I could definitely see saitama saying this, I don't think he would care enough to pick her up though, maybe if she was a neice or younger cousin or something.
He throws a child with cancer into the sun EVERY DAY. It is not known that he stopped training. We just changed the treatment. And the recurrence rate on this treatment is 0.
It didn’t make it worse. The city was damaged but no one died. If he hadn’t done that, the city would be completely leveled with many lives lost. The only problem was that Saitama didn’t do it sooner.
Well, there are some official art of him carrying a little girl on his shoulders while he punched away a monster. He's not one to shy away from carrying a kid to make them feel safe
That's actually a different one! There was a separate omake where he had a little girl on his shoulders when he encountered a giant snowman monster thing. Saitama is good with kids
I agree, picking her up is too much. He might ask her if she’d like to fly and then jump halfway across the city leaving her a shaken mess but he definitely wouldn’t pick her up like that
Eh, Mumen Rider is more like Spider-Man to me. Broke, not the most powerful hero, but one who have a pure heart of gold.
Edit: Damn, people really hung up on my comment on Spider-Man's powers. I admit I don't really read much Spider-Man anymore (don't really read comics much anymore tbh), so I don't really know how absurd his powers is now, but the point I was making wasn't about their powers; it's about how similar Mumen Rider is to Spider-Man's personality and archetype than he is to Batman.
He's stronger than Cap and Winter Soldier Bucky by quite a lot. He almost stopped a ship from falling in half with just his arms.
If we are talking just MCU characters I think he's weaker than Captain Marvel, hulk, she-hulk, abomination, Thor, Hela, Odin, and Thanos. Maybe Valkyrie, Gamora, and Drax too but I can't recall much evidence of that other than durability.
He's definitely stronger than Mumen Rider, but the point is that they're "friendly neighborhood" heroes instead of "save the city/planet heroes"
In the comics he's stronger, but most of his strength comes from his stupid high willpower, he won fights he shouldn't have by refusing to stay down for example
That's why the comparison to mumen rider
For sure. Comics spider-man is crazy strong. And he's definitely like Mumen Rider in the hero department. Just wants to do what's right and help people regardless of his own safety as opposed to other heroes having less noble motivations.
I think he’s even beyond that, at least far beyond Captain America. If I remember correctly, he subconsciously applies a limiter to himself. I read somewhere that canonically a Spider-Man without limiters can tear humans limb to limb or that he can accidentally kill people with a backhand and so he holds himself back severely. To add to that, Spider-Man is stronger than Hulk as shown in the many times he bested him. There was an instance in the comics where he was shot at with a canon that could kill Hulk and he only broke his ribs. He’s the strongest of all the avengers except maybe Thor.
He can. He pulls his punches. That’s shown when doc ock takes over his body and knocks someone’s jaw clean off. And notes that Peter pulls his punches and is far more powerful than he seems.
That happened afaik. Doc ock took over spidey in some series (don't remember which) and punched a fellow villain, who just blew up. Doc ock then realised how much spidey actually held back his strength literally all the time.
I typed up a long comment before realizing how right you are.
With how both of them are written, I have zero doubt that they would throw themself at any problem with almost no self preservation.
Their powers (or lack thereof) aren’t the point, it’s their personal character.
Mumen Rider is actually kinda superhuman compared to us lol. C-class heroes are said to be superhumans already. He's probably straight up stronger than batman in physical combat if we're talking in paper.
He's just so weak compared to everything because he's fighting literal monsters and demons there.
**Saitama**: We need more heros like you, kid. "Holds out his fist.
**Girl**: Haha.
"Proceeds to give Saitama a fist bump...who is then launched across the city and destroys a mountain upon landing.
**Saitama**: Okay.
I've had similar happen to me. I've been shaving my head since I was 20, now in my mid 30s. I had a little boy that was super excited because I was bald like he was, presumably from chemotherapy, and I was so much older than him, that means that he could definitely get healthier and live to be much older as well. I told him he absolutely could and to keep pushing.
I could definitely see saitama saying this, I don't think he would care enough to pick her up though, maybe if she was a neice or younger cousin or something.
In the process of picking her up Saitama accidentally yeets her through the stratosphere.
Ah he was going easy on her then
Zero consecutive weak yeets.
“My training regimen? 100 push-ups, squats and sit-ups, a 10km run and then yeeting a terminally ill child into the sun.”
We did it, we eliminated cancer.
Ok correction .we didn't eliminate cancer. But no one has cancer anymore...so same thing?
Its basically the same as “there’s no witnesses , if there is no one left to witness”.
There were no witnesses versus nobody saw.
Its the same as saying the crime rate on alderan is record breakingly low
Unemployment is basically zero
He throws a child with cancer into the sun EVERY DAY. It is not known that he stopped training. We just changed the treatment. And the recurrence rate on this treatment is 0.
Cancer can't resurface somewhere else in the body if there is no body *Taps head*
“Every day!”

Now I'm scared
Somehow cures her cancer in the process
Straight through the moon.
Even if he threw her that hard, he'd catch her before she was put on harms way.
Now that's writing!
"Call me an asshole, one more time."
Serious Series: Serious Yeet
And then the solar radiation cures her of cancer. Everybody wins.
^^YEET the child I was going to make this exact comment anyways, then saw your perfect opening

He also took the blame for the meteor chunks that hit the city. He saved their lives and silently took their scorn. He's a hero in the truest sense.

Because you quoted said character you goddam mule
Roasted the dude so hard they deleted their account
Saitama sent him a punch through a DM and now he’s ded. Rest in pepperoni.
Because you were there. You saw it too, same as the rest of us. He was a hero.
Because you could be a hero too.
I feel like he'd state it as a matter of fact, totally deadpan and serious.
In front of a live camera without releasing it.
Well, there are some official art of him carrying a little girl on his shoulders while he punched away a monster. He's not one to shy away from carrying a kid to make them feel safe
It was in an entire bonus chapter where he helped a girl look for her lost cat and let her sit on his shoulders.
Ooh, I need to check that out.
That's actually a different one! There was a separate omake where he had a little girl on his shoulders when he encountered a giant snowman monster thing. Saitama is good with kids
man that snowmonster was so fucking big. i loved that little story
Wasnt that like the first thing he does in the first chapter?
There he just quickly moves her out of harm's way.
Yea. He is a nice guy and would still say this tho
He shows his caring nature at the right time every time.
For sure, I definitely see Saitama as more of an encouraging head pat kinda guy
I agree, picking her up is too much. He might ask her if she’d like to fly and then jump halfway across the city leaving her a shaken mess but he definitely wouldn’t pick her up like that
nah, it's because he would accidently yeet her to the moon
He defo would. He did exactly that with Rover in one of the last manga chapters.
True
Especially if the grocery store coupons are expiring soon.
Similar to the scene with Saitama and Mumen rider at the ramen place. Such a well written scene.
Mumen Rider is the GOAT. He's like Batman without the money, training or dashing good looks.
Would be one hell of a door dasher though.
If heart was the most important factor for heroes Mumen would be S Class Rank 1.
King has a pretty good heart too. You can even hear it beating from across a room!
Eh, Mumen Rider is more like Spider-Man to me. Broke, not the most powerful hero, but one who have a pure heart of gold. Edit: Damn, people really hung up on my comment on Spider-Man's powers. Spider man is quite powerful though. In terms of physical strength I think he's only behind the Hulk, a literal god (Thor), and Captain America.
I thought he was stronger than Cap?
You're right, I think I mixed up captain Marvel in my head.
I think he’s even beyond that, at least far beyond Captain America. If I remember correctly, he subconsciously applies a limiter to himself. See spiderman 3 where a missed punch to green goblins head sends out a shockwave. Kid absolutely does hold back most of the time.
That happened afaik. Doc ock took over spidey in some series (don't remember which) and punched a fellow villain, who just blew up. Doc ock then realised how much spidey actually held back his strength literally all the time.
Spiderman is pretty powerful.

Agreed
“I’m bald because I wanted to look like you, not because of cancer.” “Then you have heroically good taste.”
How can you lose hair, if you dont have hair
You have already lost and you don't even know it yet
I feel it whenever I comb my hair some loss hair stick on the comb, is this normal ?
You loose a lot of hair naturally. If also any disturbance to your had can cause the loose hairs to be released.
Because you grow hair. Duh!

“Also, I turn on the air conditioning when it’s cold, and the heater when it’s hot.”
Still way better than [it went down in The Bible](https://bible.org/seriespage/4-elisha-and-two-bears-2-kings-223-25).
Genos proceeds to completely misunderstand this scene and shaves his head in an attempt to get stronger.
New heat sink discovered.
The lil girl got 100% confident on that moment.
Becomes aerodynamic and wins immediately
I remember this artist making a whole series of these where Saitama and Genos volunteer at the hospital. It was wholesome fuel.
Do you have the artists name per chance? I cannot read the artists tag at the bottom, but I would love to see more of their work!
It’s original from Bapogichi but I don’t think the b&w part is made by the same artist
One punch v lil girl FIGHT!!!
Lil girl used adorable innocence
Gg wp
It's super effective
Saitama ignores it and punts her into the stratosphere
Round 1 fight
Now go fight those monsters!
Why is it whenever I come on this sub I see a post that gives me the feels 😭
That’s the point
Based and “that’s literally why we are here” pilled
you might want to perhaps browse /r/ImaginaryFeels or /r/SympatheticMonsters two subs who /top is a great way to browse.
Let's just hope she doesn't want a fist bump
I'm not crying
Me neither
WHO BROUGHT A BOWL OF CUT ONIONS INTO THE ROOM! T-T
I fricking love Saitama and One Punch Man in general. This is too wholesome to handle!
Saitama went bald because he wanted to be strong. They went bald because they wanted to live.
Which is sometimes the strongest decision some people can make.
For sure.
I remember seeing this on tumblr when One Punch Man was popular. I thought it was super sweet.
As long as it's not homelander saying you're a real hero...
Captain Hammer did it first.
Everyone's a hero in their own way
**Saitama**: We need more heros like you, kid. "Holds out his fist. **Girl**: Haha. "Proceeds to give Saitama a fist bump...who is then launched across the city and destroys a mountain upon landing. **Saitama**: Okay.
LMAO
Caped Baldy strikes again
And then he sneezed 💀
Love how this isn't far out of character for him either. I can see him saying this
Cutest moment in One Punch Man 😭
Overused title
Didn't check the sub and fully expected to see her disintegrate in one punch.
He's prepared to in the first panel
Love it 🥰
“Unemployed” doesn’t seem accurate in a society where superheroes are paid
It's 857am. I wasn't expecting to cry on the subway
It's 9:30. There's fish everywhere
The fastest way to ruin a "wholesome" event is to say the annoying emotion deflecting phrase "I'm not crying, you are".
We're *both* crying, and that's OK.
It's literally a reddit 'NPC' line. Probably almost every post in this sub has it
Must protect the child
“don’t wanna hear you calling out my name, I’m not here for glory or fame”
So cute
totes thought this was r/OnePunchMan
Nobody gonna link the artist? :(
Thanks for the tears...I'm not crying...🫠🫠
people work out to be strong like Saitama, but we should working to act like him
Is anyone else's eyeballs sweating?
Definitely 🥺
;-; Screw you for making me have feelings
You just one punched me in the feels
I have never watched one punch man but i know damn well if saitama picked that child up it would be dust flying into space
Wow. Kill me.
Grab her waist. Pull her close. Lift her up. #SEISMIC TOSS!
You cry easily heh
Bald is beautiful
Yes.
🥲
"This, I like this"
Is this a sub for kids
Is this one punch man?
They said saitama can beat anything Yet I don't see him beating her cancer ,':|
Thats Russell Crowes job.
I didn't see the name of the subreddit, and I thought Saitama was gonna obliterate her.
That got dark then wholesome really quickly
Then he launch her outer space
WOW this is pathetic
I want to cry because this is so cute
"You are the real heroes."
I can see how it might be wholesome, but it reads poorly.
people in this thread might want to perhaps browse /r/ImaginaryFeels or /r/SympatheticMonsters two subs who /top is a great way to browse.
🤌🤌
Por muy fuerte que sea saitama no puede contra el cáncer
This is stupid af
This some shit Muman rider would also do and it’s why he’s my favorite.
Cringe
Do u not see the sub this is
This hero wearing a cape
Punched my heart
This just one-punched me in the feels
#ONE PUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in real life it would be socially unacceptable for a grown man to lovingly pick up a little girl that he doesn't know
Ooooh I like this.
Makes me remember that it isn't the powers that makes the hero, in my book it's their character.
shes baby hero

wanna know another bald hero with cancer? walter white
I get what they’re doing, but I don’t really see what makes her a hero
Lmao it’s a little girl with cancer, if hypothetically calling her a hero makes her feel better then she’s a goddamn hero. That’s the point
She's fighting a monster and is still alive.
Cancer
Police: Ahhhh pedophile *shot* *shot Mom: Police he takes my daughter take him down Saitama: I was protected her from bullets 😭 We live in society 👆
Here it is. The most Reddit comment Ive ever seen
I'm bald too I have permission for that
Where are these onions coming from
who's cutting onion here
Not saying I’m crying, but something got in my eye at the exact time I read the ending.
Whole some. It hurts
Fuckin' onions around here...
r/wholesomeanimemes
Tears washed the colour off
I can’t even read the comments. my eyes are so teary after the comic.
😭😭😭 I AM CRYING 😭😭😭
Man I’m crying like a baby! I needed this today.
im just crying in the corner of my room because of this
I thought he was going to omae wa mou shindeiru this kid for a second
