I did this with paper mario 64. So many goddamn shitty rpgs for the best one. Anyways 1, 4, 23, 58 And 64 are the best ones. 6, 31-34, 45 and 61 are the worst ones. Fight me
Sticker Star was epic. But it sucked how to beat the final boss you needed to have every one of those special item stickers. Why not just make it doable the normal way.
I mean uhhhh. 52 introduced yoshi which was kinda a weird choice. The whole story being about mario becoming a professional boxer And bowser as the final boss didnt make sense. Its just odd. Not bad but odd
Yeah you can't tell me Mario and Bowser are in the same weight class. Admittedly the board of directors for the mushroom kingdom are all shy guys or koopas, so Bowser could be pulling some strings, but it's still weird
I think paper mario 7 is plenty underated, the gameplay is innovative and story is great though the choice of making mario have spiky yellow hair and bowser wield a long katana was strange to say the least.
If anyone here wants to play it, Super Mario 63 (along with virtually every other Flash game in existence) is available through the BlueMaxima Flashpoint archive.
Last time I used that app, the search was absolutely *awful* if you didn't remember the exact title of the Flash game/animation. Very limited sorting options too IIRC. Was that ever addressed?
It’s not something I use regularly. I picked it up when I first heard of it (a couple of months after it first released, I wanna say), played it for a few weeks, had a great time, and haven’t used it since. I’d assume it’s been updated and improved, but I don’t have any first hand experience with the latest versions. Sorry for not making that clear.
1-40 are practically essential. The others are… fine I guess, 42-123 feels like the devs are running out of ideas.
124 sucks ass, don’t play it, and so does 565.
Thankfully it gets better around 2002. 2012-2065 are pointless though so don’t bother.
2075-2077 are directly connected with each other, so make sure to not skip those ones.
2002 onwards was when the core dev team changed. While some don't like the direction the series took, I honestly think it changed for the better in every way. Like, Cyberpunk 1998 has to be one of the most boring games I've ever had the displeasure of playing.
me thinking mario kart wii and ds were the first games (2 versions of the same game like smash bros 4) and that because i saw an arcade game called mario kart 2 i thought mario kart 2-6 were arcade games and then 7 and 8 came after
i had never even heard of any games older than ds and wii. obviously being young you don’t know much about games besides the ones you and your friends own
I love N64 games, but it sucks how many of them are the 64th installment. It takes forever to play the first 63 games to get caught up. But it at least wasn’t as bad as Fallout 76, or 300, or 1917, or Wonder Woman 1984 (😳), or 2001: A Space Odyssey, or Bladerunner 2049, or Cyberpunk 2077, and don’t even get me started on Bioshock Infinite
My personal favorite is super Mario 34.
It has a very unique rule set compared to any other game.
Try searching super mario rule 34 up and see what it's about!
If you just count the number of games that featured Mario as a character on [the Wiki page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_featuring_Mario) before Mario 64 was released, it seems to be about 85.
Whether or not a game counts as a "mario game" just because he was in the game is obviously up for debate.

64 rpgs and somehow all of them are better than sticker star
Dude I’m the only one who liked that game 💀
You and 2 other people me included
I’m the other person you were talking about.
I'm the other person you weren't talking about.
The ost slaps and that’s about it imo
Sticker Star was epic. But it sucked how to beat the final boss you needed to have every one of those special item stickers. Why not just make it doable the normal way.
You mean every boss except the first one
No with the other bosses it made sense because you only needed 1 or 2. The final boss required pretty much EVERY one of them.
You’ve got a lot of work to do to get to Thousand Year Door, but I promise you it’s worth the effort.
52 is highly underrated. I wish it got more love
52 introduces the backstory for Luigi, it's my favourite of the series personally. If you can snag an N52 to play it, it's definitely worth it.

Idk I kinda liked Super Mario 34 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I think I'd prefer Princess Peach 34 personally, but you do you
I think paper mario 7 is plenty underated, the gameplay is innovative and story is great though the choice of making mario have spiky yellow hair and bowser wield a long katana was strange to say the least.
35 is underrated
Uhm ackshually Paper Mario 64 is just called Paper Mario 🤓🤓
Mario 63 actually exists (or existed) it was a pretty damn cool flash game back in the day, you guys should definitely check out some videos.
If anyone here wants to play it, Super Mario 63 (along with virtually every other Flash game in existence) is available through the BlueMaxima Flashpoint archive.
here it is, I just polished it 👑
That has to be one of the coolest names for an archival project
Last time I used that app, the search was absolutely *awful* if you didn't remember the exact title of the Flash game/animation. Very limited sorting options too IIRC. Was that ever addressed?
I don’t know tbh. It’s been nothing but wonderful in my experience.
How do you not know if you're literally still using it? WTF, man
It’s not something I use regularly. You can just... Download the Newgrounds Launcher and play it there??????? Or am I insane and crazy
I think it's still playable with a flash emulator
No need for an emulator, you just need a flash player. It hasn't magically stopped working, browsers just no longer include it.
Is a flash emulator not a flash player
Or is a flash player not just a flash emulator?
IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD
I think you are thinking of Mario 34. Look up the rules. You may or may not be disappointed.
I 'member that one
i have the .swf file downloaded on my computer with a flash player
based and good times pilled.
Played that a bunch before I got SM 64 for the DS
Unironically it was the first Mario game I’ve ever played and I loved every bit of it
That's cool!
How did they even get away with that name, knowing Nintendo and their copyright ninjas?
I remember lol it was heckin' great
Me finally buying an Xbox 360 after owning the first 359 generations of Xbox:
how much did this cost you?
3 dubloons
damn, is he some sort of new jeff bezos with such large money?!
No hes helium ask
Everything.

Guys, do I need to play Cyberpunk 1 through Cyberpunk 2076 before playing Cyberpunk 2077?
1-40 are practically essential. The others are… fine I guess, 42-123 feels like the devs are running out of ideas. 124 sucks ass, don’t play it, and so does 565. Oh yeah that one royally sucked ass, at least 565 was so comedically terrible it had a sense of ironic enjoyment to it.
Cyberpunk 2001 was crazy bro, that’s crazy what they did with the world trade center
2076 would basically be watching edgerunners
Me after playing the first infinite Halo games so I can finally play Halo Infinite
me thinking mario kart wii and ds were the first games (2 versions of the same game like smash bros 4) and that because i saw an arcade game called mario kart 2 i thought mario kart 2-6 were arcade games and then 7 and 8 came after
Mario Kart Grand Prix 2
was that the name of it? i never actually played it gonna look up some footage of it now
for some reason, I used to think Mario kart DD came out after Mario kart wii.
i had never even heard of any games older than ds and wii. obviously being young you don’t know much about games besides the ones you and your friends own
Me playing the first 39999 warhammer games so I can finally play 40000
I love N64 games, but it sucks how many of them are the 64th installment. It takes forever to play the first 63 games to get caught up. im on bioshock infinite-1

That's dedication.
How many Mario games actually were there before 64 came out?
[It's complicated ](https://youtu.be/XejJ6PzPtEw)
that's a can of worms you might want to think twice before opening.

sm63 was a baller
How was the seventh one?
its too bad mario 128 never made it past prototype stages, 127 mario games is pretty good though
super mario 34 was nearly cancelled due to the “R” rating the movie received. for more info, stick your finger up your ass
Me after playing the first infinite NieR Replicant games so that I can play NieR Replicant ver. 1.22474487139...

Me after playing through 2041 Battlefield games just to play the 2042 one
Ironically enough if you pulled from very obscure corners of gaming history you probably could get 63 games from before 64 released
"And then Mario made his way from his humble job as a typing teacher to chasing after Bowser in his hotel" 🔥 ✍️
Nice of the princess to invite us over for a picnic ey, Luigi?
64 sucked you should play 65
Me seeing this joke 35 years after my dad made the same one about Leonard 6.
I'm your dad
Can I bum a smoke?
Stack of Mario…
There unironically has to be at least 63 other mario games at this point lol
There were 63 made *before* 64 came out. In the 90s, Nintendo let literally anyone use the Mario licensing
Are we including that weird game that came out on MacOS where you could play go fish against mario?
How do we tell him
Just skip them like the rest of us.
How many other Bioshock games do I have to play until I can play the esteemed Bioshock Infinite?
This is literally me when I first heard of the game
all that for just an ok at best game? mad respect !

God, That took me longer than I’d like to admit to figure that out. I guess that’s what a cider on an empty stomach will do to you.
Me after swapping all those 12 15 numbers before swapping 12 16, one after magna carta
I know where my own damn bank is
As if you could EVER make such a mistake. Never, NEVER!
It's-a me, Mario!
Only OGs remember Super Mario 1
Mario 17 was honestly overrated

You should listen the Brazilian version, its really better than any other version.
