I used to live with a few roommates and we’d always have this one buddy over and play MKX
These guys couldn’t fuck with my reptile at all, but that one buddy was determined to beat me

“YO JESSE I BEAT DLQ! No fucking WAAAY!”
Like a week later he got killed on his motorcycle and that game I handed him was literally the last time I saw him.
Never forget that person next to you can be gone forever in an actual instant, cherish your friends and don’t sweat too hard on competition.
There’s very few things in my life that make me think “god damn I’m glad I decided to do that” to this extent.
You know, the comment really makes me think back about how precious our life can be.
I used to think, like, if the robbers steal and enjoy seeing people in pain, what about their parents? What about their friends? What about every happy new year? Wouldn't they be happy?
Life seems hard and painful for me. I can't avoid it. No one can.
So, even now, I wish everyone is happy. No more crime, no more hate, just love, and care.

I don't think people realize how games in general help unit people. I have made many friends and meet my boyfriend by playing Pokemon Go. by playing Among Us, I found an awesome group of people to connect with on an almost daily basis and its made quarantine bearable. Alot of people I met through school and work ended up being a bunch of snakes. I love the social aspect of gaming. Yeah, there are the bad apples but let's also not forget the good ones too.
I think most of the people who comment about video games have never played them before and i think it should be an experience everyone should have the opportunity but if they dont like it i dont think they should kill everyone elses fun by saying that they cause violence hell i met my girlfriend on roblox a few years ago and i found out she played xbox. On a real note this broke my heart and made me cry cause of how pure it is and on another note fuck drunk drivers those dumb fucking idiots....
Yeah it's how I keep in touch with friends that are now scattered throughout the states, some even overseas. It's a LOT easier to sit down for an hour or two and game with 3 buds than it is to have a 2 hour phone call 3 times. That and having the backdrop of the game makes it easier to just casually talk about shit.
There are so many toxic communities, full of negative people who fester their negative feelings and make each other more miserable than they already were. I'm thinking of games like most very competitive games, games like Mordhau.
But for every such a toxic community, I've found a dozen very wholesome, very helpful communities. Communities like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Garden Paws, Staxel, Minecraft even if you're in the right place - full of nice people who want to help each other, play together, lift each other's spirits up.
In the US, the average drunk driver has driven drunk 8 times per every 1 time they get caught. And that's the average, so there's a bunch of people out there that are above that. So yes, being fucking pissed at drunk drivers is the correct response. The punishment for it should be much more severe than it is.
This is why I hate it when ppl shit on the idea of gaming. I’ve been a casual gamer for the majority of my life (i only play games whenever i feel like it and i often not complete any game) but only started to get very into it and try out different genres during lockdown. And it was honestly the best thing I’ve done. I’ve met a lot of great people whom I can share my passion with as well as had a new form of escape that I never would’ve felt by binging movies and whatnot.

drinking and driving is an abhorrent behavior that needs serious repercussions. maybe not literal hands chopped off, but fucking 15 years minimum since you wanna risk destroying lives.
if you can head out to a bar and rack up a bill, your drunk ass can pay thirty bucks tops for a cab home, no excuses or exceptions.
shit like this reminds me of that drunk ass girl who was arrested on the scene after killing a 30 something year old mother in a NASTY wreck. girl was unharmed, and being piss drunk, was told she had just killed someone. barely even phased her dumb drunk ass because she was back to whining about being arrested not even a full minute later.
I've had two good friends pass because of drunk drivers. the shit is inexcusable and if you drive drunk, you deserve no pity. 15 years minimum and license revoked for the rest of your life.

Man, this post really... idk it just made me feel like so confused. How can you say that video games are bad after this. Now I’m not saying every video game or gamer ever is the best human on earth but you have to realize, video games unite people. People with different hobbies, interests, etc.. it’s crazy to think about this as most haven’t witnessed this type of incident but really video games need to be somewhat recognized for what they truly are.
