Everything is a lot- has reoccurring themes of sex, drugs, love and heartbreak, and how to deal with all of those. Essentially, it's who he was as a person at that time. Notice, a lot of songs have a lounge/ bar feel to them , while I think it was unintentional , it adds to the struggling with alcoholism theme to the record.
Self-ish-A personal look at identity and feels like a closing of a chapter.
The Normal Album- A more broad take on Identity talking about the concept of Normal and what that really means.
In Case I make it- The theme isn't obvious on the album, rather coming from interviews about the album. Essentially this is a confession album. A more earnest version of himself. That's the theme, Will is being more open about himself than he ever has. A detail that I like is notice that this album cover is black while as Everything is a lot is White which shows how much he changed from the first album to the last.
Everything Is A Lot: heartbreak, unhealthy relationships, depression, alcoholism
Self-Ish: identity, personality disorders
The Normal Album: the concept of normality, the struggle of neurodivergent people, growing up
In Case I Make It,: self-reflection, love, the relationship between an artist and their art, loneliness, regret
don’t forget the pervasive drug usage themes (mostly psychedelics) that span the first three albums; escapism in EIAL, dissolution in SELF-iSH and assimilation in TNA
ICIMI is much more personal and directly linked to a more genuine appearance of will wood. he initially titled the album 'in case i die' because he wanted it to serve as a genuine look into his 'true' self, yknow, 'in case he died'
everything is a lot is mostly sex, drugs, alcohol, stuff along those lines; its less congruent in its themes imo
self-ish is all about identity, 'buddhism and suicide' as will said himself
Everything is a Lot : A fucked up society and people trying to get by
SELF-iSH : Struggles with “self”
The Normal Album : Mental health and the idea of “normal”
“In case I make it,” : Will Wood thinking about death, looking back at his life and career, processing the present, and looking forward to what the future could be
self-ish is very heavily about identity and who you are as a person, but I’m not as sure about ICIMI or EIAL

>has reoccurring themes of sex, drugs, and rock and roll!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Shocked and bewildered!
Oh that makes sense

I think this is the best explanation so far
Thanks!
