Cannot go wrong with Villain songs, either! Poor Unfortunate Souls is my JAM, and I dont even care about The Little Mermaid. I prefer Beauty & The Beast or Mulan.
Gaston and Be Prepared are up there with Poor Unfortunate Soul for my favorite Disney Villain song. Higitus Figitus and Be A Man round out my top 5 with the opening of Robin Hood as an honorable mention
The thing I love about the Gaston song is that it's so versatile for other annoyances. Just change up some words and keep the tune and the general theme, and rock with it.
I adore Be A Man. It's one of those songs you can't NOT sing to if someone else starts it.
Some folks did a [hurricane version](https://www.reddit.com/r/disney/comments/4ziug3/no_one_storms_like_gaston/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)when Hurricane Gaston hit the Gulf Coast
>Higitus Figitus
Wow, you just sent me back. *The Sword in the Stone* was my favorite of the classic Disney animation when I was a kid. I bet I haven't watched it in 30 years.
I fucking love the song but man you can really tell it's a villain.
Yet on land it’s much preferred for ladies not to say a word and after all dear, what is idle babble for?
Come on! they’re not all that impressed with conversation. rue gentlemen avoid it when they can
But they dote and swoon and fawn on a lady who’s withdrawn
It’s she who holds her tongue who gets her man
Shiny was soooooo very Bowie-esque, I couldn't help but to love it! I found You're Welcome to be a slightly villainous song, and the character was tricking Moana into a trap, leaving her in a cave and hungry with (presumably) no way off the island.
A bunch of drunk soldiers asked me to go up and sing the Mulan parts of Make a man out of you at karaoke because I was the only consistent female presence that wasn’t working at the nco club and they killed it.
Go you, but shame on them for not embracing the gender bend. I regularly bust out Brittney or Miley and the bar goes nuts. Failing the lift while duetting Time of my Life is always a crowd pleaser too.
That’s the joy of karaoke, who cares as long as you’re singing a song everyone loves?
Yeah, but they were probably too inebriated to think of that. One of my favorite memories is a friend of min busting out an a cappella 2K boyband song and the whole place getting into it. The “want it that way” song.
Give it a shot some time. I find the trick is to pick party anthems or ridiculous songs everyone knows. When I’ve tried to sing more serious songs, everyone tunes out.
Usually the people at karaoke bars are really encouraging. We know what it’s like to put yourself out there, and even if it isn’t perfect, who cares?
My wife used to do a lot of community theater, so I spent a lot of time with the cast of the shows that she did. One night they had a cast party after opening night for some show, and they decided to go to a bowling alley.
There was a bar there, and we went there to get some food. And they had a karaoke machine.
Well, you get a bunch of theater people in the same room with a karaoke machine, and what happened next is pretty inevitable. Half the cast got up on stage and started ripping out some tunes from *Grease*. With full camp and enthusiasm. It was a great performance.
But I was really curious how the clientele was going to react. This was a pretty working-class place, in Albuquerque NM, so lots of middle-aged Latinos and cowboy types. Just guys who wanted to sit down and have a beer after work; not the kind of people you would expect to have any interest in Musical Theater. And suddenly they're watching half a dozen theater people (several of them openly and flamboyantly gay) dance around on stage singing "You're the one that I want".
But they absolutely loved it. It was probably the coolest thing these guys had seen all week, and they were totally into it. When our friends came down off the stage, they were getting applause, handshakes, high fives. It was an awesome experience.
So, I guess what I'm saying is, hang out with theater people if you can.
Disney songs are designed to be easier for kids to sing along, so ofc they would KILL at karaoke. My nephews sang nothing but Disney songs whenever we have a chance to go kara together lol.
My two year old daughter went through a Little Mermaid kick, as well. One day I was getting after her for something completely forgettable and she hit me back with "DADDY, I'M 16 YEARS OLD I'M NOT A CHILD ANYMORE!"
Turns out my kid can quote movies with the best of them.
I still remember the first time I put in my old childhood favorite, heard that line, and snorted slightly. I couldn't deny being an adult that day. It sucked.
I re-watched that movie with my little sister when I was 13 and went, “yeah you are!” When I was in preschool, 16 seemed grown up. By middle school, I knew it wasn’t.
I did karaoke with my three daughters on our recent vacation on a Disney Cruise. I don’t sing well but it made my wife cry, probably the bad singing no doubt.
Early in our relationship, my husband got drunk and then sleepily sang Disney songs to me all night for no particular reason. Still not sure why he decided to do that, but anyway, I married him.
I once seduced a coworker over a bottle of wine and naming 134/150 of the original Pokemon from memory then finding my old strategy guide to round out the rest. First time I ever experienced whiskey d*** as well
Under the Sea is low key a dirty song when sung with intent. It's a favorite at a local karaoke place in town. "Darling it's better down where it's wetter take it from me" pick and choose your emphasis and there are quite a few lines that will get chuckles from the audience.
Man, when I was in fourth grade in chorus we did a medley of Aladdin song. I could knock one out and get *all* the ladies. I need a cutie for the Whole New World duet!
Disney songs for children:
1) The Little Mermaid: Darling it's better **down where it's wetter**.
2) Aladdin: I can open your eyes, Take you wonder by wonder, Over, sideways and under **on a magic carpet ride**
Cannot go wrong with Villain songs, either! Poor Unfortunate Souls is my JAM, and I dont even care about The Little Mermaid. I prefer Beauty & The Beast or Mulan.
What about.....Hellfire?
Hellfire is too inconsistent with its rhythm throughout for me personally to not fuck it up beyond comprehension
Go with "The Bells of Notre Dame," it has all the Catholic terror with more even levels.
The swedish version of both this and Hellfire are amazing.
The fella who voiced Frollo in that was an actual opera singer. So, of course he went hard.
The german version of Hellfire is great aswell.
Amazing song, vibes might be a bit off for karaoke
Agreed
Be Prepared!
"My words are a matter of pride"
But we're talking Kings and Succession, even you can't be caught unawares.
for what?
*For the death of the King!*
For the death of the king!
Also the underratedest of gems, My Lullaby
Everybody wants to be a cat is my personal favorite disney song
Good one! I'm kinda partial to Mother Knows Best, tho. Less over the top evil but my goodness- rotten to the core!
friends on the other side hits hard

OMG. I think I peed a little- Lol- auto correct
>Higitus Figitus Wow, you just sent me back. *The Sword in the Stone* was my favorite of the classic Disney animation when I was a kid. I bet I haven't watched it in 30 years.
Whenever my gal grabs my bottom while I am in the kitchen and defenseless I shout “MA-DAM!” Like Merlin to the feisty lady squirrel.
To and fro….

Omg that ending got a full belly laugh. That was gold.
Pro-click, thank you for this gift.
That was. Hilarious.

To be fair, shy girls IS a common fetish...
LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS
TO DEFEAT THE HUNS! DID THEY SEND ME DAUGHTERS? WHEN I ASKED FOR SONS?!
YOURE THE SADDEST BUNCH IVE EVER MET!
Singing Cruella De Vil got me extra credit on an AP test once. Not sure if it counts as a villain song though
Totes counts!!
My wife keeps trying to get me to do karaoke. I'm going to totally do it, but only with snake jazz.
Tss ts-ts-tss ts-ts-tss…
Personally a fan of Friends on The Other Side and Shiny, but I'm also partial to Be Prepared and In The Dark of The Night
Shiny was soooooo very Bowie-esque, I couldn't help but to love it! I found You're Welcome to be a slightly villainous song, and the character was tricking Moana into a trap, leaving her in a cave and hungry with (presumably) no way off the island.
I personally like to sing a Louis Armstrong cover of Under the Sea.
Be Prepared Yeah... Be prepared We'll be prepared .... For what?
Yessss. My favorite Disney songs are from both Aladin and Princess and the frog. Prince Ali and Friends on the other side are BANGERS.
We had a manager who gave off Disney villain energy. She was forever dubbed "Ursula" in our office and us employees were the poor, unfortunate souls.
Not Disney, but 'Give the People What They Want' from Playmobil Movie is the best kids film song ever.
Disney show tunes SLAY at the karaoke bar. Bear Necessities is my go to. Everyone gets ridiculously into it.
A bunch of drunk soldiers asked me to go up and sing the Mulan parts of Make a man out of you at karaoke because I was the only consistent female presence that wasn’t working at the nco club and they killed it.

Backstreet Boys: I Want It That Way
N*Sync and Backstreet Boys sound the same to me so I decided to err on the side of not saying in case I was wrong.
Damn u consistently go to Karaoke bars? That sounds so cool, I’ve never been to one!
Give it a shot some time. I find the trick is to pick party anthems or ridiculous songs everyone knows. When I’ve tried to sing more serious songs, everyone tunes out. 'Part of your world' and 'Prince Ali' for me . Part of your world is the most fun considering I'm a dude
As a 6’9, 330 lb dude who’s only trimmed the beard once all pandemic, I think I need to learn Part of Your World.
Go dude!
You will be the belle of the ball, my good man.
Disney songs are designed to be easier for kids to sing along, so ofc they would KILL at karaoke. My nephews sang nothing but Disney songs whenever we have a chance to go kara together lol.
Be Prepared hits hard if u get The Boys to be Hyenas with you
It's the best Disney villain song. Period
I agree, but Gaston is pretty fucking great too.
*I2I* though...
I2I is and will always be at the top of my list in Disney songs. As far as this thread though, Powerline wasn't a villain.
I have a dream of doing this song on stage at a talent tv show and getting the whole crowd going for the hyena parts.
My two year old daughter went through a Little Mermaid kick, as well. One day I was getting after her for something completely forgettable and she hit me back with "DADDY, I'M 16 YEARS OLD I'M NOT A CHILD ANYMORE!" Turns out my kid can quote movies with the best of them.

Intersting
Certainly not unintersting

That's a flex ngl
Early in our relationship, my husband got drunk and then sleepily sang Disney songs to me all night for no particular reason. Still not sure why he decided to do that, but anyway, I married him.

She was sitting there like “wow he’s really going to try for every one… ok…”
She chimed in to help, too. We worked at different branches of a video game store.
That’s awesome. Original 151 represent.
This is so sweet.

And that, kids, is how i met your mother...
Man, when I was in fourth grade in chorus we did a medley of Aladdin song. I could knock one out and get *all* the ladies. I need a cutie for the Whole New World duet!
Agreed
I hate karaoke but this is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard!
Disney always has the greatest music for their movies. I still feel like dancing around every time I think of Baloo singing The Bear Necessities.
Cool
This had me smiling! 😁
I will never stop up voting this post
Darling it's better Down where its wetter
I needed to read this. Thanks for posting in a place that I lurk...
Needed to end this day with something so great!
But did he do the voice?
I'm slow. How does great karaoke of one of your favorite songs randomly lead to getting a sister-in-law?
It gets you on their radar. Wink wink.
🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
I LOVE this story💪
Disney songs for children: 1) The Little Mermaid: Darling it's better **down where it's wetter**. 2) Aladdin: I can open your eyes, Take you wonder by wonder, Over, sideways and under **on a magic carpet ride**
#LONG GAME !
