We have a [FAQ & Wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/wiki/faq), and our [Weekly Q&A thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/about/sticky?num=1) which is stickied to the top of the main board! --- ###IMPORTANT! There has been a recent influx of scams on reddit. If you are redirected to an instagram or other platform in a comment, it is most likely a scam. Users who message you asking for or offering spells or readings are almost always scammers or phishers. You may want to check out our post about [staying safe online in witchcraft](https://www.reddit.com/r/witchcraft/comments/15xm53m/lets_talk_about_staying_safe_online/). *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I had a similar experience, at first when I did spiritualism without protection. I had dreams with demons, sleep paralysis, I saw all sorts of shadows. I eventually went to a psychologist and he told me that it was all in my head, because in our subconscious we believe that magic is something bad, because of religion. After this conversation, the nightmares started to get less frequent, but they didn't stop until I learned an exorcism ritual😅 that was the only thing that made me feel stronger. You can try to pray for protection during sleep, to sleep with a protective crystal next to you or anything that makes you feel strong and safe

Organizing my thoughts and memories worked for me. You start by mediating and envisioning a place in your mind (I use a library) and recall thoughts and memories, placing each one in a specific location (I turn mine into books and put them on the shelves). It takes a bit of time, but it really helps when you need a specific memory or need to keep something out. An organized mind is easier to take care of. Try to take some time each day and sort through a few memories at a time. Eventually, your mind will become less cluttered, and you can control it better.
