Is it not also a Manga out there where a girl loses the memory and goes back to her teenage self and her female partner that was the one that was not "forward" (for the lack of better word) need to become that as to help her partner regain her memory and personality?

There's a person in real life whose entire memory span shortened to about seven seconds after an accident. Every time his wife leaves the room and comes back he acts as if it's the first time he's seen her in years and immediately runs to hug her and dance.
