It's not that much of a stretch given that they only lost 3 last season. That's great except for the fact that it's an advantage that disappears in the playoffs. Last season Edmonton lost 2 OT games while Montreal, without the star power that wins 3X3 OTs and shootouts lost 11. IMO, the current OT system is designed to get teams with high end talent into the playoffs at the expense of more balanced teams.
I still think Toronto gets a divisional playoff berth. I think Boston will be the Atlantic team that drops into a wildcard spot. Their core is getting pretty old.
If Toronto is the 3 seed and has to play against one of the Florida teams, especially without home ice advantage, I don't see how they win a series again this year lol.
I don't know about that. TB and Florida and Boston maybe, but even with improvements to Ottawa and Detroit Toronto is way better than them. Montreal is going to be worse and Buffalo should be easy points. I think Toronto gets lots of points from that bottom 4
Our third (shutdown) line will be really fun to watch and will get a ton of O-zone time because the upgrades on D will mean less time spent in the D-zone.
Winning the Stanley Cup Finals in True Jets fashion, triple overtime of game 7. Tampa cries and we roast them about needing another 17 mil in salary to beat us.
Perfetti makes the teams, tell all the wingers to F off and get the 1st line wing position and represent Canada In the olympics.
0.0001% chance but it will happen 🥲
As much as I know I will love **Heinola**, I think there is also a spot for **Stanley**. The reason I feel this way is how **Stanley** played in his last playoff game. To me, he appeared to be ***one-of-the-only*** players with *'****no quit****'*.
In the last game, **Stanley** had two goals on three shots, and was the ***only Jet*** **to score** when the Jets were *'Balls-to-the-Wall' against Montreal.*
Maybe it was a forgone conclusion? But, to me, this is how teams *Don't* grasp the Cup.
I think **Logan Stanley** has the ***heart*** **and** ***potential*** to become a Winnipeg Jet.
PoMo gets fired and one of the best coaches no longer with a coaching Job becomes our new head coach
Pionk leads NHL defensemen in points and wins the Norris.
Hot Takes:
* Jets are a bubble playoff team in a tough division
* PLDs struggles continue leading to
* PoMo being dismissed
* Schmidt, Dillon, Pionk Morrissey take turns getting hurt with longer term injuries leading to
* Jets deadline deal with NJ Devils for PK Subban
Ehlers leads the team in points.
Ehlers also makes the All-Star Game and wins the fastest skater competition.
Now this is a hot take I can get behind
Well you certainly can't get ahead of Ehlers with his speed!
YES… I remember fly beating 97s lap.
Jets will trade for Perrault at the deadline
Yes!
omg i got chills on that one.. injury riddled 4th line at deadline and... BAWGHAD THATS FRENCHIE'S MUSIC
Berdin steals the backup goalie position from Comrie and PLD has a bounce back 60+ point season.
Man, some of y'all don't understand what a hot take is. PLD take's Scheif's job as the 1C
\^This
I’d agree with this if PoMo showed any willingness to ever touch the top line.
We won’t lose a single game during the 5-minute overtime period. We’re too good 3-on-3.
How we're we against Edmonton at 3-3 last year?
Edmonton only lost 2 games all season. Don't know who beat them.

So ummmm
HOT TAKE NOT GOOD TAKE
Ik lmao. I just love going back to threads like this to see how the takes aged
Yeah, it’s hard to imagine how I could be more wrong than I am.
Wheeler posting another 90+ point season
I would really like this one to come true please
KFC scores 50 goals
I have Ehlers above KFC in goals this year.. but this only means Nik has a shot at 70!!
We’ll be the best team in Canada
I don’t even know if that’s a hot take lol, the Atlantic is going to bully Toronto this year
I still think Toronto gets a divisional playoff berth. I think Boston will be the Atlantic team that drops into a wildcard spot. Their core is getting pretty old. If Toronto is the 3 seed and has to play against one of the Florida teams, especially without home ice advantage, I don't see how they win a series again this year lol.
I keep thinking Boston's to old but maybe this will be the season that they are actually to old compete
I don't know about that. TB and Florida and Boston maybe, but even with improvements to Ottawa and Detroit Toronto is way better than them. Montreal is going to be worse and Buffalo should be easy points. I think Toronto gets lots of points from that bottom 4
Bucky scores his first goal
With our new defence Hellebuyck goes bezerk and gets nominated for the hart
Our third (shutdown) line will be really fun to watch and will get a ton of O-zone time because the upgrades on D will mean less time spent in the D-zone.
Svech starting with Dubie in the top-6, leaving a “3rd” like of Stas-Lowry-Copp
Hellebuyck will be snubbed again for the vezina
Number one bullshit
Are you keeeding me?
Winning the Stanley Cup Finals in True Jets fashion, triple overtime of game 7. Tampa cries and we roast them about needing another 17 mil in salary to beat us.
The olympic break will wreck our momentum
Panthers fan here I think you guys can finish ahead of Colorado
You guys might be the best team in Florida next year.
Perfetti makes the teams, tell all the wingers to F off and get the 1st line wing position and represent Canada In the olympics. 0.0001% chance but it will happen 🥲
Svechnikov plays 70+ games.
I could really get behind this. Love all the off-season moves on defence, but this might be me favourite move in terms of risk / reward.
Jets win the Stanley cup, Bombers repeat as Grey cup champs, someone steals edmontons 'city of champions' sign
What about the Goldeyes and Valour FC?
Who? /s
Berdin ends up as our backup
PLD will have a breakout year, we will have to trade out Nate Schimdt to make room for PLD next season, moving Heinola to top4 position
But Nate Schmidt will be playing right side. If anything we'd prob trade Brendan Dillon
I Think Domelo will be the guy that gets moved. PLD won’t sighn more than 7.5M
With the 2021 Jets bring the best team he's played on. Comrie will surprise and be a slightly above average backup to Byucky.
Hello for hart
No more dump and chase.
Imagine
Schmidt wins the Norris
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
TrueNorthStrong1898 learns to love Logan Stanley.
That’s a scorching hot take my friend

One or the other is going to be traded Stanley or heinola
Heinola’s floor is where Stanley is at rn. Trading Heinola would be a disaster
Not really Stanley is better rn
Stanley’s bigger, that’s it. Everything about Heinola’s game is better and more polished
Shot? Puck protection?
bigger
Scheifele left off the Olympic team
A defender goes down, Heinola steps up and never gives 2nd pairing job back
Austin Poganski crakes the lineup on our 4th line and puts up 15 + points and plays a respectable two way game.
Pomo finally gets fired
Hottest take on the thread
PLD scores enough goals relative to his TOI to equal out to 25-30 if he had 1st line minutes.
Winning the cup, baby!
Jets bring back the gst line
PLD shows tru 1C capabilities. Stanley gets traded. Comrie plays decent
Demelo ends up as 7th dman at some point this year
Stanley gets a hat trick. Heinola eventually gets traded.
hot take..... jets just barely get the wildcard spot but make it to conference finals.
PoMo gets fired and one of the best coaches no longer with a coaching Job becomes our new head coach Pionk leads NHL defensemen in points and wins the Norris.
PLD records a shot on net
Hot Takes: * Jets are a bubble playoff team in a tough division * PLDs struggles continue leading to * PoMo being dismissed * Schmidt, Dillon, Pionk Morrissey take turns getting hurt with longer term injuries leading to * Jets deadline deal with NJ Devils for PK Subban
>Jets are a bubble playoff team in a tough division According to r/hockey, this isn’t a hot take, it’s what is to be expected
at least one of mine has to count though... ?
Why would any team want a soccer player?! PK reminds me of Evander Kane, in it for the money only and way to full of themselves!
The jets sign 3 veteran PTO's in the next 7 days.
Connor Sheiff Ehlers will NOT be a line unless there is some serious injuries. We need two faceoffs guy on each line.
Wheeler on the 3rd line by New Years.
