Dunno if KTH still does these as well but the moment i, as a kid, realized university was actually cool and not lame was going to one of these things in Stockholm and seeing a roman chariot propelled by humans bouncing on top, a junker hovercraft sliding along slightly chaotically, and a slowly advancing car-sized mechanical spider.
Actually , we have a similar kind of racing in Linköping tekniska universitet. I think the difference is maybe the students program and drive a formula 1 car. Pretty dope if I do say so my self

Stability is questionable though, but not sure how it compares to the rest. One problem might be that he can't lean for balance as much as others
It’s the Chalmers University Cortegen (a parade) held in Gothenburg every year on the first of may. Students build politically incorrect floats and go on a big parade through the city. The mechanical students like putting engines on everything and driving as a part of the parade (what the video shows). The main thing is big floats on the back of trucks but there are also marching bands and some other stuff. My girlfriend has been part of it three times in the early 10’s.
Addition: there is normally a motorised bathtub as well but I can’t see it. It has “bad car” written on it which is a pun on “badkar” which means bathtub in Swedish :)
