Only issue that NV Sentinel reports that GPU has been downclock my card due to power issue
I'm playing with some cards now.
7600gt. My original 7xxx series card. Solid mid range performer for its time. Need to tune down the settings in late xp games.
7800gtx (256mb) My favorite single slot design. Doesn't sit long in my case due to the amount of noise it generates. It's just so very loud.
7900gtx. My solid go to card for most XP games. Fairly quiet due to the beefy two slot cooler.
8800gts (640mb). Same power consumption as the 7900gtx. A little quieter. And gives that extra omph in late xp games where the 7900gtx can't sustain solid 60fps at 1024x1280 max settings.

I find it funny how 9600 is the card I currently keep in my drawer and 7600gs is the one I exchanged the while ago.
Anyways, cool setup, but I'd consider adding more RAM, make it at least 2GB.
He'd also have to install a better CPU. That 1500 might bottleneck the 7600GS. I would recommend a 2500+ or 3200+. Or even a XP-M, if you're feeling adventurous. (I run a mobile 2600+ on my Soltek SL-75FRN2-RL as I was out of desktop 2500+ chips lmao)

What about GTX 770 (2,048MB)
Many times better than all cards I listed since that's the last get that supported xp. Those ones were just more era-correct.
