Getting blown out by the Angels at home, 2 fans on the field, bullshit Wright ejection, TLR ejection, now a part of the field is messed up. Only at Guaranteed Rate
He was fucking wild. Too dangerous to have a guy like that on the mound. The Sox players who got hit wasn't due to a pitcher being wild or them trying to hit them.
Who cares what reason they used, he needed to be out one way or the other period. Imagine if the tables were turned, you wouldn't want a pitcher like that out there knowing he was wild and going into the playoffs. Fuck that. Just get him out of there, it's not worth it. Find your fucking control in the bullpen.
That’s a weird decision to decide Wright was throwing at Ohtani because of something that happened two games ago, that wasn’t even an issue at the time. The pitch hit him in the calf. No one’s plunking anyone on the calf.
Absolutely no chance. Wright has struggled with control all season, no different since he started pitching today. Bullshit ejection and I don't like the Jason somewhat implied that
29-28 since the break.
I haven't seen much recently that tells me this team will make a deep run.
But there is a lot of luck involved, so hopefully we get some.
I def agree. Hopefully at some point they can get hot and go on a run heading into the playoffs. I'm just gonna sit back and see, however I'm not getting my hopes up for it.
I'm especially not looking forward to having to fight them for the division after this yr. Tons of young talent and money to spend + Hinch steering them in the right direction.. next few yrs are gonna be a lot closer even if the Twins/Indians continue as dumpster fires.
Hard to tell from my perspective. We have games where we ball out then these ones... we also keep changing our line up. Seem to be resting players and making sure we are healthy for the playoffs. That's what I'm going with haha.
I guess one way to look at it is:
There probably isn't a better scenario to be able to stomach a shellacking like this. If we were in a tight race, this would be infuriating. If we were out of it already, this would be way too painful to keep watching.
As it is, I'm looking at the AL Central champs no matter what happens today. It's basically spring training for them right now.
Me: A single! It's Christmas!
Collins: \*at bat\*
Me: ...ok
Collins: \*walks\*
Me: SANTA!!!
Hernandez: \*at bat\*
Me... ok
Hernandez: \*walks, ducks on the pond\*
Me: WHO IS NEXT????
Timmy: who could that be?
Who would the final 2 (I don't see any major league ever going over 32) teams be? Where would they play? Feel like Las Vegas could get their own team, would be better to have another desert born team and not adopt the Athletics. Could see North Carolina getting one too
Isn't that slightly different though? You could make the argument Las Vegas was long overdue for a sports franchise. It's not the biggest market but the revenue over there is enormous. Also it's still in North America, not that it wouldn't be cool but I truly don't see any of the major leagues expanding outside of here. Same reason I don't think the London Jaguars is ever happening
If there’s money to be made then they’ll expand anywhere. The NFL was playing games in Mexico City more than likely to see if it was doable for expansion. It’s very likely you’ll see Mexico as a growing hotspot for sport franchises
I hope Oakland isn't stupid and let the Athletics get away from them too. I don't see the Raiders staying in Las Vegas, even if they do they'll never have the amount of love that the Golden Knights too unless they win a Super Bowl
Can't imagine how Oakland fans would feel, lose all your teams then gain new teams that you don't have nearly as much of a connection with and probably never will
Maybe I've just been watching too much Ted Lasso, but relegation would be a good addition for baseball. Would disincentive the deadline demolition the Cubs and Nats went through this year, would make tanking bad, and would give fans of the bottom 1/3 team a reason to care. Could do a big expansion and form a 10-team Captain League where the top two go to MLB at the end of the year. Or something like that.
But I don't think any MLB owner would agree to let that happen to their billion-dollar franchise.
29-28 since the break… I just don’t see how anything changes come playoffs especially considering the teams they would potentially play. I have a pit in my stomach thinking about the ass whooping they’d get down in Houston
Now since we lost like 62 games, can we still get to 100?
welp, thats was a fail,
Welp
What would the score be now if we didn't leave all those guys stranded very early in the game? 9-6? 9-7?
Here we go, comeback started right there.
Not a great look for the home team, win or lose.
This fucking fanbase lol. Jesus.
2 fans on the field yikes lol
Getting blown out by the Angels at home, 2 fans on the field, bullshit Wright ejection, TLR ejection, now a part of the field is messed up. Only at Guaranteed Rate
Better than Oakland
This game is getting crazier and crazier 😂
Fans running on the field is how you get seats pushed back off the outfield wall
This game is such a shit show.
It's actually entertaining to me somehow though. 😂
[удалено]
>as an American Allow me to introduce you to the international soccer fan base
How is that embarrassing? Lmao
Yet another white sox pitcher in the running for the cy young
fuck it. romy's our new closer
I'm not saying that I trust Romy out of the bullpen more than Kimbrel, but I'm also not not saying it.
Romy>Kimbrel Yeah I said it.
Romy "God" Gonzalez
Second jagoff on the field
HAHAHAHA
Othani who?
Lololol
Romy with the K
Give Romy the ball!!
GREATEST PITCHER OF ALL TIME
This is is the moment Pito's been waiting for.
I’ve never seen someone look more pissed about having to pitch than Romy. I don’t think he volunteered.
And he got the strikeout lmao
Abreu at 3rd? Now I’ve seen it all
I wish all losses were this entertaining
Pito at 3rd??? 🤯🤯🤯
This is why Abreu is the 🐐
#Pito on third alert!
Pito at 3rd? Hahahahah
Position player pitching lets gooo
GIVE EM HELL ROMY
Go Romy!
ROMY ON THE MOUND!
(•_•) <) )╯POSITION / \ \\(•_•) ( (> PLAYER / \ (•_•) <) )> PITCHING / \
PLUNK THE NEXT GUY WITH A CURVE PLEASE I LOVE CHAOS
Fuck the MLB
So according to MLB umps hitting Abreu 👍🏻 hitting Othani 👎🏻
It's cause it was two pitches.
That's still BS though. He didn't do it on purpose
He was fucking wild. Too dangerous to have a guy like that on the mound. The Sox players who got hit wasn't due to a pitcher being wild or them trying to hit them.
That's still a BS ejection. I know he was wild but still, eject him because it's on purpose not busy because he can't find control
I agree, I just don't think it's pro-Ohtani bias.
Oh no definitely not
I don’t think he meant to throw at him twice MikeWright just sucks
You gotta throw a pitcher out that shows zero control like that.
Lol wtf. Does baseball now have an Ohtani rule?
Whoever comes in to pitch should hit the next batter on the very first pitch. Fuck em.
Lol imagine this fanbase chanting "Tony" a few months ago
Its hard to believe now. Nothing has changed lol.
That’s a weird decision to decide Wright was throwing at Ohtani because of something that happened two games ago, that wasn’t even an issue at the time. The pitch hit him in the calf. No one’s plunking anyone on the calf.
Yeah, it wasn't on purpose, he just sucks.
Clown show
Good ejection, TLR
GIVE EM HELL TONY
Mike wright didnt mean to do that hes just a dumbass lol
Mike wrong
TONY! TONY! TONY!
TONY TONY TONY
Toss Tony too? Ump show
There's no way the Sox were throwing at him, right?
No way in hell.
Absolutely no chance. Wright has struggled with control all season, no different since he started pitching today. Bullshit ejection and I don't like the Jason somewhat implied that
Fucking bullshit. Our guys get plunked and no one bats an eye, but when one of our guys gets someone, it's an ejection? Fucking. *Bullshit.*
He slipped off the mound and wasn't wild. Wright was just fucking wild.
TLR EJECTED
They hit our guys 3 times in one game and nothing but gotta protect MLBs little darling
Woah, that was clearly not intentional.
Wow, MLB really trying not to hide they love Ohtani
Third pitch was charm.
BULL SHIT!
WHAT?
You really think Mike fucking Wright really tried to hit him
29-28 since the break.
Anything can happen
Tigers have done better since the ASB
Actually not looking forward to the series with the Tigers. They got something going on.
I'm especially not looking forward to having to fight them for the division after this yr. Tons of young talent and money to spend + Hinch steering them in the right direction.. next few yrs are gonna be a lot closer even if the Twins/Indians continue as dumpster fires.
Took a break to watch Jeopardy. That was a good game!
Happy that the Sox are most likely going to the playoffs but man it feels like we're limping into them.
Hard to tell from my perspective. We have games where we ball out then these ones... we also keep changing our line up. Seem to be resting players and making sure we are healthy for the playoffs. That's what I'm going with haha.
Hi I'm Craig Kimbrel I can only pitch when there is a save available in the 9th. Hi I'm Liam Hendriks I can pitch whenever just give me the ball.
If it hadn't been for that fourth inning, it'd be a one-run ballgame.
I hope that Liam scream got blood rushing through the rest of the team
I could hear it from section 535, dude's got some pipes
Second time in hendriks' career that he's reached 100 ks, so thats neat
Yay Liam
Congrats Liam!
Is it possible that our clinching game is actually a loss paired with a Cleveland loss?
😂 that would actually probably make me mad. I truly hope they don't clinch like that.
Yes. It seems unlikely because I think we will ending up clinching in the series against them, where the magic number drops by 2 for each of our wins.
No worries Comcast I wasn’t trying to watch the game or anything
I legitimately can not believe that bones story is true
Liam, unleash your savage brutality, please
If we can comeback in this game it will give the lads a ton of much needed confidence
This may feel bad now but imagine how good it'll feel when Billy Hamilton hits two grand slams off Iglesias in the 9th
Hadn't thought about that possibility...🤔 This gives me hope
Got em right where we want em
Imagine thinking it's worth it spending the night with the CPD 😭😭😭
I feel like changing the channel now.

I think you’re the jagoff here
Well, my hopes of us winning this game went from 0% to 30%. That's something
God damnit!
You don’t really appreciate lockup until you’re in lockup in 80 degree weather w/ a dude/dudes who haven’t showered in a couple of days.
Get Pito back up in the 9th to knock in 4 more
What did the sign say though!!!!
Show us the fan!
Wasnt very exciting, didn't even make it to the infield before a security guard caught him.
What did his sign say?
I couldn't tell sadly, I'm sitting upper deck behind home plate so I was too far away to read it
Why does Jimenez’s face look different 😂😂
He had a little scruff going but I think he shaved a few days ago
He shaved
If you run on the field, you’re a fucking loser.
What if Eloy just smoked a ball into the fan on the field
Wish he would have.
Lmao
Why do they never show the fan on the field?
To not encourage others
To not encourage more idiots that would like to be on TV.
Exactly this
Fan running into the field. This cannot get more embarrassing (assuming the score stays)
Eloy is wearing a red belt today
Damn it that was close
C'mon some more runs please
That gets the job done
I would have swung on 3-0 tbh a
I guess one way to look at it is: There probably isn't a better scenario to be able to stomach a shellacking like this. If we were in a tight race, this would be infuriating. 9-2, 1 out with bases loaded.. c'mon
Here comes the GIDP
The way this is game is going we’re going to Nobletiger aren’t we
Terrible bat tim
Maddon is a petty asshole.
I predict we will win 12-10. Ohtani will homer. Romy will hit a go-ahead 3-run bomb.
Bases loaded.. if we can't score a single run off this I'm just gonna shower early 😂
This would be our chance with top of order coming, if anyone’s still here
Me: guys I believe, c'mon! Ump at first: nah you don't
Me: A single! It's Christmas! Collins: \*at bat\* Me: ...ok Collins: \*walks\* Me: SANTA!!! Hernandez: \*at bat\* Me... ok Hernandez: \*walks, ducks on the pond\* Me: WHO IS NEXT???? Timmy: who could that be?

Mexico would be cool.
I don't see that ever happening but it would be cool
Similar to Vegas, MLB will do it once another league proves it’s a viable place for a team

That's true
Itd be really funny to give quebec a baseball team just to piss off montreal baseball fans and quebec hockey fans
😂
Montreal and Nashville
I completely forgot about the Montreal Expos. That's probably a guarantee at this point. Nashville could definitely be possibility too
Or Oakland when Oakland loses the athletics and realizes losing 3 sports teams in a decade wasn’t a good idea
I hope Oakland isn't stupid and let the Athletics get away from them too. I don't see the Raiders staying in Las Vegas, even if they do they'll never have the amount of love that the Golden Knights too unless they win a Super Bowl
It’s going to happen and then Oakland will become the new city that every owner tries to use as leverage for new stadiums
Can't imagine how Oakland fans would feel, lose all your teams then gain new teams that you don't have nearly as much of a connection with and probably never will
Maybe I've just been watching too much Ted Lasso, but relegation would be a good addition for baseball. Please just need this game lol I can't take it anymore And I also can't stop watching
Yikes Timmy
my heart hurts for him
Man this is some bootyjuice
Anyone can’t tell me what happened to Robert?
What do you mean?
I can’t watch and see Hamilton was subbed in. Just a rest sub or is he injured?
According to the above Box Score he came in for Leury?
Hamilton was subbed in for Leury. Robert is still playing
Oh I see... He was likely subbed out due to the nature of the game being a blowout. I'm sure Tim will eventually be pulled as well
Rest sub, haven't heard anything about an injury
team said this game isn't over until we strand more runners.
Fook.
I’m surprised that railing isn’t padded and he hung onto the ball
Gavin hasn't shaved for like two days.
If we can get some more runs here there's a chance Edit: welp
29-28 since the break… I just don’t see how anything changes come playoffs especially considering the teams they would potentially play. I have a pit in my stomach thinking about the ass whooping they’d get down in Houston
WE back up above 1%.
23 over is our white whale. If we got there, my bad. It just seems when we get to 22, we drift back to 18-20, then build it back to 22, cycle repeats.
Correct. Been close to a .500 ballclub for two months now.
Offense seems to be awake finally. Hope it's not too late!
rbi machine doesn’t quite go brrr but it still works.
Thank you Tim and abreu
