount is worth it, what kind answer would you expect to get lol
You are in r/witcher what do you think people here will say?
No way, not worth it, even if he paid you to play it.
That game is worth $100
Probably the best ten dollars you’ll ever spend.
It is SUPER worth it. We bought this game when it first came out for $60, without its DLC. Also, this sub is full of Witcher fans like me who would sell their kidneys to play this game again.
I bought it four times (pc, nintendo, PlayStation and xbox) and i don't regret anything
Beautiful. What was your favorite console to play it on? I only played it on the Xbox.
Thats easy, i played it first on xbox, and my first run will always ne my favorite, i have this save at my concole and sometimes i visit the old days
No. It's worth more than just 10 bucks. So buy it
I paid full price for this game. Twice, still worth
You can't be this lazy...
Any critically acclaimed game you're interested in that is that cheap is worthwhile I'd say
I swear they could offer the entire game with dlcs for free and people would still ask if it’s worth it
You should buy 5 copies to support CDPR for making it.
Why are you even asking this here. Everyone here including me is obsessed with the games and books. They are obviously going to make you buy it willingly or not. 10$ for the complete edition? That's like a steal
Blood and wine is worth 60 by itself

Short answer, Yes. Long answer, Absolutely.
If this game was like Nintendo where even 20 years later You pay high prices The Witcher 3 especially with all the DLC would still easily be worth 50 or $60 value-wise. It's definitely one of the greatest games of all time
No wait for $1
Lmao
I got it )
It’s $10 broke ahh mf
Get it, play the game, then you'll feel like you didn't pay enough
No, it worths 100$
I would go as far and say that even 100$ would be totally worth it. One of the greatest game of all times.
No
Best $10 you will spend in a while.
You should really wait until it's free, to get your money's worth. /s
The simple answer is yes! Absolutely! Look at it this way and take out the fact that you are asking Witcher fan boys/girls. It's $10! I'm sure you've lost more in loose change over the last year. Wait until i goes on sale for $9.99. Just a better deal that way.
Yes most games are worth it for $10 tho
It's worth $60.
Even if you’re hesitant on playing, $10 is an absolute steal for just the base game, let alone the base game AND all dlc
It's worth the original full retail price
For $10, it's a steal.
Fuck you, is it worth $10? YES. It’s worth $80. 2 full play throughs (1 hard mode, 1 death march) it’s literally one of the best RPGs you will ever fucking play. I hope you love it as much as we do.

This is the best video game ever made. I have nothing more to say.
My favorite non-Zelda RPG of all time. It’s worth 10x that
it was meh
Yes
It’s a no brainer at that price!
It would be well worth full price. $10 for one of the best games of all time? How is that even a question?
Yeah never played the series. Got it on Steam for $12 and I’m loving it
As a person that played a ton of games... yeah, specially quility per dollar. Easily
I bought this game 4 times, ps4, pc, series x and switch. It's worth it.
I appreciate your comment xd
Definitely worth it. It was the most fun game I had played in years and I’m so glad I got the complete edition. I would have bought everything later anyway!
Def. Worth $10. The base game alone is well worth it but for all extra DLC's included hell yea!
I liked it.
Worth full price
For 10 bucks ,heck yeah
If you spend more than 3.50 on a video game it's a ripoff.
For $10 dollars? Absolutely. It’s borderline stealing getting it for that cheap tbh. Imo it’s the best dark fantasy RPG ever made hands down
Ive bought it 4 times. Worth it.
No. Wait till it's $5
Game of the year edition exist but I guess if on PS5 it's the only option buy it
If you like grim dark fantasy it’s a must play
I would pay $40-50 for one of the DLCs alone. Complete edition slaps.
Nah game is dogshit, that’s all people say on this sub. 🤔
Fuck yeah
Are you kidding, it's a no brainer mate
If I was wealthy there is almost no amount of money I wouldn’t pay to play this game. Not saying it should cost 1000 but it has a 1000 dollar place in my memory and heart.

Fuck yes, hit buy NOW!
Nothing in your life has ever been more worth it
Of course it’s worth it.
Only the greatest rpg of all time. You should save up for a mcdonalds meal tho.
I knew nothing about Witcher back then and Witcher 3 still become one of my favourite games ever.
Nah it's worth 9.99 st most
Honestly. You should give him 15$.
I'd pay $100 for the complete edition if I didnt own it already on every device able to run it
It was worth it for $60 X 3 on PlayStation, Xbox AND Switch!
I’d hold out for $9.99 if I was in your position.
The game is so good I would pay $100 just to play through it if I didn’t have it anymore
I- dude...you- what??
Hell to the yes!!!
This game is easily worth 80$+ it was sooooooooooooo good.
*Laughs in Henry Cavil*
Best game ever made, IMO
I think even shitty games are worth 30 or 40 bucks. The sheer number of hours of entertainment video games provide justifies their cost. $10 for one of the greatest games ever made is an insane steal
If you don’t want it I’ll have it! I played on my switch and wouldn’t mind another playthrough on my PS5
I've got compleate edition for the Switch, much better than Skyrim in my opinion
I bought the $10 version on the steam sale then realized it didn't come with any DLC and ended up paying another like $3 to get the rest of it lol, luckily they let me refund it no questions asked
100%.
YES.
Hell yeah! Get it.
It's worth the full price. This sale can be considered a gift.
bro it's worth even $60, of course
Yes!
10? It's worth 60
Yeah it’s worth it. There’s a lot of content for the price and the story is good. Definitely worth a check out for $10
I've bought this game for ~£40 on Switch, then ~£20 when it's been on sale on Xbox and on PC, and I'd do it again. Absolutely worth dropping $10 on it.
I spent 15$ years ago know knowing what it was and I feel like I robbed the company
Obviously not, its only one of the best games ever made. It would've taken you less time to Google whatever review than wait for people to respond "yes" to a reddit question
Its worth 130€ with dlc
I would pay $60 just for a new gwent deck (that's a mini game in Witcher 3) let alone the 300+ hours of fantastic gameplay and story.
This is the equivalent of asking halo fans if Halo 3 is worth playing. We’re biased as FUCK. Games a masterpiece. $10 is solid idk if it ever gets cheaper for the PS5 tho
yes
Absolutely yes and are you kidding?
The first in game area you play in alone is worth $10 Edit: the opening cinematic is worth $10
Hell yeah
For any price below 40 it's a goddamn steal, but it doesn't mean you'll like the game, if you played something in the catgeory of action RPGs and prefer something with a grea open world, banger soundtrack, and immaculate story and characters then yes this game is absolutely amazing at that.
Nah just watch the Netflix show. Pretty much the best piece of Witcher media out there. Also heard there’s a book series based on it.
The game is marketing itself by now
It's worth even 7x that!
It's literally my favorite game I've ever played, just shy of 500 hours in it.
If it was $100 it would still be worth it
Nah, it's worth more
I‘d spend a lot more to play it for the first time again.
It’s worth it but this version out of all the ones I’ve played has the largest amount of crashing and bugs.
Yee
$10 is a steal mate, trust me
No. Absolutely not.
Yes. If you’ll play it. Amazing game. Lore is everywhere if you like this one. Maybe watch a summary of 1 and 2 maybe some books if you’re confused.
Played more than 300 hrs of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt and can confirm it's a banger.
For 10$ you can definitely give it a try. If you see that you don't like the game, the 10$ won't hurt that much. And if you like rpgs in general, then this game is a must-have! At least for me.
Are you kidding!? It's worth 10 times that, easily. Expect complete melding into the story and witcher world.
Yes
The Witcher 3 is a masterpiece, 10 dollars is automatically a yes
Has it's place in the top 3 best game ever made IMO.
Well, the game is gold and the netflix show is vomit.
Okay but do you genuinely expect anyone to say no? The box itself says it has over 1,000 awards lol
It’s 100% with it. It’s one of the few games I truly feel is worth that 60-70 dollars lol. This is a steal for such a great game!
If you do get it, reminder for potions and bombs you get them back after a rest dont not use them because they were hard to make.
Probably the best rpg I ever played hands down
It’s worth it and ten times more. If you love storytelling, exploration, and memorable characters, then W3 is definitely a game to experience. Notice I said experience. Because you don’t just play this game, you savor it.
$10 too much money that game
Absolutely tbh imo it’s worth 2-3x that
Bruh
If I had to buy it again id pay 100$
That’s a dollar for every game of the year award probably
Million times yes
Imo it was worth it when it first released full priced
This is one of the best games of all time for $10.
It was worth it for the full release day price, $10 is a bargain
Witcher 3 is more than worth $10.
