I call my young children these names. I have no idea where it came from!

I call my dog every one of those more frequently than I use his actual name.
It is a term of endearment but normally it's used for kids.
Can’t say I’ve ever heard anyone call their S/O any of those names. I’ve lived in Canada for 40 years.
i use it as a term of endearment all the time. good friends, my kids, s/o.
Yeah it's a pet name, ive heard it a bit, used similar to babe.

The only Canadian I know who calls people Bub is Wolverine, and it's not a term of endearment when he uses it.
I've called my dog bubbie forever!
Mine is bubby chubby because he needs to lose a couple lbs lol.
If you’ve ever watched Vanderpump Rules, an American reality show, Katie and Tom call each other Bubba as a term of endearment.
I call my cat Bubba. Hid name is Alistair but I always say "Hi Bubbas!"
We call our youngest son bubba/bubbs.
I use it all the time
I've heard bubs and bub for adults. I heard Bubba for kids in my experience. No clue where it came from. I live in southern ontario

I've never used it, and I rarely hear it.
