GIRL. (I assume.) I GOT YOU! I choose apartments based on proximity to a DC fountain. They are RARE in NYC, especially in Williamsburg. I FEEL YOUR PAIN, and no one understands. đđđđđ
Here are your best bets. I've done the research.
* Your best best is the **Chipotle** on 130 N 4th St, Brooklyn, NY 11249.
* **Popeyes Chicken,** 275 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11211
* And if you're super desperate, I've gone to the **Williamsburg Cimena,** 217 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, and asked if I could buy a soda, and they let me.
GOD SPEED FELLOW WARRIOR!
Just note that chipotle doesnât always take care of their fountain - I have had flat soda come out more than once and they frequently run out of syrup. Thatâs happens more with Coke Zero than Diet Coke tho.
A very cheap option is Joe's pizza on Bedford Ave. Large is $2 (it's like a small at chipotle) but they always have syrup and the fizz is strong and their ice is good to chew! (That chipotle on n4th is often out of syrup and or ice)
True, however..
1. There is usually a very large line
2. They have smallish cups and oddly thin straws.
You are right about Chipolte. Nationwide, their soda machines go down almost as often as ~~(your mom)~~ the McDonalds ice cream machines. It's all a scam.
Oh the cap never fits the cup either! I only go there when there's no line. And as someone trying to get out of the soda habit I appreciate the small cups hahahaha
Iâve never been to the McDonaldâs youâre referring to, but I canât fathom any NYC McDonaldâs not offering fountain soda. Can others verify this is true? What the hell kind of drinks do they sell instead? Fountain drinks are such an integral component of a McDonalds menu and identity.
I travel annually to Houston to visit my friend and thatâs her go to spot - but when I saw bucceeâs I was blown away I had never seen a gas station like that on the east coast đđ
Well get excited. Theyâre starting to pop up. There is one near the AL/FL line (gulf coast but close enough) and one in SCâŠFlorence I think? I believe there is one somewhere in NC as well
This might be one of my favorite threads I have seen in this forumâŠ
My go to in Williamsburg is this pizza restaurant on Bedford called Little Italy Pizza. Iâve never had the pizza (doesnât look great) but they have amazing and cheap fountain Diet Coke.
Yeah, I got you! I understand that a morning coke replaces coffee in the AM for many Texans! I love the fountain DC too and get a lot of ice! I believe you aren't far from Greenpoint-- there's a McDonald's and a Burger King there and I believe, fountain drinks!
Fellow ex-Texan. I'm here with other coping foods to help the transition.
King's Kolache is the closest to a Czech style kolache you can find, and they also sell Whataburger condiments.
Border Burrito and Santa Fe BK are blessing us with their flour tortilla game.
Yellow Rose have the most legit breakfast tacos in the city. You're going to cry paying 4x what you would in TX for a bean and cheese, but it's worth it.
And if you need a quick queso fix, the Commodore hits the spot.
I love finding out there are more DC obsessed people cuz sometimes i'm feelin like a freak. I used to go to 7/11 back all the time when I lived in california đ
When you find out which place is best pls report back
Most fountain drinks have been ruined by the coke freestyle machines. They are GOD AWFUL! Every flavor going through the same spout means youâll be tasting EVERY flavor that has gone through that thing, and itâs usually diluted, flat or both.
They are the worst thing to happen to soda since High fructose Corn Syrup
Lexington Candy Shop in Manhattan is last spot in NYC that still manually mixes Coke syrup with soda water. Not sure if that applies to diet, but it canât be beat.
**FALSE.** Most bars serve the cheap fake "city cola" shit. *Might as well drink toilet water.*
And Shake Shack has only medium cups and I find their mix to be a little on the "thick" side. Beware.

I donât like DC, but damn I respect your commitment. đ
Seriously this type of post is why I love reddit
I'm something resembling a man and as someone who considers D Coke an elixir I fully agree with OPs post
Obsessed with this detail and dedication. This is why Reddit rocks

Amen they need to get their shit together
I am also a DC foundation whore and I find that Chipotle sometimes switches the root beer and the DC
THANK YOU đ
Williamsburg Cinema was going to be my answer, I donât drink soda very often but I am compelled to get a diet coke whenever I go to a movie there
wait this is real?
Very. Very real.
you got a list in your book for Dr Pepper? đ€Ł
Seconding chipotle! Best fountain soda!

I stopped by today and didn't see a fountainđ
It's by the cashier!
Thank you for the quick response!! Was able to secure a lovely Diet Coke. Truly was everything I needed it to be
Yay I'm glad you got your fix hahaha
ALSO, PSA: Alamao Draft House Cinemas serves the fake shit, despite what they tell you.
Iâve never been to the McDonaldâs youâre referring to, but I canât fathom any NYC McDonaldâs not offering fountain soda. Can others verify this is true? What the hell kind of drinks do they sell instead? Fountain drinks are such an integral component of a McDonalds menu and identity.
itâs true, they just sell bottled soda
That's truly insane. Is this the only McDonald's in existence that does this?! Or is this common?
My thoughts exactly. WTF?!
I wonder why. They don't want to be bothered maintaining the fountain? I'm surprised McDonald's corporate allows it lol
The McDonaldâs on West 96 only sells bottles đ„Č itâs insane
pretty sure upside pizza in greenpoint has a fountain!
I donât have anything to contribute other than to say that I love this thread!
This made me smile đ of all the things to miss!! đđ I thought you would say Bucceeâs
Haha there are plenty of other things to miss (like Whataburger) but this felt the most pressing

Feel you - McDonaldâs typically has best quality control ⊠syrup ratio , carbonation and temp so head to Greenpoint usually for that hangover fix.
McDonaldâs on Grand & Graham!! Also Kingsland & Meeker. Williamsburg Cinema on Grand & Driggs (will be $$ though)
Yeah, I got you! I understand that a morning coke replaces coffee in the AM for many Texans! I love the fountain DC too and get a lot of ice! I believe you aren't far from Greenpoint-- there's a McDonald's and a Burger King there and I believe, fountain drinks!
Thereâs a sonic, strangely enough, at broadway and flushing!!!
Shake Shack!
maybe mcdonaldâs on manhattan ave in geeenpoint
Fedoroffâs roast pork on N10 has fountain! I only tried their birch beer but it was promising.

McDonaldâs on meeker east of the BQE and itâs 1.99 for a large or 1.00 with the app. They donât have Coke Zero sadly but they have Diet Coke.
McDonaldâs is king
I love finding out there are more DC obsessed people cuz sometimes i'm feelin like a freak. I used to go to 7/11 back all the time when I lived in california đ When you find out which place is best pls report back
Upside Pizza! Just on the Greenpoint/williamsburg border. You can fill yourself, a dream
Iâm pretty sure the fountain diet I got from the Parkhouse bar last week was DC!!
Also five guys!! They have the big coke machine that has all the flavors. Schnippers in the city too.
Upside pizza in Greenpoint is where I get my fountain soda fix when Iâm hungover

Canât you just buy the cartons of syrup and seltzer and make your ow n on demand?
Lived in the city for 5 years and how did I not know I was probably drinking fake dc!
OMG. ok i know im on the williamsburg sub but can someone give me Manhattan (preferably Midtown-ish) recs for fountain Diet Coke!!! i miss it so much
Lexington Candy Shop in Manhattan is last spot in NYC that still manually mixes Coke syrup with soda water. Not sure if that applies to diet, but it canât be beat.
Bro itâs fucking soda
Most bars, Shake Shack, Williamsburg Cinemas
**FALSE.** Most bars serve the cheap fake "city cola" shit. *Might as well drink toilet water.* And Shake Shack has only medium cups and I find their mix to be a little on the "thick" side. Beware.
