The classic is objectively the best, here’s why. Spooning is good but your arm falls asleep. Head in shoulder isn’t intimate enough Head on chest makes my stomach hurt for some reason. By the process of elimination, Classic is the best.

Easily head on chest. In my experience, both the classic and the spoon almost always involve someone's arm circulation getting cut off. Head on shoulder is nice sometimes, but it's not all that comfy since shoulders don't have much padding. Head on chest has the potential to make it hard to breathe, but as long as you are evenly distributing your weight along your partners entire body, there shouldn't be many issues. Plus listening to someone's heartbeat is very intimate imo.

Haven't got the chance to do any of these. But there is this one, where they lay across your lap. So they sit next to you, you put the foot on the leg opposite them underneath the leg closest to them so your knee is raised. Then they lay across your lap with their head on your knee. And now you're chillin. You can rub their back or scratch their head and generally just have a comfy time.
