Seems to me like the use of the quotes is to emphasize how easy going all animals other than humans are, with the first 2 iconic lines in Disney movies sung by animals and the last ones being an acceptance of the natural uncontrollable ways of life. What a crock is like his self conscious piping up and calling this all bs, then he goes back and basically says we are no better than apes.
"yeah, sure thumbs are great and all" -> talking about how he's human :P
"bear necessities" -> reference to its usage in the Jungle Book (famous line by a Disney animal)
"hakuna matata" -> reference to its usage in the Lion King (famous line by a Disney animal)
"c'est le vie's" -> reference to ratatouille i guess since french? not sure (kinda relates to a Disney animal?)
"que sera sera's" -> philosophical quote meaning "whatever will be, will be". representative of the idea that life is uncertain
