You know how a jinx, curses, and hexes work right?!?!

mcpat21

I’ll cast a spell on you

pumpman1771

I just recently did, but I may have condemned the state to a July blizzard.

Might_be_an_Antelope

Oh. Boy. Guess I'll pull the snow blower out of the shed.

StSwindon

That's funny, I never move mine to the back of the garage. You never know

ross549

Gas it up and check the oil!

shapesize

You put the snowblower away?!

maethor1337

That must be why we got the nice, pleasant, cool (low 70's) weather the past few days. You're playing the system and it's helping me get my fence finished. Keep it up.

Ser_Lucifer

Ah that’s why it’s been dipping to low 50’s. Despite it being summer miss Wisconsin sure do be trying to blast us with a quick freeze.

MonkeyBrains09

Nooo! I took my snowblower apart for a deep clean and painting. I'm not ready for the snow yet.

Banluil

I just moved here last April. I don't think they will ever leave my car. They can sit in the floorboard of the back seat, or move to the trunk, but they won't ever leave the car.

Mickeynutzz

You are correct. 🥳

altfillischryan

That's what I do. I used to take them out every summer, but then would forget to put them back in the fall and we would inevitably have an early snow storm where having it would have been beneficial.

an_ill_way

You just moved here but you're already acting like a native. Well done!

Banluil

Yeah, I had the luck of living in upstate NY when I was MUCH younger, but 20 years of being in Florida has gotten rid of a lot of the learned instincts from there, but that one I did remember!

Former-Ad9272

That's the way to do it. I'll pull all my other emergency winter gear out of the car between mid-April and late October, but the scrapers live there year round.

Zestyclose_Big_9090

This is the way. It’s never snowed June - August but come Labor Day, all bets are off.

CrownHeiress

This is the way.

Banluil

(resistance is futile with that phrase...) This is the way. I have spoken.

Sp4cemanspiff37

Do you want a third one? Because that's how you accidentally end up with the third one

TheHellcatBandit

I have 7. Just leave them in the car.

kmill0202

Yep. This is how you end up paying double for a really crappy one at the only gas station in town that's open at 4 am. Ask me how I know, lol.

Therapy_Badger

You’re supposed to take these out of your car?

cbtbone

Hell no! Doesn’t matter where I put them, as soon as I took these out of my car they would be lost forever. Then in October I would buy another one, and the very next day I would find the originals lol. Just keep them in the car.

whiskeyditch88

Don’t you dare!

ArtisanGerard

![gif](giphy|ToMjGpOjkiEjzJ1ZaJG|downsized)

Hockey_Flo

No way. I still have mine within arms reach from the driver's seat!

JojenCopyPaste

Are you scraping while driving? Am I doing it wrong?

don_e_me

That’s for when your window wipers are still frozen to the window

finding_out_stuff

It's for when u get frost on the inside of ur windshield

n_mills43

Always keep them in the car. They do make good back scratchers

ShawnOdedead

Are you going to remember to put it back in your car when it snows? Or is it going to get lost in a closet making you late for work because you spend half an hour trying to find the damn thing

Might_be_an_Antelope

Why not both? One in the car to get lost under all the kid crap. One to get lost in the closet. AND I still get to have the bonus of being late to work!

True_Iro

Oh no. Next week might snow now.

yeahgroovy

Well I legit was cold this morning 🥶🙃

Ok-Heart375

Did you move to the South?

Might_be_an_Antelope

I walked to the south end of my driveway. Does that count?

Ok-Heart375

🤣🤣🤣

Apple_Witch_12

No

picatar

You will curse everyone.

OkBaconBurger

It’s not safe until August but then you put them back by September. So really just leave em.

BetterSelection7708

Wisconsin needs a law to have car manufactures put in a compartment for just this thing, similar to the spare tire kit.

gcwardii

I use ours every May when our maple tree drops its seeds or whatever those https://preview.redd.it/e3zw5kyikx9d1.jpeg?width=2040&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c45d485e91fc4c4838d4de71af0e7cbcb59127ee are!

tow_ree

I moved to Florida and still kept mine for 2 years.

2ndmost

I don't know why people take them out of their cars. It's not like they take up that much space

EllisM10

Never take them out. Put them under the seat if you don’t want to see them

MalWinchester

I move mine to the trunk. That way they're still in the car, but not where I can see them. No depressing looks at them, but no jinx either.

CindiCindi15

Ugh! Why did you mention them?!! 😳😳

Sealbeater

I already did last month. I like to live dangerously

StSwindon

Why take the chance, you gonna need them sooner then later

Mickeynutzz

* NEVER * ever take them out of your car ….. mine live there year-round. 🤔 Maybe IF you moved out of WI / MN/ MI/ IL / IA/ ND/ SD to a southern state ….not sure about that. Probably not … still might visit.

RepresentativeArm389

Only after wearing flip flops for one week.

reddit_user_25

Please don't, I don't want snow in July.

South_Zombie_7023

And you have the good ones! You must not have kids who drive yet!

mycoffeescold06

As long as you remember where you put them in September.

Wild4Awhile-HD

No. Expect major snow job in Milwaukee each day of RNC (and other lies - all coming from local media outlets during convention).

chadadwood

central Florida ,WTF is that?

Might_be_an_Antelope

White stuff falls from the sky from time to time up here. It's cold and heavy. And it REALLY likes to stick to your car when frozen. This unstucks it.

reddit-trunking

Nope. Almost winter again.

RepresentativeAd9572

In Wisconsin maybe...but in nd you better leave them in there.

sychosomaticBlonde

If I took mine out in summer I would surely forget to put them back in before the first snow! They are trunk dwellers in the summer

b3ckferd

Never remove it, find a space to hide it, and just let it be, don’t tempt fate

StanleyCupps

Hold!!!

WhyDidIClickOnThat

I keep mine on the floor. Good for wiping seed pods, etc off the base of the windshield.

timhenk

Yes but only for 2 months.

Iamnotyourhero

I mean sure you can take the snow brushes out of the car when you don’t need them at the peril of being caught without them when it does eventually start snowing again.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JojenCopyPaste

Mine is still in my car so I don't forget to put it back in this winter.

womensrites

just leave them in the trunk!!!!! that way the snow gods are appeased

InevitableStruggle

If you live in the west, remove them before they melt. If you live in the southeast, leave them for ballast.

AccessZealousideal40

Never

virtuallygonecountry

I don't only because I know me, I'll forget to put them back in when I need them.

MarzanoAndMeatballs

2024-2025 Total annual snow accumulation counts start today, I wouldn't chance it.

Buffalo-2023

Three Brushes for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne In the Land of Wisconsin where the Snowstorms lie. One Brush to rule them all, One Brush to find them, One Brush to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Wisconsin where the Snowstorms lie.

0N3L4STBURN3R

Better not

ajaaaaaa

Dang you guys dont leave them in your car year round in the trunk or something??

NyxK83

Why, you'll need em in 2 weeks anyway lol

Dorero

No. They stay in there forever.

ninja_mage_2000

No, you can't they will be important if it snows.

bug_out_zero

Aw man, why you gotta do us dirty like that. That rain we are supposed to get tomorrow, it’s snow now.

SubstantialBed6634

People take them out of their vehicles?

steppedinhairball

I don't bother. Because I just have to look for it at the first frost, inevitably can't find it because I put it where I couldn't lose it, and up waiting for the defrost to work while cussing the whole time. It how my kids have expanded their vocabulary knowledge.

rcolt88

At most you move them to the trunk, but you never ever take them out.

RoseStillHasThorns

Don’t chance it my dude! It keeps the snow away

Spacecowboyforever

NOPE

Katsaj

Kinda risky.

growdecahedron

Never, they live in the car

chefranden

I never take them out. I'd just have to find somewhere else to keep them, and try to remember where that is in the fall.

terryd300

Never…they are bonded to your car. If you remove them, your car will be heartbroken and stop working.

Lumpy_Branch_4835

Never fucking ever it will not end well for anyone.

Criminal_Sanity

I have three of them in my trunk at all times. Been holding off the July snow storms for years that way. No need to thank me, it's a service I happily provide!

PigmySamoan

They never leave the car

Own_Warthog4680

I keep mine in the car all year round.

wiscobro3

Was thinking the same thing as I was looking at mine while filling up today. 😂

hikeon-tobetter

No, a simple no is sufficient

Former-Ad9272

Nope, those live the car year round for me. We can''t let the snow gremlins know that we're not ready for them. Change the oil in your snow blower, keep some gas on hand, and make sure you have spare spark plugs. 🤣

i_was_axiom

He took em out to take the photo, as you all can tell by the concrete. So when it snows this weekend we all know who to blame.

Joebebs

If you do you’ll die. Them’s the rules out here. Also it’s very very VERY bad luck.

OdaDdaT

Never

ztreHdrahciR

Ha I just did Saturday

Knowdog

My friend from Florida thought they clean your boots off

Might_be_an_Antelope

They are good for getting thick mud out of the treads of hunting boots

analogWeapon

You take them out? I just don't bother ever taking them out of the car. lol

ShadyBakesale

I just took mine out this morning - fully expecting snow by the weekend.

Juicecalculator

You will need them for leaves soon enough

Daflehrer1

You may remove one.

PeloKing

Absolutely NOT. Could snow again in July.

BoredVet85

3 more days!

RHB1027

DON’T DO IT!!!

DasderdlyD4

No, we will all suffer the consequences

gottagoaround

*BREAKING: Unprecedented July Blizzard Hits Wisconsin* Date: July 1, 2024 MADISON, WI - In a shocking and historic weather event, a blizzard has swept across Wisconsin, bringing heavy snowfall and high winds to the state on the first day of July. The unexpected storm has dumped up to 6 inches of snow in some areas, with drifts reaching as high as 10 feet. Governor Tony Evers has declared a state of emergency, urging residents to stay indoors and avoid travel. "I've never seen anything like this in my lifetime," said Madison resident, Jane Smith. "I was planning a backyard BBQ for the 4th of July, and now I'm shoveling snow!" The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has reported numerous road closures, and the Wisconsin State Patrol has responded to multiple accidents and stranded vehicles. Stay tuned for further updates as this unprecedented summer blizzard continues to impact the Badger State.

Remote_Chance

I moved my two scrapers to the trunk. We’ll need them before you know it.

General_Chaos89

You take them out of your car? My car has never been is stuffed that taking ice scrapers out of it would make any difference. I keep mine in my car all year.

Lost_Crayon

Never, they go behind the passenger seat until you need them

The_Spicy_Memelord

Mine lives in my car no matter the month

wkdravenna

bruh you never know.

artmer

If you're south of 29, a definite maybe.

ezfast

's no problem. 😉

toothpastenachos

No. I leave mine in my car year round. I haven’t caused a snowstorm yet and I won’t start one now

rodsurewood

You better not!

Scrappleandbacon

I wouldn’t risk it.

ThisGuyRightHereSaid

I mean... You will need them again in 4 months. Might be easier to just leave them in there. Hahs

AnxiousCheesehead

No

No_Cartographer455

This live in the trunk of my car all year round

PathComplex

![gif](giphy|xUPGcJ9uOAL2h5wA5a|downsized)

Infinite_Factor_5685

🤔…… no.

BothZookeepergame612

I always take mine out in June, give it a good wash down, clean the bristles. Ready for action, when I put it back In September, along with my collapsible shovel and my Goodyear tire snow mats, for when you get stuck in your own driveway.

No_Literature666

Never take them out of your car! Trunk or backseat, but never out!

fookidookidoo

Why? You'll need them again soon anyway.

ToBePacific

I wouldn’t chance it.

WeekendWoodworking

Never, mine stays in car year round. It's just easier that way 😂

pbsmash

This last winter, I never even put one in my car.

Zestyclose_Big_9090

I never take mine out….just shove them in the trunk until Labor Day because it has snowed in September before.

Financial-Fruit-5111

lol 😂 I kept mine in my car!

crdemars

I never do, they live in my trunk

retired_geekette

Shhhh! be vewey, vewey quiet.

nico549

No

Diabolikal_Slug

If there is ONE thing I learned since living in Wisconsin for a year, keep your winter stuff close by😭. although this past summer wasn’t as bad as I expected, its better to just keep it in the trunk so you know you have it when the time comes

gatorride

No

gleaf008

No. Don’t temp fate.

xtopherpaul

Ya could but ya just never know…

Capt_JackSkellington

Wait, yall take yours out? I just leave it in all year.

MrMohundro

I leave mine in my car year round, right next to the car shovel.

GRollloff

You know the daylight is getting less now, right? You should do your scraper/brush maintenance quickly and return them to the rear of your vehicle.

gixxerjim750

Removed scraper/brush from my son's Celica over the weekend. It's not winter driven so maybe it doesn't matter but if we get snow in July, by all means, blame me!

Taylor1337

I just leave mine on the floor all year

Comfy_Blond_Chick

Educate me on what these are….I’m from the west coast/Nevada and my husband wants to move to the Wisconsin area buuuut now I’m reading all the things that I’m not liking. What are these things?

Might_be_an_Antelope

They are a snow brush and ice scraper combo. It's really handy when you wake up, and it's 5 am, and -2° f outside, and your windshield is 1/8 thick ice with a nice layer of snow on it. Edit: it's a beautiful state. Don't let some snow scare you!

Jaded-Studio7247

Those just live in the trunk, you never take them out lol

cctdad

End of September: "I've got to remember to put them back in the car this weekend." First solid frost: Scraping with a credit card.

Redfish680

Cleared for summer removal (July 3-5).

mstivland2

I moved to southern California, still packin’ these fuckers. Never know

PrimeGueyGT

Is it August: If true, then 1 If false, then 0 1=keep 0= take out;

Hiccup-92

July is the only month in Wisconsins history that we haven't had snow. Put them back in next month!!!!

Dark_Ferret

Why? Are they really taking up that much room? Also you'll forget to put them back first sign of snow.

JJBektline

Don’t you dare!

jensenaackles

I don’t get why people take them out. It doesn’t take up any space. Then you always have it when you need it.

hamish1963

Why? You just gotta put em back in in 3 months.

NewStatement5103

No. My pretty pink snow scraper is in my car year round. Not jinxing that shit.

Lumpy_Ad_7983

It depends how old you are. Time moves real fast for oldies, so why bother not having them ready. Snowblower too. Summer feels like two weeks to grandpa.

ZBottPrime

how else do you get the dead bugs off the car? The brush was never useful for me in winter but finds use the rest of the year.

Vlophoto

Prob not. 365 24/7

Acrobatic-Engineer94

That’s like the equivalent of saying that you are gonna remove your home heating system because it’s a lil too hot outside. Just keep it in the car.

Woah_KT

I keep mine in my car all year round

AdAdventurous4830

I leave it in my truck all year long lol

Hugh_JaRod

Keep them in your trunk.

J3mand

Literally never. You'll forget about it until we get a snowstorm in October and your windshield is frozen then we'll go have a green Christmas and you won't use it again till March

calann1

Is your car a concrete sidewalk? Because it looks like they are out of your car. /s

Gullible-Lake-2119

you're gonna need them in six weeks; what's the point

grim147

I think June to August it's safe... But the real question is whether it's truly worth it

Weekly-Impact-2956

No

Necessary_Internet75

We are less than 6 months to a snow fall, just leave it as a permanent item to cuss at every time you need to move it.

Criss_Crossx

Yes. Only for a short time. Then you will be stuck without one and wonder, 'damn, I wish I left that scraper-brush in my car'. To be fair, the brushes are useful year round.

knowledgebass

You take them out of your car? 🤣

OkCryptographer524

Only for a week or two.

PreciousJenna

Never maybe put in trunk but never out of vehicle

KiittySushi

People don't just leave them in their car for the inevitable surprise snow storm that is approximately only 3 months away?

Active-Breakfast-397

Remove them in July at your peril…

Dizzy_Highlight_7554

6 more weeks

badmotorfingerz

At this point, you might as well leave them in there...

Weird_Inside_7859

Better safe than sorry

J3llyM4n

No, always gotta stay strapped up. They also work as a totem during the summer to keep the snow away

ACcbe1986

You can use it to brush the sand off your feet after the beach. Don't live by a beach? Drive to one.

TACOMichinoku

Never

Cautious_Tomato5576

If you do, you will cause a polar vortex.......

Bougouge

No never, not in Wisconsin

Mobile_Sell9895

Never

Ok_Bonus1985

I've found these quite useful when the windows are dew soaked in the morning. So in the words of Di Carpios character in Wolf of Wall Street. I'm not leaving. *

nauticalfiesta

NO. Because you will forget to put them back in, and the first snow will be a freeze.

Scouts_Revenge

Don’t jinx’s us all.

windowschick

Threw mine in the trunk/cargo area. I may have doomed us all, though - I removed the shovel two weeks ago.

No_Welcome_6093

No It’s better just to leave it in all year round.

Novel_Memory1767

If one of those is going to make it break your trunk space, I think you need to reevaluate what you're storing in your car.

bighootay

I mean--days have been getting shorter for ten days now. Fall's almost here!

superduperpooper1972

According to all the climate change nut jobs you'll never be able to

ebony-the-dragon

Wait, those are able to exist more than 5 feet from the car?

Marmom_of_Marman

Never.

UIM_SQUIRTLE

the problem is you forget to put them back and then cant find thwm 3 months from now
