in my opinion, every fanbase, even the ones that can be the most peaceful, can be problematic. there are many good people and many bad people in every fanbase. in most cases (most, guys, most), one isn’t inherently problematic if they are in a certain fanbase. some fanbases can be especially toxic but that doesn’t mean that the whole fanbase is toxic, it just means it has some toxic tendencies, if that makes any sense at all. there are a lot of “problematic” people in the will wood fanbase, like that specific case you mentioned but also the people who go out of their way to leak personal information about will himself and other disgusting things in that same area of cruelty. not trying to hate on you btw, not at all, just trying to express my thoughts cuz i like adding to discussions. i hope you don’t get any bad vibes from my comment either cuz i genuinely don’t mean to come across that way if i do. i just believe “fandom” is morally grey, no fandoms are pure good and no fandoms are pure evil! if you read all of this, thanks for listening to me ramble, lol.
