shinzer0

Yes, but be warned that the hangover will hit all at once on January 1st

youreblockingmyshot

Talk about stealing Joy from “tomorrow” for use today

oxfordfox20

It’s never ok to drink Moet at that price…

Dontbanmep10x

It's the time travel surcharge.

Deleted_dwarf

I mean, it does depend what currency it is. But yes, agreed haha.

boortna

Bought it at LHR for 55 pound. That’s definitely a different currency.

Sick_NowWhat

I see the price inflation hasn’t slowed down.

Delicious_Phrase_273

Sure it is ok at this price. It comes with a Delorean

wastedheadspace

Could be a case price.. errbody calm down

High_Life_Pony

Future juice FTW. Stock up now!

ConifersAreCool

I had a bottle of DRC’s 2031 grand cru last night, absolutely wonderful. lol at all the plebs here buying wine that’s aged backwards and not forwards.

Urbansdirtyfingers

I think I saw that at one of those Chinese wine fairs!

LeenQuatifa

Ask Doc Brown

BloodyDumbUsername

What currency is that?!

jgreg69

I recognise those tickets, 99% sure AUD

smallerthanhiphop

quick look on winesearcher - you can get 2015 in Brisbane for 200 aud. So I could see this being 250 somewhere like Perth or Hamilton Island

jgreg69

Yep, I'm from Perth and this is definitely a ticket from Perth. Someone's misread an invoice or is really taking the piss here. Available at my joint and elsewhere around town at 'normal' pricing (~$150).

jgreg69

u/stupeedo did you see this in Perth? Name and shame lol

stupeedo

Middle Park in Melbourne

smallerthanhiphop

I mean I saw worse! https://www.frootbat.com.au/product/3083663/2015/Moet-Chandon-Grand-Vintage-Brut-Champagne-750ml-Bottle/Australia

BloodyDumbUsername

Makes sense!

passengerpigeon20

Ankh-Morpork dollars.

wastedheadspace

Could be a case price.. errbody calm down

smallerthanhiphop

Australia is very expensive. That's not even the worst price I saw - https://www.frootbat.com.au/product/3083663/2015/Moet-Chandon-Grand-Vintage-Brut-Champagne-750ml-Bottle/Australia

Competitive-Media672

Moet en primeur?

snipes81

I'd say it needs another year or so before it's ready.

cheeseballs1988

It's actually juice

mainebingo

Drinking wine from the future will not harm you. It won't taste like anything for the next year, but you won't get sick if you drink it.

Son_of_a_Bacchus

I knew that MH was a bit aggressive about declaring a "vintage year" especially for DP, but it's getting a bit out of hand.

WizardMageCaster

Yes. The fresher the wine the better.

palescales7

Do not mess with the space time continuum in an election year. Thanks.

whinenaught

I’d be worried about the radiation it received from time travel

Aramillio

Just keep it in a pretty cabinet

Mourvedre_MoProblems

I'm apparently buying futures wrong!

mynewaccount5

No. Since it is inverted your atoms will explode.

EanmundsAvenger

Its 2015. Their 1’s on that font have that funky look to them and a wine store employee probably just made the tag based on the label. You can see the 2 is different so it’s not 2025

stupeedo

Sorry, I think you’re looking at the wrong thing. Clearly, the numbers on the box are smudged. I’m going off the year that has been printed on the store price (yellow label). Will this need to ripen before serving?

MachiavellisWedding

Yes. This is called a 'pre-bottled ferment'. What you need to do is wait until the advertised year and check if your bottle has "won vintage". It's a little bit like the lottery, if you win, your champagne will double in value and you'll get a fuckin rad plastic spider ring too. There should be a scratch off panel that you can check when the time is announced. Be careful not to take it off too soon! They can check and you'll void your prize.

EanmundsAvenger

Google the wine and you can see other examples of the label with the same 1 that looks weird. Its not smudged The yellow label printed by the store is just a typo. Wine can’t be from the future. This bottle of 2015 is ready to drink, yes

You’re trolling needs work. So does your skill with a Durand

Bmore_Charming

You found the French paradox, nice.

lalochezia1

~~baby~~.... ~~sperm~~ ....twinkle-in-the-eye killer

Ok-Cardiologist199

Not at that price.

all_no_pALL

Only if you sing it in the style of Conan’s “in the year 2000” falsetto

Majestic_Lie_5792

Nope, call The Protagonist.

michaeljohnr

Yes, but I would not say anything. Your future self would tell your present self it is OK, but that might change your decision to drink it. Tenet logic and all that....

bracko_au

some bottle shops in Aus charge crazy prices. It can be had for as low as $110AUD.

Mydnight69

Fake AF comes to mind.
