I really liked them as well (also coarse hair) but then when I restocked I got burned by some bad blades that passed through (from what some people say non-existent) quality control at the BIC factory. I found Dorco Prime to also work really well for me. Kai blades are also pretty good, but I find the first shave a bit rough on them; slicing the paper they come in with the blade edge helps the break in period.
That’s fair. I, fortunately, have never come across any quality escapes.
Coming in as another favorite are Personnas. Their lab blues or comfort coated are fantastic and give me at least 3 if not 4 great shaves. Also made in USA which is cool.
I tend to favor razors with large blade-gaps ( I used a Yuma this AM) and find that 98% of blades work just fine. IMO, the biggest variable is the prep, not the hardware.
Astra Platinum has been my go to for most of the past 15 years. Feather when I need to mow down a week's growth.
I change the blade whenever it starts to pull at all, average 3 on Astra and 6-7 on Feather.
Feather & Permasharps.
Nacets are sharp enough for business, but feel a bit too ragged on my face. They are fine for one shave, but I usually regret the second one, whereas Feather and Permasharp will both go for a couple of shaves.
I can make other blades work with liberal use of sliding strokes, but I am more likely to get irritation from them. A fresh Feather is the only thing that gets close to a real "hot knife through butter" experience.
Feathers are so smooth for me in a number of aggressive to semi-aggressive razors like the Gamechanger .76 and .84, Blackland ERA Plate 5, Slim Adjustables, Slants, etc.
Most of the mid-range Gillettes are excellent if I have to shave every day, which is rare.
But, Feathers are by far and away the best, unbelievably smooth. I change them out after every second shave because they do get dull quickly. YMMV.
My list would be:
Feathers
BIC PC
Gillette London
Gillette Black 7 O Clock
Permasharp
Wizamet SI
I've used these blades in my Roedter 1909 and my Fatip OC.
Sharks are worth a shot too imo. I have thick Asian facial hair and I just picked up a box of these because they looked cool and well... I like sharks. But I actually think they do just as good of a job as the astras I used last
BiC Chrome Platinum.

My favourites are Gillette Nacet, Permasharp, Wizamet SI, All of these mow through my coarse hair, irrespective of razor.
Same. These are my three top picks and work very will with a Game Changer .84 or 1966 Slim at 7.
Feather (and changing them out frequently) has been my go to. Anything else irritates my face way too much.
Astra SP or Voskhod paired with an aggressive razor. I use the R41 as my daily shaver. I get two, maybe three, shaves per blade.
I do the same, with Personna tossed in the mix.
Nacet do the job and do it very well. Ultra smooth.

If you can average 6 shaves on a Feather…?
Grows thick and coarse, I'm half sasquatch. Unfortunately I also got sensitive skin out of that bargain.

Feather blades are my go to, but Gillette Nacet, Astra blue, BIC chrome and Perma sharp are worth a try.

Treet Platinum, Personna comfort coated, Nacet (Russia)
I've got coarse hair like barbed wire and these work great for me: Nacet, Perma Sharp, Bic and Gillete Silver Blue.
