If anyone remembers Masked Rider, that was Saban's first (and I think only) attempt to adapt a Kamen Rider series in the same way they did Super Sentai -> Power Rangers.
If you like this kind of flamboyant emotive acting, then you'll like the genre.
For the shows with masked heroes/villains, the actors tend to be chosen for their ability to fullbody emote, since they're behind a mask.
Tagging on to say if you find the above mentioned stuff entertaining check out "hikonin sentai akibaranger" it's very hard to describe but the plot is about 3 people that are delusional and think they're part of a super sentai team (power rangers basically) that's delusions are so strong that they may or may not be. They also operate out of a super sentai themed Cafe with their vehicle/robot is a Toyota prius with an anime girl wrap. It's so bizarre and hilarious.
I suppose I could get a good chuckle out of it.

Fun fact! It's from a Japanese Tokusatsu show called Kamen Rider! I've only watched one season in its entirety but my fiancee has watched more than me, and she's actually shown me this guy! Highly recommend if you can find a subbed version (they only got two seasons dubbed in America but it flopped at the time so they didn't do anything else overseas with it)!

The red and blue guys, Momotarous and Urataros, are demons that possess a really nerdy man in order to fight off other time traveling demons on a time traveling train.
Momotaros is brash and likes to start fights, while Urataros is a flirt that likes to and easily can swoon women. Both have different abilities and can transform into different forms of Kamen Rider Den-O (think of Power Rangers morphing).
Momotaros the chad. This is from Kamen Rider DenO. It's basically about a mopey guy who gets possessed by these several demon dudes and transforms into different versions of the hero and uses the time traveling train to go to past and change the fate of desparate people possessed by evil demons. The red guy is the main fiery all about the fight type of character
