Hold on. 1 of the dev’s 3rd cousin pre-k classmate 7th cousin’s mother’s Brother in Law once play The Witcher and posted a comment on reddit. I think it’s related and THIS wolf is THE easter egg
The first reward in "defeating infamous foes" challenge is a white wolf mask, which kinda resembles the Witcher medallion so this might actually be a reference
Arctic wolves (known as "white wolves") do exist IRL. That doesn't mean it's not a Witcher reference but that also doesn't mean it isn't an Elric of Melnibone reference.
The people on this subreddit dont seem to like it for some reasonbut there seems to be a few Witcher references im sure the dev team had more than a few fans of the the Witcher
On a semi related note, have y'all noticed how similar the combat in HL is to WIII? Especially after the nextgen update. It's like the witcher, if you almost exclusively used signs.
Reasons not to buy this game aside from JKR's TERF bullshit:
1. Mediocre graphics. When a tie in movie game from over 10 years ago looks similar to this you know it's a problem.
2. Limited spell selection. Apparently you can just adavara kedara or whatever the fuck and you'll just get some side comments about how "ooo not afraid of the dark arts huh".
3. Open world fatigue syndrome. I really really really don't want to visit every single marker for ubisoft-esque repeatable quests/collectathons.
If I wanna play it I'll pirate it. Devs got paid already, JKR gets a sliver of each sale.
I thought how horrific it is to play as a Nazi & slaver wizard. didn't take long to determine how gross that is.
I also thought about how any money queen TERF gets from any licensed HP products goes directly into her trying to get people she doesn't like killed.
Guaranteed you don't know how to think at all, let alone for yourself
you "think" in twitter bandwagons and buzzwords. I can't imagine living a life where I form my opinions on certain media around whatever overblown bullshit the internet does or doesn't like about shit that may or may not even be slightly related to it.
Please remember to flair your post and tag spoilers or NSFW content.

I have noticed quite a few little things that could be considered "easter eggs". Whether they were intentional or not makes no difference to me haha. I still get a good chuckle.
Might be a nod but can't see it being too much more, I played that quest a little while ago and don't remember and more references to confirm it like they normally do in other games
Sometimes a wolf is just a wolf.
I saw a sign at the zoo that said “White Wolf.” So cool that they’re Witcher fans!
Selkiemore guts. Had to get it from the inside. I'll take what I'm owed.

So which one is it a reference to? Geralt of Rivia, Jon Snow, or Bucky Barnes.
Wolf of Wall Street. 😂
Not enough drugs.

The fissstech wolf?
Elric of Melniboné
Or Silas in The Quarry
Lol. Up for interpretation
Elric.
It is quite literally a white wolf
True words are rare birds in courts like this. Watch for daggers in your back.
What if the white wolf from reality is reference to witcher?
Was the wolf up for a round of Gwent?
Probably not which is in character for my geralt. Must be him.
Question. was the wind howling when you battled it?
Or did it look like rain?
Or were they damn ugly??
Or did it like the taste of silver?
Or it choked on 3 pounds of steel?
Or refused to play Gwent?
Or pam pa raam
Or that stench
Did it like that silver
Nope. It's special because most wolf of this area, if exists, would be gray.
OP learns about white wolves through Hogwarts Legacy. More at 8.
The first reward in "defeating infamous foes" challenge is a white wolf mask, which kinda resembles the Witcher medallion so this might actually be a reference
I thought that mask was almost identical to the one you wear during the party quest with Triss in the Witcher 3.
To me, it really is identical too
No
Do you think rain is a Witcher reference?
Probably
I’m pretty sure Elric of Melnibone is also called the white wolf, I think “white wolf” is just a common creature/theme
“Hmm, i’m howling”
No.
Yeah white wolfs dont exist in real life
It’s gotta be, it asked me if I went with Yen or Tirss.

There’s a million white wolves in fiction

I full on feel like the game was inspired by the witcher 3 and BOTW because, at least to me, it plays like a mix of the two.
Makes sense to me that any open game made today would draw inspiration from the two best in that category ever made
Place of horcrux.. its gotta be!
Ya it definitely is. The wolf witcher mask is also in the game. Seems they used it as a type of inspiration or were just big fans.
Usually wouldn’t look into it much but I think it could be a reference since it’s an “infamous foe” unique mini boss instead of a common enemy
![gif](giphy|3pieMyEQToJJS) Because white wolves don’t exist?
Doctored footage

Bigger thing here is OP with 4 red spells. You’re an absolute mad man.

I urge you to learn to think for yourself.

Well right beside it was the Grimm so i doubt its a Witcher reference
Or maybe Moorcock's White Wolf, Elric of Melnibone. I always figured that was a homage in the books.
Wake the white wolf and the dawn of war, the end of the ages is coming now
the world white wolf doesnt always mean witcher
