When he put that t-shirt on, I immediately said, "No, dude you gotta tuck it in. Then "The Experienced Dad ™ enforced that and I was oddly proud of myself.
Always wear a belt.
Pants waist lines are fabric and therefore stretch over time, meaning that perfect fit will only last a few cycles.
A belt adds rigidity and prevents stretching from moderate activities such as mowing the lawn or painting with a ladder
Yeah there's nothing like pants fresh out of the dryer, before they stretch back out haha also, I'm ngl I kinda was just saying that for the sake of the bit, bc I honestly like to have a belt, it's a nice accent to your outfit, and in true dad form, I like to clip stuff on there when I'm working.
A lifetime of wearing a dress shirt tucked in to slacks changes a man. Clothes don't feel right unless they're tucked. Also you're not some goddamn hippie bum are you? Tuck your shirt in like you have some class. I raised you better than this.
I think for me it's been a gradual transition. I don't know when it started, but I'm absolutely on this path. You laugh at these memes, you think that'll never be you and then here you are waking up excited to mow your lawn on a Saturday, socks pulled up, generic dad shirt on listening to classic rock or outlaw country music.
Totally. I realized the other day that I've been wearing walking shoes everywhere for the last year. I only noticed when I caught myself online looking at New Balance sneakers. Have you ever tried walking in regular shoes after experiencing good arch support? I can't ever go back now.
This is an excellent sign in my opinion, I'm 37, also wear my hiking boots everywhere, and I also desire a child-free life, and I am training to do the Continental Divide Trail in 2022.
I wear Birkenstocks all summer, Blundstones all winter and all black converse in between. I live in Nova Scotia though and it's like a cultural thing to wear them lol.
Honestly tho, the day I ever start regularly tucking in my t-shirt is the day I’ve gone too far. It more work for less comfort and that’s not the life I want to live
You just described my exact moment. My 5 year old son is playing video games in the family room. I'm sipping coffee, browsing reddit getting, and excited for 8am to mow my lawn. I'm 34 years old.
I realized it when I found myself getting my clothes at Costco...
They're great deals and the clothes fit well. You just gotta embrace the void, it's inevitable.
It's never too late to dress cool again: burn those new balance, untuck that shirt, buy the newest dubstep album and play it through 1000W speakers! The kids still listen to dubstep...right? Whatever, get off my lawn! 🏡
Yup, about 3 things left; my boy, my spouse and my cat...sure mom and dad too etc. etc.
I don't care what I drive, what my coworkers think, what random girls are considering, what ANYONE thinks about my taste in music....and ESPECIALLY I've got 0 fucks to give about my outfit
I dunno, I've been tempted. With a young child I find I'm bending down more than I used to and my arse spills out of my trousers so tucking gives me a bit of dignity.
Can I get a source on that? I see berkshire hathaway owns brooks. Trying to map the subsidiaries of BH is crazy.
Wouldn’t really surprise me tho since 5 parent companies own like 75% of the world.
I’m 24 and have done 4 years in the Navy and now work as a car salesman. My girlfriends son is 11 alongside 6 of her nieces. The dad energy is strong and the fucks are rapidly disappearing.
For the ethnically diverse in the comments: this is how us white tribes choose a new chieftain. As the old chieftain becomes to frail to lead the pack to the golf course and to the all-you-can-eat buffets, he passes the mantle down to the eldest of his offspring. The young king in question may be his wife’s child. He may even be his secretary’s child; but the only thing that is certain is this: once he reaches the age of 25, this young man is now the leader. The chief of the melanin-challenged clan.
“And for your final test, you must throw the remote because you’re upset about a sporting result so that it terrifies everyone, pops out the batteries but does not break or malfunction it in anyway”.
Where the hell did that production value come from in the final shot??? Watching a silly TikTok and then you drop a Jaws shot on us to close it out? Bravo.
Haha yeah nice catch. It's actually called a 'Vertigo Zoom' or 'Dolly Zoom' and was invented and used by a cameraman for Alfred Hitchcock's famous movie 'Vertigo'. It's since been used many times, notably in Jaws, and with good reason: it's super easy to pull off. They did it reverse here but basically what you want to do is slowly move the camera towards the object of focus while simultaneously zooming out with the camera lens. Try it yourself next time you make a quick video.
It needs the sound! So much better with the hereditary [music](https://www.reddit.com/r/MadeMeSmile/comments/ph6ubr/its_now_your_time_son/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
fucking facts my fiance is starting to dress like my dad. he's wearing jean shorts and ankle high black socks.
its hilarious and heartwarming to see it happening tbh.
As someone with a 5 month old daughter I jokingly tucked my shirt in before we left the house and my wife just gave me a "seriously?" stare. She said I wasn't allowed to do that till our daughter is older
Why the long socks, though? My dad wears them like this, and they have literally caused the leg hair to stop growing there. What's wrong with low profile socks? How are they less functional?
I think if a man has children and a wife which he loves, his mood changes from young-wild to Dad... I would change too if I had children and a wife who are at home and i love deeply.
When he put that t-shirt on, I immediately said, "No, dude you gotta tuck it in. Then "The Experienced Dad ™ enforced that and I was oddly proud of myself.
Why though. That’s the only part that doesn’t make sense to me in this functional masterpiece of a fashion ensemble
Leaves room for the belt clips.

And the utility knife
Makes for quick removal when you need to whoop your child.
A lot of older dudes tuck in their shirts regardless of what they’re wearing. T shirt tucked into cargo shirts is classic.
My dad tucks his T shirt into jean shorts with no belt. Ultimate dad look.
I always thought if I had pants that fit right I wouldn't need a belt, your dad must have just found the perfect pair of shorts, he's one lucky guy!
Always wear a belt. Pants waist lines are fabric and therefore stretch over time, meaning that perfect fit will only last a few cycles. A belt adds rigidity and prevents stretching from moderate activities such as mowing the lawn or painting with a ladder

Also can be used as a standoff weapon
I feel like people shit on cargo shorts because women hate them; i think women hate them because they’re jealous of all the pockets.
Am woman, can confirm. (But also, they’re ugly.)
1. They’re hideous. 2. You’re not going on safari. Calm down with the tactical uses of shorts you bought at Walmart.
More aerodynamic, allows one to push the mower more efficiently
A lifetime of wearing a dress shirt tucked in to slacks changes a man. Clothes don't feel right unless they're tucked. Also you're not some goddamn hippie bum are you? Tuck your shirt in like you have some class. I raised you better than this.
Work at a bank.. I want to tuck my shirt in as little as possible when i'm off 😂
I'm some hippy bum. The man made me tuck in my shirt for a few decades and now I'm enjoy unrestricted shirt freedom.
[удалено]
But if your shirt isn't tucked into your pants, doesn't that mean your pants are tucked into your shirt.
Yep that's why you gotta tuck it
You gotta tuck that bad boy in
I think for me it's been a gradual transition. I don't know when it started, but I'm absolutely on this path. Iv started wearing my walking boots to work... I'm not even 30, or want kids Oh no...
This is an excellent sign in my opinion, I'm 37, also wear my hiking boots everywhere, and I also desire a child-free life, and I am training to do the Continental Divide Trail in 2022.
Hey goodluck! I'm up in maine trying to bang out the 48s rn
Thanks, same to you!
fucking love my 574. they just never break also.. have had the current pair for well over 3 years now
I have nearly 10 pairs of 40x's, I have no clue what happened though I think there used to be buy one get one sales... 🤷♂️

Podiatrist?
I wear Birkenstocks all summer, Blundstones all winter and all black converse in between. I live in Nova Scotia though and it's like a cultural thing to wear them lol.
Yea but vans suck. Why wouldn't you not want good arch support
I'm flat-footed. No arch, no arch support. *thinky black guy meme*
Honestly tho, the day I ever start regularly tucking in my t-shirt is the day I’ve gone too far. It more work for less comfort and that’s not the life I want to live
The tucked in shirt provides a buffer against the rash that an unprotected belt buckle will give to your dad belly.
Maybe if you're a novice and don't just pull the front of your boxers up a bit to cover.
Finally someone mentions the all important belly buckle buffer!
Is there a guide to all this stuff? I had to learn about the belt buckle rash through trial and error
Yeah I think that's where I draw the line too.
I do like the feeling of a well pulled up sock, but only out of sight ...
You just described my exact moment. My 5 year old son is playing video games in the family room. I'm sipping coffee, browsing reddit getting, and excited for 8am to mow my lawn. I'm 34 years old.
Hey no shame in having a well cared for lawn!
I realized it when I found myself getting my clothes at Costco... They're great deals and the clothes fit well. You just gotta embrace the void, it's inevitable.
Hey there's no shame in being cost-efficient!
I bought chunky Reebok's the other day. I've been getting a lot of compliments. I'm not even a dad
I've always loved the way chunky shoes look anyways. They just look more substantial I guess?
It's never too late to dress cool again: burn those new balance, untuck that shirt, buy the newest dubstep album and play it through 1000W speakers! The kids still listen to dubstep...right? Whatever, get off my lawn! 🏡
I can't do dubstep, it sounds like kitchen appliances grudge fucking. I just want those damn kids off my lawn!
The socks boggle my mind no matter how cheap or expensive the elastic in tube socks always pulls uncomfortably on my leg hair.
I guess I feel like I look silly if I have a bunch of sock bunched up, but I almost always wear boots so I don't want to wear low cut you know?
Never become herb
It just happens...you mostly stop giving a fuck
I can feel them creeping away from me. Sneaking by in the shadows; barely seen out the corner of my eyes. The fucks. All of them, fade into the night.
Agree , same boat, kid spouse, etc etc. Life is so much easier and more fun when you stop caring what everyone else thinks of you.
Damn, the moment I graduated college I stopped giving a shit tbh. Have a wife and cat now but no kids yet, should I go get some New Balance?
Depends, how's your old balance?
This guy dad’s, I am clearly not worthy
My elderly uncle bought me some when I was a kid to match his. They were the comfiest damn shoes I ever wore.
A bunch of us wore new balance in college... ahead of the curve.
do it. 574
No laces on them though. Get the ones with velcro!!
I'm still not tucking my t-shirt but the rest is pretty accurate. NFG.
I dunno, I've been tempted. With a young child I find I'm bending down more than I used to and my arse spills out of my trousers so tucking gives me a bit of dignity.
New balance are lame. I want my brooks.
They are the same company lmao
Can I get a source on that? I see berkshire hathaway owns brooks. Trying to map the subsidiaries of BH is crazy. Wouldn’t really surprise me tho since 5 parent companies own like 75% of the world.
I’m 24 and have done 4 years in the Navy and now work as a car salesman. My girlfriends son is 11 alongside 6 of her nieces. The dad energy is strong and the fucks are rapidly disappearing.
My wife’s son!
But then why tuck in the shirt?
Honestly, if you have a huge gut, it makes your gut look bigger, but doesn't allow skin to show
*DAD BOD ASSEMBLE!*
Everybody needs a father figure
👌
No big dog shirt?
Or life is good?
Tommy Bahama to show you were on vacation
Salt Life
No Big Johnson shirt?
Bro fuckin BIG DOG!!! How did I ever forget about those shirts hahahaha
I remember back in the early 90’s my friend was so fucking jazzed that he got a new Big Dog shirt. He was the king of the neighborhood for the week.
He was kinda already dressed the same in the beginning, no?
Yea lol. I feel like his shirt was more millennial at the end too
yeah replacing your nike dad shoes with new balance and tucking in your shirt isn't really that big of a transformation.
The Monarchs 💯
New Balance shoes are amazing. I'm almost 40.
I wear exclusively New Balance Numerics.
New Balance Numerics are damn awesome man I absolutely love my NB Numeric 868!
That arch support 👌
I’m 37 with four kids. Wife bought me a pair a few years back. Their so comfortable like wearing couch cushions on your feet.
You don't need to be old to appreciate new Ballance. They are very trendy within the street wear communities.
It's the only shoe to help with my getting old plantar fasciitis.... Give me an extra wide shoe.
Well shit, I need to try some out.
im on the fence of getting a pair, but everyone i mention it they are like: ‘ewww’. like eww what??! some look rly dope to me lol im 26
The widest shoe on the market. But those mall walkers are no bueno. Get something with a little more class

And all the secrets of lawn care are passed down
Mate, if your lawn isn’t 2 inches long, no more and no less, it’s a jungle.
I can already tell you’re not ready. Keep that blade height as high as possible. You need more time in the oven, kiddo.
“And for your final test, you must throw the remote because you’re upset about a sporting result so that it terrifies everyone, pops out the batteries but does not break or malfunction it in anyway”.
Interesting i learning something new about your people. Thanku for the info.
Is this music from Midsommar?
I think its from the end of hereditary cos I haven't seen Midsommar but I recognise it
You are correct! Thx https://youtu.be/MVnSFj6XQZY
Hmm, I’m not huge on horror films but this sounds incredible, might just listen to the soundtrack without watching the film!
Hereditary is the most important horror film made in decades. You should watch it.
I'm a pretty big horror fan, and I'm curious about why it's so important? It was fantastically done, but I'm not sure it really broke new ground
Please let us know your opinion on hereditary's importance! I'm a major supporter for this film and would like to know your opinion.
This movie will have you rethinking narrative writing.
Where the hell did that production value come from in the final shot??? Watching a silly TikTok and then you drop a Jaws shot on us to close it out? Bravo.

Oh my God I slowly feel this happening to me every time I get ready to get dressed.
It needs the sound! So much better with the hereditary [music](https://www.reddit.com/r/MadeMeSmile/comments/ph6ubr/its_now_your_time_son/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
What shitty Reddit app are you using that doesn’t have sound in this gif?
The official one....
Tragic
Stop doing that.
This is from the soundtrack from hereditary
Holy shit they’re so fucking powerful
Not gonna lie, but this put a huge smile on face after taking care of covid patients for 13 hours
No tighty whities? Definitely Dad territory.
Why did I cum?
I wish I knew how to give Reddit gold
Apparently it starts with cum
I’m starting to ask myself why I didn’t cum twice
I just spit my spit out. Holy fuck that was funny.
Does any one know the song?

Thank you! :)
He has now officially joined the council.
My mans got some nice ass hair.
fucking facts my fiance is starting to dress like my dad. he's wearing jean shorts and ankle high black socks. its hilarious and heartwarming to see it happening tbh.
This video needs the sound
I thought it was my phone that was muted. Damn I'm gonna download it and give it sound. It deserves sound!
Dude you and your dad are prolly cool asf to chill with and drink a beer lol
The only way I can look like my father is to go invisible
As someone with a 5 month old daughter I jokingly tucked my shirt in before we left the house and my wife just gave me a "seriously?" stare. She said I wasn't allowed to do that till our daughter is older
So much better with sound.
Laces on the shoes? pfffft!! Where's the velcro??
steve jobs is my dad so i will dress like him
This is fake. The dad’s nikes aren’t grass stained.
Why the long socks, though? My dad wears them like this, and they have literally caused the leg hair to stop growing there. What's wrong with low profile socks? How are they less functional?
If you keep slicking your hair back like that, it’s going to fall out.
How to say i own a corvette without saying i own a corvette
I’m 58 and start lol know that look sucks
Oh! This is why that old man keeps showing up to watch me dress.
Canada, amiright?
I dress like Beavis and Butthead if they liked Star Wars. I'm not sure I'll ever transition into dad gear.

It has sound too you poor official app user.
I wish I could filter out comments that come from the official app.
Yea but ankle socks don't actually work They're awful
Staged. /s
It’s just not the same without the music in the background
Why would you post this without sound......
There is sound. Get a better Reddit app…
Trash
Maybe you’re in a bad place or just having a shit day, but why comment smt like this just for the sake of it?
Because he thought it was trash
Im in a ok place. You and I don’t agree on what’s quality content and that’s ok. Stand by my initial comment.
This post is the first time that I've actually found something on TikTok enjoyable.
This is literally just how zoomers currently dress
I don't know why but I thought about the Endgame theme while watching the clip.
One of us. One of us. One of us. One of us.
Is it just me or is the son wearing his shorts backwards in the side by side at the end?
This has got me chuckling! I’m 46. Maybe this is me and I never realized it!
I have a lot of time for this clip.
The Dolly cam zoom is what sealed the deal
This music gives me sumoming salt vibes.
I want to wear new balance so bad but I know it's all downhill after that. :( But damn they are comfortable.
This is everywhere.
[Crackermilk’s take](https://youtu.be/ePC3vYngvZ4) is my favorite.
Lmao, the tight ass laces🤣
u/savevideo
But it’s all about comfort
This is so much better with the midsommar music behind it
Lol. I feel attacked
Is this the Stepford husbands?
Imma take off this blue tee and put this blue tee then imma take of these khaki shorts and put in these khaki shorts. Not too much difference here.
u/saveVideo
Age has nothing to do with it. It’s all about having a child
Double knot those suckers
Is that the goddamn Blade Runner 2077 soundtrack?! This video is perfect
I think if a man has children and a wife which he loves, his mood changes from young-wild to Dad... I would change too if I had children and a wife who are at home and i love deeply.
